Mum has been at Surrey Hills for nearly 3 years now and is very happy/settled there most of the time. She spent time in hospital last year, which was quite distressing for her, but she settled back in the home quite quickly. The staff and management are always kind and treat mum with great dignity and are also very kind and caring towards my concerns about mum and if any problems arise they are very quick to address them.

We recently attended the Barbecue that was held at Surrey Hills on 25th June. It was such an incredibly fun event. Mum was clapping and singing along to the live musician, it was a joy to see. The manager and all staff are to be congratulated on hosting such a fun fundraiser. We actually won three prizes, but re-donated them so that more funds could be raised. The donut wall was inspired (delicious donuts as well). The staff worked really hard to ensure that residents not only ate very well with the tasty food that was on offer, but had a really good time as well. Mum was talking about it for days afterwards. Staff were dancing singing and taking part so that they ensured that this event was enjoyed by families and residents as well. Just a shame that the weather let us down. Looking forward to the next one!

Thank you once again to the manager and her fantastic staff.

My mother moved into Surrey Hills in early May 2019.

Myself and my family can't believe how quickly mum has settled in. We were able to choose the room we felt most suitable for mum. Mum was able to bring along her own furniture and all personal belongings. On the day mum moved in shelves, pictures etc were put up in mum's room to help mum settle quickly. Mum has also had a birthday since arriving and a beautiful cake was made for her. Staff are always approachable and helpful. There is a real 'homely' atmosphere. An activities coordinator has recently been appointed and many future activities and outings are planned. I believe the home wishes to work together with residents and families to ensure consistent well-being is met.

My mother lived with us for two years until ill health saw her admitted to hospital for 9 weeks in November 2018, where she became quite depressed. The change since she has resided at Surrey Hills is amazing. I was so happy to see that her mobility, appetite and outlook completely changed for the better. This is almost entirely due to the wonderful staff, all of which are very helpful, informative of mum's current condition, and very welcoming when we visit.

The environment is more like a domestic home, and a lot of credit has to go to the manager. The manager is extremely caring and genuinely passionate in her dealings with staff and family visitors and especially in her sympathetic handling and care of the residents in her charge. I cannot recommend this residential home enough. A big thank you to the manager and all of her staff.

My mother went into Surrey Hills only 1 week ago, after 9 weeks in hospital where she got very depressed. I was very worried about how she would settle in but I really didn't need to. The staff are all so lovely, kind and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My Mum has said she is happy there and is improving with her mobility, eating and is generally happy. It has been the best move I think.

My Mother came into the home only a few days ago. I came to visit her today and was overwhelmed with the kindness and welcoming staff.

Mum had been in hospital for 9 weeks and the change in her in the short time of her being in your home is amazing. I can't thank you all enough I am sure mum is going to be very happy with you.

My mother moved into Surrey Hills in January 2018 after living in another care home and then a period in psychiatric care due to her Alzheimer's. We are very happy with everything associated with Surrey Hills. The staff are lovely and friendly, are always available for a quick chat and most importantly, mum settled in very well. The home is extremely clean and well decorated, with good facilities. The staff are well geared up to dealing with people with dementia (mum now has advanced dementia and they cope with her very well) and my sister and I are extremely happy with the service and care provided at Surrey Hills.

My husband has been at Surrey Hills since July 2017. He is well looked after and seems to be very fond of all the staff and carers. He enjoys his food and seems fairly content most of the time. Never asks to come home.

Two years ago my Dad came to this home and each time I am more and more impressed. The staff look after the residents so well, that even when I visit they are so respectful to the families. Anything you require they will do for you. They always keep you informed about everything from the family resident to what is going on in the home. But apart from that, I am so happy that my Dad of 91 fits in so well and he is happy.

My Mother in law was in Surrey Hills for three years and the kindness and care was first class constantly. My husband and I never had any concerns about her welfare or treatment, the staff are superb. If only all care homes were like Surrey Hills we wouldn't have any worries about the treatment of our elderly.
The Home is always spotless but most importantly the residents are looked after with respect. Communication was brilliant, always kept informed. The staff are always welcoming and polite.

Sadly my mother in law has now passed, but we know she had the best care, and will always remember the staff with much fondness. Thank you.

Extremely lucky to have my wife resident here. The management and staff are first class, which gives me peace of mind over her care. My wife has been here five years and the care and compassion have been of the highest standard. I just can't thank them enough.

My mum has now been a resident at Surrey Hills for six years and throughout that time we have always been extremely happy with all aspects of the care that she is receiving.
I have full confidence that she is being cared for in a warm and friendly environment and I know that she is very happy there.

I am also very reassured that a member of staff will be in contact if there are any concerns over mum's health or wellbeing.
