Mum has been at Ambleside for the past six months for dementia care. The nurses are always kind, caring and friendly and mum always seems well cared for. As a family, we are always made welcome and offered tea when we go to visit. Homely atmosphere too.
Thank you very much for leaving us a positive review. We really appreciate your comments and feedback. Your mum settled into the home very well and is a wonderful part of the Ambleside family.
I have visited the home on multiple occasions, and it is always very clean, and other residents seem happy.
Thank you, Daniel, for taking the time to do a review. It means a lot to us to hear such positive feedback.
Dad passed away a couple of months ago, and although this is not something that we want to dwell on, we do feel the end-of-life care he received at the home really needs to be noted as it is such an important part of finding the right place for a loved one.
Although we knew the dreaded time was coming, the staff at Ambleside helped us to prepare things and guided us through this very difficult time. Dad passed very peacefully in familiar surroundings with friends and family at his side. We will be forever indebted for all the love and kindness shown to the whole family. Ambleside will always have a place in our hearts.
Thank you D T for taking the time to leave us a review. It means so much to all of us. Your father as well as your family were a real part of our Ambleside family. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
My adopted grandmother has been at Ambleside for two years now. She's so happy and well looked after. Lots of activities, smiles, and love. I love that I get regular updates via social media. I am able to speak to her often and the staff are lovely.
My nana lives at Ambleside Care Home. She has dementia and used to live with me and my family. She came to Ambleside and she is so happy. She has made friends, her room is lovely and she really enjoys the food and activities. When she was in hospital the staff contacted my mum every day to make sure nana was okay. Every time I have been to see nana the staff have always been so lovely and the garden is beautiful which nana and the residents enjoy going out to.
Generally very happy with the care given by the home looking after my mum. The majority of the staff are lovely. Rooms are always clean when visiting and it's good to finally get time with Mum after all the restrictions. Staff are keen to engage with updates.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate the feedback. We strive to ensure the care we provide is always provided to a high standard and that all our staff are lovely. The staff are the ones who create Ambleside's ethos. The manager would like to contact you to ensure that you are always happy with the care provided. Once again we appreciate your review.
My mother has been a resident at Ambleside for fifteen months. The genuine compassion and care from the staff is fantastic. They all do an amazing job, especially with the added pressures of covid. I am always kept informed and welcomed whenever I visit. Mum is settled and has become one of the Ambleside family. Her needs have increased greatly during her stay. These needs have been met with outstanding, quality, experienced care from dedicated staff. I can not thank and praise Ambleside enough for all they do to create a loving home.
Thank you Amanda for taking the time to fill out a review. We really appreciate your comments and it means so much to all of us. We are really glad your mum and your family have joined our Ambleside family.
The staff are polite and friendly. I felt the whole process of a visit was well managed. The only thing that I would comment on is that it is hard to get an appointment to see my relative as there is only one visit per day allowed.
Thank you for your review and comments. They’re greatly appreciated. For visits, we have slots bookable five days a week from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. Residents are allowed multiple visits provided the slots are available. We continue to operate the home ensuring all of our residents are kept safe. We are also exploring options to have visits in the garden now that the weather has improved.
My husband was a resident for almost 5 years and I can say that they truly are a family-themed home and residents are allowed to live their lives to the best they can with the freedom and choices that are possible to them. They are all friendly and respectful and the communication through the home is also on top of things. It is clean and the clients are well cared for and stimulated constantly with things to do however small. I will always be grateful for the care they gave my husband and to have allowed him to live the rest of his life with more ease and comfort than he could manage in the community.
Thank you for your kind words, Linda. The staff greatly appreciate reading them. Your husband is missed by all of us, as he was an integral part of the Ambleside family.
Absolutely beautiful home. The staff are incredible and the residents are very loved. Lots of activities on offer also. My grandmother is very happy at Ambleside. She has made many friends with the other residents which is a huge blessing.
The home is small but full of love. The staff have been incredible with my grandmother throughout the pandemic. It's so nice to see all the activities that have been shared on Facebook recently so that I have been able to see how well my grandmother has settled in.
Mum is cared for just like being in her own home. Hair and feet appointments. Assorted activities are done, all personal care undertaken. Safe environment. Encouraged to join in, has her own TV in her room.
The home has improved their activities which encourages the residents to join in and it's nice to see happy faces. It's good to see more going on and receive more photos through social media, a big help for all the families involved, a big improvement.
It brings so much comfort seeing my grandad so happy and well cared for. He loves where he is and he is relaxed and content. The staff go above and beyond and I’m so thankful for them and the care they provide.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. It is very much appreciated by all of us at Ambleside.
The staff are beyond amazing, they are kind, caring, and patient with everyone. My grandfather is happy, well looked after, and content. There is nowhere else I would be happy for my grandfather to be.
Thank you very much for your positive review. It is very much appreciated by all of us at Ambleside.
Absolutely fantastic care service, professional and very caring. The staff are always friendly and cheerful. I particularly like the fact they keep you updated on how everything is going and encourage you to ask any questions so that everything is clear to understand, it's all very reassuring and professional. Would highly recommend.
My mum was looked after extremely well by the lovely staff at Ambleside Residential Care Home. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always welcoming to me and other visitors. They were quick to respond to any problems that my mum had and I couldn't praise them highly enough. I would thoroughly recommend Ambleside Residential Care Home.
Thank you very much for your kind review. The staff really appreciate it.
I cannot recommend this care home highly enough. They look after my grandad so well and the staff are all so kind and caring. They always make me and my family feel very welcome and always offer tea and coffee. The place is very clean and has a lovely, homely atmosphere. I think the staff make the place special, they are very caring towards all of the residents and are so patient. There are always activities and events for the residents too, grandad especially loves the music lessons, plus a movie room for them to watch films. Having a relative in care can be such a distressing time, but I honestly feel so reassured knowing he is in such a lovely place, and that he is happy, safe, and enjoying his time there-he adores the food too!!
For more than a year my husband, who suffers from vascular dementia, has enjoyed excellent daycare and now attends three days a week. This is an essential lifeline, enabling me to care for my 102-year-old aunt and giving me time for appointments and much-needed respite. The care provided by all the team is outstanding. Not only do they provide a variety of activities but also a safe and cheerful environment, taking a genuine interest in my husband's welfare and happiness. All the staff deserve the highest pf praise and the warmest of thanks/
Staff friendly and attentive, always available. Staff always seem to be involved with residents in the lounge. Always offered a tea/coffee whilst visiting.
