Echelforde Care Home has been a godsend for our family. Mom, with her severe dementia, has thrived in their care for over a year. The staff's dedication is unparalleled – their enthusiasm is infectious, and their attention to detail is remarkable. From delicious meals to engaging activities, the manager and her team go above and beyond to make life enjoyable for residents. They even organize frequent concerts and events, some open to families, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity. Given their exceptional care and commitment, we strongly believe Echelforde deserves a perfect 10 rating.

I must give praise to all the staff at Echelforde for the excellent care they have always given to mum, but in particular, for the way they have looked after her since she became very ill towards the end of last year. I really believe that without the extra care and kindness towards mum and also to myself, we wouldn't be where we are now with her improving so well.

I have found Echelforde Care Home to be extremely professional and well managed. The staff are all amazing people who are dedicated to caring for the residents and ensuring their dignity at all times. They go above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy. The activities provided are varied and stimulating and it’s also wonderful to see the photos posted regularly on the website, so we can see what everyone's been doing, especially throughout the Covid period.

During the recent difficulties, the pod was erected outside in record time to enable visits, which my mum and I were so very grateful for. I am always informed of any problems however small and I feel my mother is in extremely good hands day and night, which is an enormous relief to me and my family. I could not wish for my mother to be in a better place and I know she is very happy there because she tells me all the time how lucky she is! I would not hesitate to recommend Echelforde to any family.

My Mother has recently become a full-time resident and is settling well. The staff are all excellent and extremely caring and have kept in regular touch with myself if necessary. Everything from my initial enquiry to Mum's move has been handled efficiently and with care and the home offers plenty of activities to stimulate the residents. I would highly recommend this care home.

My mum moved into Echelford Care Home earlier in the new year. It has been heartwarming to see her return to being the vibrant fun-loving person she was as a younger woman. Mum is always dressed immaculately and always speaks very highly of how well she is looked after.
The regular Facebook pictures have helped keep us in touch with Mum, and recently, I have been able to enjoy visits in person. The activities within the home help to keep her stimulated, and she thoroughly all of them.

The team at Echelford have always been very helpful and welcoming to me and have been a pleasure to meet.

Our mother has been in this wonderful care home for well over 10 years. Me and my sister used to visit regularly but now rely on regular updates and the brilliant Facebook page. We do not worry about her as we know she is in extremely good hands and is well looked after by the magnificent staff, quite a few of whom have been there from the very beginning of this journey. There is always something going on and we can't wait until things get back to normal so we can visit again.

My father arrived at Echelforde very upset and confused but all the staff were so welcoming and friendly and they helped him to adjust and he then quickly settled into his new home. All staff are extremely supportive to my mother and I and they always take on board any suggestions which may bring a smile to my father's face. They go out of their way to play his favourite music as they know it will make him happy and they encourage him to share memories with them.

Since my mum has been in Echelforde (2 years +) there have been many improvements. The staff have always been very caring and friendly and always willing to help eg arranging for an alternative dinner when neither of the options offered were suitable for Mum. Another example was when Mum's daily paper was no longer being delivered from the shop. They arranged for someone from the activity team to walk Mum to the shop (weather permitting) to buy her won.

Echelforde is a really excellent care home, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, very happy, the staff are wonderful, my mum has improved vastly under their care, the activities are unexpected and stimulating. You can see a great deal of effort has gone into making this home as caring and as comfortable as possible. It gives me total peace of mind to know my mum is safe and well cared for.

I cannot express in words how wonderful and dedicated the staff are at Echelforde. They helped to make the worst time of our lives be more bearable. The staff have also taken my dad under their wing and have helped him and I to adjust to the way our lives have changed with my mum having dementia. My mum sees Echelforde as her home now and says she is happy there :)

I joined Care UK in 2004 and happily moved to the position of Home Manager at Echelforde at the start of 2022.

At our comfortable care home, we love seeing our residents enjoying activities, and crafts, when the weather allows, spending time in our sunny gardens. There is nothing better than helping residents live full, happy, lives.

Echelforde is a beautiful home and we have a wonderful team looking after lovely residents. I look forward to seeing the home continue to succeed.
