Residents can enjoy a range of in house facilities including a cinema room, bar and a hair and beauty salon. The landscaped garden is a popular spot for relaxing in the warmer weather.

In addition to a regular activities programme, which involves quizzes, games, music and outings, the team supports residents to be as independent as possible.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Our mother has been in this wonderful care home for well over 10 years. Me and my sister used to visit regularly but now rely on regular updates and the brilliant Facebook page. We do not worry about her as we know she is in extremely good hands and is well looked after by the magnificent staff, quite
a few of whom have been there from the very beginning of this journey. There is always something going on and we can't wait until things get back to normal so we can visit again.

My father arrived at Echelforde very upset and confused but all the staff were so welcoming and friendly and they helped him to adjust and he then quickly settled into his new home. All staff are extremely supportive to my mother and I and they always take on board any suggestions which may bring a
smile to my father's face. They go out of their way to play his favourite music as they know it will make him happy and they encourage him to share memories with them.

Since my mum has been in Echelforde (2 years +) there have been many improvements. The staff have always been very caring and friendly and always willing to help eg arranging for an alternative dinner when neither of the options offered were suitable for Mum. Another example was when Mum's daily paper
was no longer being delivered from the shop. They arranged for someone from the activity team to walk Mum to the shop (weather permitting) to buy her won.

Echelforde is a really excellent care home, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, very happy, the staff are wonderful, my mum has improved vastly under their care, the activities are unexpected and stimulating. You can see a great deal of effort has gone into making this home as caring and as comfortable
as possible. It gives me total peace of mind to know my mum is safe and well cared for.

Since our mother arrived just over a month ago, we have been very happy with how mum has settled in. All of the staff are always very happy, helpful, caring and sympathetic towards us and mum. The time staff spend with mum and the activities are very good. Mum seems very happy here and settled.

The staff are very caring and patient with everyone and never too busy to help.
An administrator in the office is very good at her job whilst always being approachable.
The activities coordinator is such an asset to the home.
She has a wonderful way with the residents and is always happy.

I cannot express in words how wonderful and dedicated the staff are at Echelforde. They helped to make the worst time of our lives be more bearable. The staff have also taken my dad under their wing and have helped him and I to adjust to the way our lives have changed with my mum having dementia. My
mum sees Echelforde as her home now and says she is happy there :)

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I joined Care UK in 2004 and happily moved to the position of Home Manager at Echelforde at the start of 2022.


At our comfortable care home, we love seeing our residents enjoying activities, and crafts, when the weather allows, spending time in our sunny gardens. There is nothing better than helping residents live full, happy, lives.


Echelforde is a beautiful home and we have a wonderful team looking after lovely residents. I look forward to seeing the home continue to succeed.
