Thank you so much, that's very encouraging to the team.
However,
Thank you so much for your kind review, it is lovely to hear the comments about the home and staff which we have shared with the team. We understand your frustrations about not being able to visit during the pandemic, and I know that many of our staff have also missed seeing the many relatives that we have come to care for as much as we do our residents. As you are aware, we have had to comply with government legislation to ensure that we keep as many people safe as possible. In our experience, Covid 19 can spread very quickly within a care home setting, amongst residents as well as staff, who are then at risk of passing it back to their loved ones too. We have tried to maintain as much communication with relatives so that people are informed and assured that we take the care of our residents very seriously. We have offered window visits where possible, and encouraged relatives to keep in regular touch by phone/Skype or Zoom calls and iPad and Fire tablets, which are made available to residents with the support required to operate them. However, we do realise that these are far from ideal, but are all that can be offered under the circumstances of a national lockdown. We are now ready to receive a consistent visitor for our residents in a safe space within the home when we are out of lockdown and we are also preparing for safe outdoor visiting spaces where we long to see families reunited. Please do make contact with our home manager who will be pleased to provide you with more information.
