We cannot fault the quality of care provided, from hygiene, medical, meals and social activities.
The care throughout her stay has been kind, friendly and attentive which no doubt contributed to her long and happy stay.
Needless to say, we would not hesitate to recommend David Gresham House to anyone looking for a first-class care home either for themselves or for an elderly relative.
We appreciate your kind words.
My mum has been a resident at David Gresham House since March 2020. The staff and management have been amazing with Mum and very supportive of us both during her stay as she has quite unique needs which warrant continuous reassurance for extreme anxiety and constant tremours also mild vascular dementia. The only reason why she has now been moved to a care home is that her needs are becoming more intense and I have family nearer there to help me support her.
Thank you for your very kind words, it is very much appreciated.
My mother spent a fortnight in respite care at David Gresham House. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or professional, ensuring that she had a most pleasant stay in a lively and caring environment. I would happily recommend the home both for respite care and a longer stay.
Thank you for your kind words, it is very much appreciated.
I went in for respite care and was extremely well looked after. The staff were excellent and everyone was friendly.
Thank you for your kind review, it is very much appreciated.
I was very impressed with the care of all the staff involved, nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you for completing our feedback survey it is very much appreciated.
My mum transferred to David Gresham House for respite care following a stroke. From the outset, the manager and her team made Mum feel so welcome and have attended to her specific needs with compassion and respect. Mum has settled in well and is enjoying the comprehensive range of social activities on offer, the varied menu and additional in-house services that are available (hairdressing and chiropody as examples). As a frequent visitor, I have met several other residents who all appear happy and comfortable in their environment. The staff are very friendly - most have worked there for many years, which speaks volumes. Outside services that I have encountered speak highly of David Gresham House. I could not wish for a better place for Mum to be!
Thank you for your very kind words it is very much appreciated.
Mother was well cared for by friendly staff and, although only at David Gresham House for six weeks, was made to feel very welcome and included.

An excellent care home that has kept residents safe through Covid, whilst facilitating some visits and as much entertainment as they can. Dedicated staff and well managed. The gardens are lovely in the summer, a nicer meeting room that visitors could use that is Covid safe would be great for winter.

Excellent, caring and professional staff. Have consistently cared for my father through difficult times. Beautiful grounds and homely rooms. Can't wait for the day we are able to visit in the sitting room without making an appointment and chat to all the residents but fully understand that any limitations in visiting are to keep all the residents safe.

My dear mum was a resident here for seven years. Mum always said how kind everyone was to her. We also experienced loving kindness when we both stayed at the home, and visited Mum for the day. I felt my mum was in a safe loving home, and during the Covid pandemic, the home ensured we could still connect to Mum, via FaceTime. I also managed some special in-person visits which were are truly memorable for me. As my dear mum came to the end of her life, this care home made it easy for me to be alongside my mum as she died. I have tremendous respect and appreciation for the professionalism and care the whole staff provide in this truly values-based home.

We are very happy as a family how Abbeyfield has protected all residents, including our mother, during the Covid pandemic.
Thank you for taking the time to review us, it is very much appreciated.
My mother came for five weeks respite and stayed for five years. She was without doubt very happy at David Gresham House, and we can't thank all of the staff enough for their consistently kind and professional work that made it such a great home for my mother and also a real pleasure for us to visit.

My sister and I have found David Gresham House to be very considerate of our mother's needs and have always kept us informed of any changes, especially in such a difficult time. Our mother is very happy and only has kind words to say, which is unusual for her! We would both thoroughly recommend David Gresham House for respite or residential.

During Covid, everything has been done to keep all safe but amusements were maintained and the staff were very helpful in keeping relatives in contact with the residents.
I have recommended David Gresham House in the past and would certainly do so in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to review David Gresham House, it is very much appreciated.
I am disappointed that David Gresham House volunteers have not been permitted to return. I do hope that this will start to happen again soon, perhaps once everyone entering the building has had a booster jab. One of the strengths of David Gresham House is its lovely volunteers, as they bring fresh energy and interest to the residents. My mother was able to have a change of room earlier this year, which has made a difference to her restricted life.
Thank you for taking the time to review David Gresham House, it is very much appreciated.
Communication throughout has been very good and the feedback I receive from my mother provides me with comfort in the knowledge that her care and well-being is at the forefront of everything they do.

David Gresham House provided wonderful care for Uncle. Treated like family. A very comfortable clean well-kept room, lovely home-cooked food which was very much enjoyed. There are well-organised activities that can be joined in with if it takes your fancy. It has been reassuring to know he was being so well cared for.
Thank you for taking the time to review and for your comments.
The best decision my uncle and I made was to move him from his flat to David Gresham House.
It’s such a friendly, inviting home that doesn’t feel like a care home at all - and yet the care is there in everything the brilliant staff do, from the daily banter to making the rooms feel homely and practical - nothing is too much trouble.
The Covid care has been absolutely exemplary and I’m so grateful my uncle was there during the pandemic where I knew he would be safe but have company and support.
If I see out my days at David Gresham House I will be a very lucky man indeed.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review we really appreciate your support.
