The manager and the staff are wonderful. They are always thinking of the residents and always put their needs first. Whether that be of a medical nature or entertainment/stimulation i.e games, music and sensory activities. Us as relatives are always involved in whatever is going on in the home and always asked for our views. You can visit at whatever time you like without having to advise them first - very much an open door policy. Their communication with us relatives is excellent they will always call and advise us of the slightest things. Just a lovely friendly family atmosphere.

My sister continues to be cared for with kindness and compassion by the lovely team at The Cedars. The home is exceptionally well run with well trained, compassionate staff who do all they can to meet the many and varied needs of the residents. The fact that many members of staff have worked there for several years speaks for itself - they are a family and make the residents feel part of that family. Visitors are welcomed and encouraged to be involved in the many activities that the home organises. The overall care package offered is extremely holistic addressing physical and mental needs within a warm, safe, family environment.

I have always found Cedars care home and staff exemplary..I know my resident is always well cared for. I am always kept up-to-date about his well being. The care home has lots of activities, concerts, Carol services etc and in the summer bbq get togethers.

Think the manager and staff at Cedars are excellent. They are always thinking of the well being of the residents. Plus one always hears from the home if there is any medical or worrying situation.Love to hear the entertainment the home puts on for residents and you are always invited to attend.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. It's so reassuring to hear that you feel well-informed and supported, and that our focus on residents' wellbeing is clear. We're also glad you enjoy the activities and entertainment-having families involved makes them even more special.
Staff are lovely and the mangment is super efficient. Communication is very good at all times. Staff manage the varing needs of the resident well and always with good humour. The food is also very impressive.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's wonderful to hear that our team's care, communication, and sense of humour have made such a positive impact. We're also delighted you're impressed with the food-your feedback means a great deal to us all.
My review relates to the whole year in which my wife has been a resident (since March 13/2024). I cannot praise too highly the attitude of the management and the approach of the care givers. The manager not only manages the home efficiently but has created all sort of activities far beyond the needs of basic care -- visits from exercise teachers, Bollywood dancers etc. Residents' birthdays are celebrated as communal activities. She encourages the staff to see their role as getting to know residents personally and engage with them in their memories and troubles. For their part the carers obviously not only care for residents but care about them. They are considerate of, and patient with, the occasionally sometimes quite difficult residents. I'm 77 and travel on public transport well over an hour each way three times a week to Cedars but I have no inclination to look for another home. Indeed I am so glad when I do leave not to have worry about the hands in which I leave my wife.
Thank you for such an amazing review, it's a privilege to be entrusted with the care for your wife!
The facilities are always clean and comfortable, with a wide range of activities that keep residents engaged and stimulated. It's clear that everyone here is dedicated to making sure residents feel respected, valued, and loved.
Thank you to everyone at Cedars Care Home for giving our family peace of mind and providing such a wonderful place for our mother to call home. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a small family environment care home.
Thank you for your kind comments and the excellent feedback, much appreciated!
The food is all cooked fresh and always looks well-presented and tasty. The home has been completely redecorated in the past year and looks fresh and welcoming.
The care manager has been helpful with form filling as well as arranging transport for a hospital appointment with an appropriate carer to accompany my husband.
Thank you for the lovely review and kind words, much appreciated! It's a privilege to be able to support your husband.
This is a small care home, more like a house than a home. The carers are so good and kind. They watch the resident's every move, for safety. The meals are cooked on-site.
Thank you for your feedback, it's much appreciated!
His health and well-being have dramatically improved since becoming a resident.
All the staff are pleasant, fully attentive always on hand to help and go beyond their expected duties.
The new manager is amazing, arranging events and regular catch-ups to keep updated on a one-to-one basis with the resident's family and loved ones.
The barbecue (26th August ) was a great success enjoyed by all. Thank you all at The Cedars for all your hard work. It's great to know that my father is being cared for with such passion, leaving me with a lot less stress and worry.
Thank you for your kind comments we really appreciate your support and are glad you enjoyed the BBQ event.
My Dad was a Cedar resident on a temporary basis after his discharge from a prolonged stay in the hospital. The care he received on a daily basis was excellent. He arrived frail and bewildered and left Cedars strengthened and in good spirits. We are very grateful to the staff for everything they have done for Dad we couldn't have wished for better care.
Dear Liz, Thank you for your nice review, which has been shared among our staff members who appreciate your positive comments about the excellent care as mentioned in your review. It was our pleasure looking after your father at the time in our care home and we wish you all the best.
We are impressed by the care, dedication and attention to detail provided for our cousin. Every effort was made to find acceptable food for him. Our cousin was a very difficult and unique individual, very deaf and with limited vision. He had no teeth having pulled his own out years ago! Cedars coped very well with this cocktail!
It was our pleasure looking after your Cousin as we appreciate your honest review.
My mother is very happy at The Cedars. She regularly comments on how lucky she is to be there. She enjoys the food and I understand the staff do their best to ensure she is kept hydrated. I am always impressed by how helpful and patient the staff are. My mother’s life has improved greatly since moving to The Cedars.
We are grateful for your support and have recently introduced a Hydration station, which I'm sure Mum will love.
My father suffers from Alzheimer's and was no longer able to live independently. I have found the staff to be very attentive and caring to him. His behaviour is challenging at times but the staff are patient and calm towards him and notify me as soon as any changes occur. I am very happy with The Cedars and always made welcome, when I visit and feel it is a good "family" home for Dad to live in.
We appreciate your support and kind review about our home. I will pass on your kind words to the care team.
Staff were always welcoming, friendly and dedicated to the care and well-being of the residents.
I was able to visit at any time, and I cannot fault the care given to Mum.
My first impression of The Cedars was that of a friendly ‘family’ home, the one we chose above all others in the area.
I’m happy that Mum spent her final years there.
Thank You for your positive response, and pleasure looking after Mum for all those wonderful years.
My mother passed away in September after being a resident of The Cedars for two years. During that time, I was extremely happy with her care and welfare.
Generally a very good two weeks were spent by my mother in rehabilitation upon leaving hospital. Worth recommending.
As her health has changed, the care home has responded at all times, with new food or medication as called for.
I have always been informed of any changes in her health and kept up to date with any treatment.
The staff are friendly and happy to help with any problems.
Hello Pauline,
Many Thanks for your kind review as we appreciate your feedback.
The staff are always very friendly and look after the residents very well.
Thanks Monica, it is always a pleasure when you visit our home.
