Dad has had fabulous care from day one the home is spotless and dad always says the food is lovely. They do lots of activities which Dad enjoys and also loves joking with the staff. We really didn’t want to put dad In a home but had no choice in the end and we are all so happy with the care and support he gets every day. A big thank you from all of us for making dad happy and settled.
Thank you for your very kind review. It's a pleasure looking after your dad. I will also pass your thanks onto the staff.

Having to make the hard decision of moving dad to a care home was not easy but mum could not cope and dad needed more care than we could give him. But we could not have hoped for a home so well run where all the staff do a fantastic job of keeping dad well cared for. With mums recent passing and Covid 19 issues, it has been a difficult time, but the staff have stepped up and done a really great job of keeping dad entertained and cared for, it’s been difficult not seeing dad but we can follow up in Facebook page which is great.

My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a few years ago and eventually, my dad could not manage to look after her at home so for the past year has been in Prideaux. The staff are absolutely amazing, so caring and attentive to all the residents. I myself am a nurse and would give each and every one of the staff a job on my wards. The managers are always available for a chat or to answer any questions relatives have. During the Covid pandemic, they have gone over and above their roles. They are truly the best carers I have ever had the privilege to meet. I thank the day my mum moved into Prideaux House. She is so happy and well looked after all thanks to this amazing care home. This home is second to none. Thank you all so much.

The personal care my mum receives is A star, clean clothes always, haircuts, nails trimmed, everything you would want for your mum being looked after. I cannot praise all the staff enough for making my mums quality of life fabulous.

Our mum was admitted in March after dad could no longer provide the care and attention she needed. She had Dementia and breast cancer and was rapidly declining. I took her in and was very apprehensive, but immediately felt relaxed as the welcome was so warm and welcome. Over mum's last 6 weeks, our family were welcome any time day or night and I spent a few late nights sitting with her, always with tea and biscuits being offered. I have no words for the care and attention and respect they showed mum right up to the moment she passed away. A massive thank you to each and every one of you.

My mum spent her final 6 weeks of life at Prideaux House. When she went in she was declining fast but we hadn't realised how short her stay would end up being. The care was shown from the day she was assessed at home through until her final hours was exceptional in every respect. Her dementia had left her unable to do a lot of things for herself, and the professional care she received was at all times dignified and compassionate. As she neared the end the staff were incredibly supportive to us as a family. We could visit around the clock, I arrived one day at 6.30am unable to sleep, and was welcomed in and made a cup of tea to drink as I sat by her bedside. When she finally passed away, my dad was at her bedside with a member of staff and he was comforted until family arrived. Then the staff discreetly left to allow us to grieve. They cared for us almost as much as they cared for mum and we cannot thank them enough for what they did for her during her final weeks.
Thank you for your kind words. We try very hard to make everybody feel welcome and we are pleased that you felt this way.
Thoughtful interaction and detailed knowledge of each resident enhance their life experience. Really well done.

The rooms for the residents are pleasingly decorated, and again light and bright, each room beautifully wallpapered and nicely colour-co-ordinated soft furnishings. The Chef's food is tasty and always two-course meals. Plenty of homemade cake and coffee/tea served during the day to residents and visitors alike. The staff are always warm and welcoming to all that enter the Home, and are fully attentive to their Charges. The activities for the residents are varied and always something going on for them. My siblings and I are more than happy to have my mother as a resident there, knowing that she is well fed, medicated, hydrated and well looked after. A big thank you to all the staff concerned. You are doing a grand job!
Thank you for your wonderful review, I am glad that you are happy with our service and your mum has settled well.
The staff are always attentive and polite. Generally, a nice place for mother-in-law to be especially as we feel the quality of care is leaving us no doubts whatsoever.

My dad was recently a resident at Prideaux House. Dad sadly passed away on 24th October and we, his family are currently arranging his funeral. However, I wanted to put online of the care and dedication of the whole staff team, who looked after Dad for the past six months of his life; we as a family will be eternally grateful for all that they did. Dad was treated with the utmost respect. He was so well cared for, we could not have asked or wanted more. Dad was so very happy at Prideaux House and this, in turn comforted his family knowing this. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Prideaux House to friends or strangers if they were looking for a care home for their loved one. My eternal and heartfelt thanks to the manager and to all her hardworking, loyal staff. Thank you each and everyone.
We are very sorry for your loss he was a wonderful man, we will miss him tremendously.
My grandad has lived at Prideaux House since March this year. Unfortunately, his health has deteriorated recently and he isn't as mobile as he used to be. We had recently brought a puppy and wanted him to see him especially as he is such an animal lover. So we rang the home spoke to a senior member...
All I can say is that we were made so welcome and we will be back very soon, with a stack of puppy treats.
Thank you again Prideaux.
Thank you for your wonderful comments.
My Dad has lived at Prideaux House since March 2018. I cannot thank the staff for the love, care and utter respect they gave to my dad. Sadly my dad passed away on the 24th October 2018. The staff were all with my dad at his time of passing. It was very sudden and not expected but we as a family...
You always read how bad care homes are, not this one.
Believe me the whole staff at Prideaux are amazing. They treat all the residents with the love and courteousness that we all want our loved ones to have.
If I had to choose or recommend a home to anyone it would be this one.
So from the bottom of our hearts and with so much thanks THANK YOU PRIDEAUX for making my dads last months so happy and for the excellent care you gave to him.

After my mother's last hospital stay I really thought she would have to go into nursing care, but with the amazing support and determination from the manager and her dedicated staff, she is now walking again and seems to be completely at home and content with life. The constant activities and interaction is also a huge help with stimulation and encouragement, which is essential. I am so happy and more importantly, my mother is really happy at Prideaux. Thanks to the manager for the excellent service you provide. I am so pleased we found you.
Thank you for your wonderful comments, it also down to the determination of your mum and the dedication of my wonderful team of staff. Your mum was given a certificate of achievement for all her hard work.
Staff are always friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile.

Upon one of my visits to see my father in law, we took along our pet German Shepherd dog. He is still very young and bouncy but it was lovely to be able to take him into the home to see Dad and to sit with him in the garden whilst we had a cup of tea and cake. It really is just like visiting my...
Nothing is too much trouble, a very pleasant afternoon spent.
Thank you Prideaux House.
Thank you for your wonderful comments, its great to see pets in the building as all our residents enjoy the pet pals sessions that we have monthly.

It was a challenge for my mother to accept it was time for her to go into a care home for her own safety and wellbeing, but everyone at Prideaux made this transition very easy and it is definitely the best thing we could have done for her. She has settled in well, regards Prideaux as her home now and has received plenty of social stimulation from interaction with the staff and other residents, together with the busy programme of activities both inside and outside the home and some major events held there this summer in aid of various charities. The indefatigable and very capable new manageress and her team, who we had the pleasure of meeting individually at a Family Evening, create a warm, friendly atmosphere, are motivated and very kind to the residents and their guests! Moreover, their extra dedication and commitment to my mother during her recent health problems has been touching and commendable. I am so glad I can rest assured that she is and will be safe and well cared for.
Thank you, Susan, this is a wonderful review I will pass on your kind words to all the staff, it is a pleasure to look after your mum. We have a wonderful team here who always go that extra mile to ensure excellent service to our residents and their families.
