My mother has been in David Gresham House for 4 years. The staff are kind and friendly and there is little turnover which indicates that they are happy working there.
The activities organiser is tireless in her efforts to keep the residents busy and entertained. The activities are wide-ranging and
various to suit everyone's taste.
Residents feel safe and well cared for.
Reply from Emese Pomezanski, Registered Manager at David Gresham HouseThank you for your review Diane. Our priority is the residents safety and well-being and we welcome feedback in any areas where it is felt we could improve on.

My mother initially went to David Gresham House for respite care. She received such excellent care that she took the decision to stay permanently. We are all full of praise for the whole team, who are professional and caring, and always friendly and accommodating. My mother feels safe and supported
and is treated with respect and compassion. There is a full and varied programme of events and outings to ensure residents are stimulated and entertained, and feedback is sought and encouraged. We are delighted with all aspects of David Gresham House and would highly recommend it.

Clean and welcoming. Staff always particularly friendly and helpful. Food is good and varied, and the cook happy to accommodate with any special wishes of the residents. There are many activities should residents want to participate. More outings would be good, they. seem to be quite infrequent.
Reply from Iain Looms, AWVS Central Office at Nower HouseThank you very much for taking the time to review our home. Our team will be delighted to read your kind words.
Our schedule of outbound trips is displayed at the home; however, we are always open to ideas that might enable our residents to explore new places. Any suggestions or proposed destinations would be most warmly received by our activities and community liaison team members.
Once again, thank you for your kind review.

My mother has been a resident of Hatchmills in Farnham since July 2025. I have to say, having visited 5 care homes prior to selecting Hatchmills, we feel 100% that we made the right decision to put my mother into this carehome.
The care that my mother recieves (she turns 80 on the 19th June) as an
alzheimers patient is amazing. All the staff are so caring and attentive. They clearly work at Hatchmills as they want to make a difference. The admin team lead by Tammy & Tracey are also outstanding.
I cannot recommend enough this carehome and would always be happy to share my views.

It is an amazing care home. As it is so small and the carers really get to know the residents it has a lovely family feel. My parents were there for 8 years and my mum still is. I know she is well looked after and safe and there are lots of outings and activities. I do think the communication can be
poor sometimes and the diary not checked for medical appointments. Otherwise outstanding.

My mother feels loved, she loves her carers, she is happy and we are extremely grateful for this. It is also a huge accolade for Hatch Mill. Over and above that, she is so very well looked after, no effort is too much for the staff. Hatch Mill is run to genuinely help its residents, not for financial
profit.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The first thing that strikes one about Nower House is the friendliness of the staff. They all knew my name from the first day and would use it even when passing in a corridor. They were alert to our every need, even before we thought of asking. Response times to the call buttons issued to all residents
were remarkably swift, whether during the day or at night.

Next on everyone's praise list is the quality of the food, whether the full meal at lunch, the lighter, evening snack or the excellent, sometimes extraordinary homemade teacakes served midway through the afternoon.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Nower House to anyone looking for a friendly, beautiful home offering residential care in this part of the world.

What a fantastic Christmas party the staff at Nower House put on for the residents on Tuesday afternoon. The entertainment & buffet was great & the residents participated & looked so happy. First a huge thank you!
My Aunty Anne lived here for almost 2 years - she was happy, safe, and well looked after.
Especially thank you to Tammie, Tracey and all the staff for their unrelenting care, compassion, kindness and for making my Aunt feel looked after and valued.
Despite having to leave
her home of over 50 years, she settled in quickly and the staff were always ready with a smile, or (since we lived over 300 miles away) at the end of the phone with updates, reassurances or advice.
This was invaluable to us.
My wife has worked in the care profession and this is one the best Care Home she has come across.
I would have no hesitation in recommending it - right from first enquiry to the final moments staff have been considerate, understanding, helpful and generous with their time.
Thank you again.

I visited David Gresham house with a view to respite care for my mum. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They invited my mum to come and join a couple of taster sessions prior to her stay where she joined in the exercise group then stayed for lunch. This was very helpful to familiarise
mum with the staff and to begin to builld relationships with the other residents . I was extremely impressed by the caring and respectful way the staff interacted with all the residents. The home cooked food was excellent. The residents i spoke to expressed how happy they were to be living there, i also met a number of volunteers who sang the praises of the staff and how well run the home is.
I have looked at many care homes in the area and David Gresham stands a head and shoulders above the others in terms of their friendly caring environment and excellent activities programme which i know mum will enjoy when she stays there.

My wife and I came to Maitland House today to join my father-in--law for their annual Barbecue Lunch!
We arrived with grandson in his buggy and found my father-in-law. We quickly got ourselves into the lovely garden and took a bench seat at the back of the garden - we were late!
Quickly the staff,
though, rallied around offered us drinks, providing a suitable chair for my father-in-law to sit and took our meat order for the Barbecue, told us where to help ourselves to salads and provided a side table to hold our drinks etc.
The afternoon was great fun especially with the entertainment - a singer - who new his stuff and was a dab hand with his violin as well. The food as was good, the service help impeccable especially the little jug of cream to make chocolate cake dessert which my father-in-law and I especially enjoyed and moreover the second slice! A great time! Thanks all.

My father is a recent resident and has just celebrated his 90th birthday here.
The staff are very caring and have gone out of their way to make him feel comfortable and at-home.
The garden is lovely and easy to access. There are activities throughout the week and a well organised excursion about
once month. A facility minibus means trips are both local and far ranging.
The food is really good, and care is taken to make sure there are always meals that my father will enjoy. Snacks and tea are provided throughout the day.
Visiting is easy and it has been a pleasure to get to know the regular carers and other residents.
I really appreciate how communicative the staff and management are, which has been reassuring and very helpful. I am kept informed of how he's getting on and his changing medical conditions, and feel well supported when making necessary decisions about care.
I highly recommend Ridgway Court and am very appreciative of the care and fond attention my father is receiving.
