Find Carer's to be good and friendly, I do think that dad's medical needs require looking at, as he seems to always have a U.T.I or something. Also feel all residents need more interaction and motivation

Prideaux House was recommended to me by one of Mum's carers who used to work here. We first used it for respite care in 2024 and I knew then that this was where I wanted Mum to live when the time was right. In 2025 Mum came for day care and moved in during the Autumn. It's small which is perfect for Mum who has advanced dementia. There's a good ratio of carers to residents and they're all lovely. The Seniors are lovely too but very responsible and keep me updated as needed. And they listen. The catering staff are also visible and willingly discuss diet. It's a beautiful home too with some nice touches to make it homely. There's a beautiful garden outside which is accessible to residents. Mum is always clean and well presented and staff are generally responsive. The big change in Mum is that she always seems settled and contented here. That was never the situation at home. Sadly the home currently lacks a permanent manager but performs well regardless.

Friendly, caring and patient staff who take the time to make sure residents are ok and to get to know the residents and their visitors. Residents are kept clean and comfortable, with regular offering of drinks and food. A pleasant and calm atmosphere is maintained in the lounge despite the behavioural impacts of dementia on some of the residents. Also good to see that activities are planned for pretty much every day. We are very pleased with the care provided.
Thank you for your kind review. We are glad you feel the residents are well looked after. We are always wanting to improve our service and will continue to always put the residents well-being first

When ever I arrive I'm always greeted well and explained how my mums day is going, mood/eating/drinking etc.
I always find the staff members approachable.
We have always been kept updated with issues within the home and since Denise has been in charge she always explains what she needs and is doing for the home. Every time I go to visit she seems to be there and have seen improvements.
My mum always seems to be cared for well and treated with the utmost respect and we are happy for her to be there.
All the residents need a lot of care and as far as I see this is always given.
Ricky thank you for your kind review. I am glad you can see improvements within the home and feel communications are getting better. It is a pleasure looking after your mum. We thank you and your family for the continuing support you have given the home.

My mum has been at Prideaux House since 2019. During this time, although she has deteriorated in health due to her condition, she has been very well cared for and early on, when she first went there, thanked me for finding her such a nice place. The staff are very dedicated, they treat the residents as though they were their own relatives. The manager is also very approachable and helpful. My family and I are very satisfied with and grateful for the quality of care provided by the home.

I have been doing care work for most of my working life. I love working with the elderly and find it a very rewarding job.

I have worked within the care industry for many years. I am always smiling and believe that happiness goes a long way, especially when working with people with dementia.

I have worked within the care sector for many years. I have a great working relationship with all of the residents. I enjoy getting to know them as individuals.

I have worked at Prideaux House for over 15 years. I know the home and my residents very well.

I am very passionate about person-centred care and really enjoy my job.

I have worked with the Prideaux Group for around 6 years starting in Prideaux Manor and next I was transferred to Prideaux House.
