The staff are so friendly, so caring. I am so very impressed with the level of care and also the dedication of the staff. There is a lovely warm atmosphere and all the residents are always happy. The care home is always very clean. The staff are well presented. Well done to everyone.

Like a breath of fresh air. We were greeted by a highly motivated, and most obviously friendly establishment. We arrived to witness some of the daily activities and watched with interest how the residents took part. This was no fluke as we attended a second day another activity was underway and a high
number of residents taking part.


It became very clear the welfare of the residents was paramount to the team of highly enthusiastic staff headed by a very talented keen manager and assistant manager. The accommodation is just what "one" would expect for oneself, let alone relatives, then coupled with a "fair" fee structure, not overly excessive. With so many activities and due care being maintained, a good number of staff on hand to attend to all the residents, this care home is very highly recommended. Since Dad is now at Clapham Lodge he tells us the staff are first rate, the food excellent, the rooms warm and comfortable.

My wife has gained weight and become more "placid". She is trusting of her carers.
I am delighted that weight has lifted from my shoulders - I am now too old to be an adequate carer.

A very 'homely' feel. The staff at Clapham Lodge are truly dedicated and the support given to our family following the recent death of a resident was exceptional. The Lodge always looks clean and tidy.

My mother has settled in to life at Clapham Lodge very well - being a dementia sufferer this wasn’t easy for her, but the staff are so friendly and caring that they have made her feel at home. Mum needed company and activities to keep her busy and she is always included even if her condition makes it
difficult for her to fully participate. I looked at many care homes before choosing Clapham Lodge and I definitely made the right decision.

I have found my mother's care home to be ideal for her. Her room is in the front of the house and she is therefore able to look out of her window and see horses in the field and all the comings and goings on a daily basis. When she was in her own home, that was also on the main street in the centre
of a village, which meant my mother was able to see all the activity in the village. The quality of the care is second to none and the care staff are and have been, over the last four years been like a new family for our mother as we all, her three children live many miles away and visiting is not often or regular.


I would like to thank my mother's care home for all the love and tender professional care they have given and continue to give our Mother.

Our family cannot be more grateful to the wonderful staff at Clapham Lodge where my 93-year-old Aunt stayed from July 2016. The care she received until her recent passing was beyond our expectations. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the entertainment offered to those who wished to participate varied
and interesting and most importantly the food is nicely presented, tasty and freshly prepared. We were unsure how my Aunt would settle into a care home but within days you could see her general health improving and she so enjoyed the lovely way her hair was cut and washed and her nails manicured. Little things which do make a difference to the quality of life. Thank you, Clapham Lodge for everything. Your care made such a difference to our Aunt as well as to our family.

Seldom do you get the combination of first class accommodation, excellent food and fantastic staff coming together in running a care home but this is exactly what you get with Clapham Lodge Care Home. My mother has been a resident for just short of 2 years and I have never had cause to complain in that
time but frequently I praise the staff for their care and dedication. First class.

A lovely building set in the peaceful surrounding countryside. Clapham Lodge feels like home from home with comfortable rooms, a pleasant garden and terrace and large but cosy lounge. The food is very appetising and there is always a good choice with variety. The staff are kind, considerate and caring
- nothing is too much trouble. A huge variety of activities and entertainment is offered to all residents. Such a warm, friendly atmosphere - one happy family feeling with excellent care and support for both residents and family/friends. First class.

My father was at Clapham Lodge for the last five months of his life. He had a lovely, bright room on the ground floor, excellent food and care. No one wants to leave their own home and to go into a care home, and my father certainly longed to return home, but such was his condition that this was no
longer possible and that being so I do not believe that my mother and I could have found a better home for him than Clapham Lodge. The management team and their team of carers and everyone did a first-class, highly caring job in looking after him. If anyone is considering a care home, take a trip out to Clapham Lodge where, in my experience, care, safety, and compassion are always uppermost. My mother and I will always be grateful to all the staff there for all they have done.

Excellent care provided to both parents during their stay, the longest being my father for 2 years and 10 months. Kindness, love and respect shown to him and my family by all the staff who I regard as friends. A wonderful homely feel to the home, good decor and excellent food.
Hygiene very good and
lovely room where my father felt totally at home. Staff always welcoming to me and my family, and friends and relatives who visited commented particularly about the comfort and attentiveness of staff.

Nothing special to add to the information listed. Clapham Lodge managed to achieve more with TLC during my husbands first 2 weeks there (getting him walking and eating well) then the hospital/rehab unit had failed to do in 6 weeks. My only concern is the unusual heating arrangements in his room. An
electric fan heater situated high on the wall over his bed. A member of staff has to switch it on/off as needed by climbing up on the bed to reach it. Not ideal but probably not relevant to this review and maybe there is a good reason for the arrangements.

My mother has been living at Clapham Lodge happily for the past 3 years. She is very well looked after by caring members of staff who have made her feel part of a family. Her practical needs are well met including taking her to necessary medical appointments.
