I have a Lasting Power of Attorney for my step-grandmother who has been a resident for over 6 months. Hatch Mill has become her home and she loves both the place and the staff and she is very happy.

From my own perspective the management team and staff have, and continue to be, excellent; nothing is too much trouble and the care provided is clearly outstanding. I have been made to feel welcome during every visit, am always met with a cheerful smile and am given real time to discuss issues as and when it becomes necessary. I feel that my step-grandmother is an important and loved member of the Hatch Mill family and not simply a 'resident'. I could not praise the Hatch Mill team more highly; a difficult time for my step-grandmother and our family has been made easier and the caring and loving environment is so reassuring for us all.

We have been very impressed with the level of care that our mother has received at Hatchmill. The staff are attentive & genuinely care about every resident. Alot of thought goes into the weekly activity programme promoting a stimulating environment for all levels of cognitive ability. The home is always clean, light & welcoming. The beautiful well tended garden is enjoyed by all. We cannot thank the management & staff enough for all their efforts.

My mother has been a resident of Hatchmills in Farnham since July 2025. I have to say, having visited 5 care homes prior to selecting Hatchmills, we feel 100% that we made the right decision to put my mother into this carehome.
The care that my mother recieves (she turns 80 on the 19th June) as an alzheimers patient is amazing. All the staff are so caring and attentive. They clearly work at Hatchmills as they want to make a difference. The admin team lead by Tammy & Tracey are also outstanding.

I cannot recommend enough this carehome and would always be happy to share my views.

Lovely care home with lovely gardens that the staff take great pride in. My mother has been well looked after for a couple of years here. Good range of activities for those who choose to be involved. Parking is easy with good wheelchair access to the centre of Farnham. All the staff are very caring and professional. Never had any issues

My mother feels loved, she loves her carers, she is happy and we are extremely grateful for this. It is also a huge accolade for Hatch Mill. Over and above that, she is so very well looked after, no effort is too much for the staff. Hatch Mill is run to genuinely help its residents, not for financial profit.

First a huge thank you!
My Aunty Anne lived here for almost 2 years - she was happy, safe, and well looked after.
Especially thank you to Tammie, Tracey and all the staff for their unrelenting care, compassion, kindness and for making my Aunt feel looked after and valued.
Despite having to leave her home of over 50 years, she settled in quickly and the staff were always ready with a smile, or (since we lived over 300 miles away) at the end of the phone with updates, reassurances or advice.
This was invaluable to us.
My wife has worked in the care profession and this is one the best Care Home she has come across.
I would have no hesitation in recommending it - right from first enquiry to the final moments staff have been considerate, understanding, helpful and generous with their time.

Thank you again.

My aunt has been a resident at Hatchmill since Feb 2022. Since that day I have been nothing but impressed by the quality of care provided by the staff there. Beyond the expected levels of care delivered to the residents I have been particularly impressed by the kindness and patience shown to residents. Interactions are always made with a smile and cheery approach which makes such difference.

Overall very good. Do find it very difficult lately to get through, I have rung several times at different times and it always says can't take your call now .Ive left messages but they do not ring back.I needed to talk to someone about my brothers update from the hospital but just could not get hold of someone to tell. I have been ringing upstairs and getting the carer to find someone for me to speak to on the downstairs desk. I appreciate that you are always busy but sometimes these calls to you are very important or sometimes urgent.

The staff at Hatch Mill were excellent in helping my mother settle into the home. Since moving in they have really got to know her and she has been glowing in her praise about their kindness and care.
During a period of sickness the staff were excellent at liaising with the GP and keeping the family updated.

When visiting I have observed the encouraging atmosphere in the home and witnessed the staff's gentle interactions with residents.

My Mum was a resident at Hatch Mill for over 2 years and received the kindest care from all the staff there. She was extremely well looked after and I'm sure that their care prolonged her life.
Mum had the opportunity to take part in the many activities and outings provided by the Home and also enjoyed the accessible garden. Their food is very good and plentiful and she never refused a piece of cake or a biscuit.
During the last month of her life, Mum needed a lot more care but was able to stay in her room where everything was familiar, safe and secure. I cannot fault the superb way she was looked after during this difficult time.

I would highly recommend this Home.

My mother is getting excellent care in Hatch Mill. She was able to care for herself (and live alone) until she was 103, but because of frequent falls, we approached Hatch Mill for full-time residential and nursing care. Although never wanted to go into Care, she soon realised that she was getting really well looked after by both the nursing and care staff who treated her with dignity and kindness at all times. The family also get greeted warmly when visiting which, of course, helps greatly.
Management operates an 'open door policy', which means that we feel very comfortable being able to discuss anything with them. We're always given the necessary time and never feel rushed.

As an example of how they go 'the extra mile', to celebrate my mother's 105th birthday, we were allocated a lovely lounge where we were able to invite a number of her friends to help her enjoy this momentous occasion. Hatch Mill provided an excellent afternoon tea which was enjoyed by all.

Altogether, our parents spent very nearly ten years at Hatch Mill by the time our mother died just before Xmas 2023.
Our mother praised the care home frequently during her seven years there as a resident, particularly during her last months as her body gave up on her and so she became ever more dependent on the quality of staff care. She was so grateful for the sheer kindness and thoughtfulness of many of the regular staff.
There was over the ten years a continuity provided by the core staff there - nurses, carers, cleaners, managers - who were long-term employees, and whose dedication to their roles there has been their vocation, and gave the home a certain feel like an extended family. It was a little community which we as visiting relatives valued in itself and were made to feel part of.
It is a transparent kind of setup, with safe but simple access for visitors.

The home managed the hard Covid times well, although maybe too restrictive at times in its trying to keep out Covid.

Hatch Mill has a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. There are a number of activities offered if residents want to be involved and a lovely peaceful garden, weather permitting. There was a good choice on the menu and plenty of drinks were offered during the day.

Since mum moved to nursing care in November 2022 the quality of the care has been exemplary. She is no longer able to make much obvious engagement with most of the organised activities, but does seem to enjoy getting out of her room from time to time.

My mother is 94 years old, very frail, and suffers from Dementia. The love and care the Hatch Mill team show to my mum is amazing. It can't be at all easy to do this vital job with the compassion and love that they give to the residents of this great care home, and always with a smile on their faces.

The staff and management are truly wonderful, and this gives me much peace of mind to know that my mum is getting the best care possible.

My mother had been resident at Hatch Mill for five years. Extreme old age caught up with her last year and she died in the home on 6 October 2022.

My brother and I have commented before on the high standard of care she received throughout her stay, and this extends to the palliative care she received in those final months. We are hugely grateful for the kindness and dedication shown by all of all the staff in those sad times.

Our experience from the word go has been extremely positive. My discussions with staff prior to mum moving in were informative and reassuring, enabling a relatively easy transition into Hatch Mill. Despite any move being unsettling, mum is very positive about the home. She likes the food, finds the staff friendly and helpful and generally has a ‘good feeling’ about where she is living. I also have found the staff to be supportive and responsive to any issues raised.
