Bramble Cottage is a private, family owned, luxury residential care home which has built up a longstanding reputation in the local community and been under current ownership for over 25 years. They have a dedicated and loyal team of skilled carers fully-resourced to carrying out person-centred care for up to twenty-eight people, as well as chefs, kitchen assistants, housekeepers and other ancillary staff.

The home is easily accessible from the M23 with links to Brighton and London whilst being situated within a quiet residential area in Patcham, all making for a relaxing retirement location. Local transport is on the doorstep with buses into town or taxis as required. They offer 24-hour, individually tailored care and support and promote independence of choice and lifestyle.

A spacious lounge makes for a great social atmosphere and carers are welcoming to family and visiting loved ones. All bedrooms are en-suite and downstairs rooms have French doors opening out onto well-kept gardens whilst many first floor rooms have a balcony overlooking the gardens.

My father moved to Bramble Cottage in October 2021 and settled in quickly with the care and support of the staff. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful and whenever I have asked for something, either in regard to my Dad's care or to help me understand how things work at Bramble Cottage, they have,
in an excellent timely manner, answered my questions, given me the information I asked for or tweaked his care. I am very happy with the care given to my dad and the facilities at Bramble Cottage and would recommend them if you are looking for a residential home for your loved one.

My husband was looked after in his final weeks in this superb home he loved every one of the caring staff. He enjoyed the lovely food and was comfortable in this home from home. I'm really grateful for the wonderful care he received, from all the kind, caring staff.

My mother has been made to feel very safe and welcome at Bramble Cottage. The staff have also been very kind to me through a difficult time of not being able to see our loved ones. The manager has responded to my concerns in a timely manner. I feel my mum is the best place she can be and just hope she
can stay in Bramble when her funds deplete.

I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
The last few months must have been very challenging for them but I always felt well supported to speak to/see Mum whenever possible.
The managers have always been readily available to answer my questions/concerns.
They too have always been friendly
and helpful.
The beautiful garden has been lovely to sit in for my visits.
Mum has been assisted out into the garden whenever the weather allows. This is an essential contribution to her well being.
I hear from Mum that the food is always delicious with a good choice and the chef is friendly.
Mum also says she enjoys the activities and the pre meal drinks. For her the sense of being sociable and the coming together as a community is important and something she misses when she is in her bedroom.
The move to another town and into a Rest Home has and still is proving to be very challenging for Mum. However I believe the staff have done what they can to ease this transition.

My mother has been a happy resident for just over a year. She is extremely well looked after though allowing her a degree of independence. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure the smooth functioning of the home but also generate a sense of homely community. Mother tells me the
food is fresh and varied and wine helps to add jollity. There are activities which bring people together but these are voluntary. All in all this is a well run home providing a caring environment and I am grateful for all they do for my mother. Thank you.

My Mother-in-Law was extremely happy to be returning to Bramble Cottage for Respite Care originally for a month. For her, the ambience of Bramble Cottage provided by the staff was most important. The quality of the food and entertainments, the comfort of the ensuite rooms overlooking the beautiful gardens
with the birds and other wildlife meant a lot to her.
A difficult time compounded by the Coronavirus. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Their loving care and attention meant that she received their professional attention from outside services when most needed, treating her with understanding, respect and compassion in the last few months of her life. Due to the restrictions of the Lockdown, it was not possible to visit but as restrictions lifted we were able to talk to her via the phone through her closed patio windows of her ground floor room which meant a lot to all of us.
She had first-class attention, which she deserved, from all the staff and was extremely happy there

The staff are very caring and attentive. Lovely setting. Clean and well kept. Mum enjoys the food. Bramble Cottage has done very well during Covid and we look forward to visiting without masks and appointments.

My Uncle moved to Bramble Cottage three years ago after his previous home closed. He was immediately at home there and had a light and large room and bathroom. He enjoyed a wide range of activities including art, quizzes and poetry (including declaiming his own aloud to the other residents).
The
staff at Bramble were all extremely kind, and when in his last months he became less active their care was exemplary. His family were especially impressed by their care for him in his last days.

I visited several homes for my mum but settled on Bramble Cottage as they appeared to have the most caring people and best atmosphere. Mum has been there 16 months and is very happy with everything there despite the Covid restrictions. The food and care are both excellent as is the communication between
their management and me. The staff are nothing short of superb and nothing is too much trouble. If Mum is happy so am I. Highly recommended.

After almost one year at this care home, I find it extremely difficult to find fault with the staff, accommodation, food and the environment. Even the squirrels, pigeons and doves do their best to be friendly and happy.

I'm so glad I found Bramble Cottage for dad, he is so happy there. He loves being able to watch the wildlife on his balcony and the staff are all so friendly and caring. It's been particularly important to know he is in good hands during the Covid crisis and they have come through beautifully to date.
I can't recommend it highly enough.

Cannot recommend highly enough. The home is welcoming and staff can't do enough to help - they are wonderful. Food good, activities appropriate and jolly. We made a great choice here and feel very lucky mum is so well loved and looked after. Thank you Bramble Cottage.

What stood out about Bramble Cottage was the commitment of the management and staff to the care of the residents. Most of the management and staff are long-term, and this feels most important to me and my parents. They have coped really well during the lockdown, and their strict Covid rules have been
reassuring and effective. I know the first names of many of my parent's carers, and I do not hesitate to recommend Bramble Cottage most strongly.

Bramble Cottage staff provided a caring, kind environment to our mother during her final month of life. They ensured that she was comfortable, and well looked after as possible. Where necessary enlisting the help of community nurses to support them during this very difficult period. I feel confident
that although I was unable to visit her during the final month of her life that she was given all the care and kindness she needed to ensure that she was in peace and without pain at the end of her life.
During her 4 years at Bramble, she was happy in her room and loved many of the staff. She enjoyed the food and felt that she was listened to and respected. The staff were always patient with her, however demanding she might have been.

I used the home for a week following hospitalisation for a left leg severed quad tendon before returning home.
I was most impressed with the care and it was an excellent decision to use their particular home for respite.

I cannot praise the care my Father received at Bramble Cottage highly enough. He was not only afforded the physical care and respect for his dignity that you would expect from any residential care home but he was shown love in all the little and big kindnesses shown to him by the staff during his last
year of life. His health was very poor when Dad moved in but with the staff's constant support in ensuring he took his medication correctly and with the wonderful 3 meals a day he received his health improved to the best it had been in quite a few years. Dad was very happy at Bramble Cottage, he enjoyed many social events throughout the year, outings and the weekly quiz. My family and I owe a massive debt of thanks to everyone who cared for Dad.
