Our mum required 24 hour care and we wanted to be sure that she would be well looked after and so we researched various care homes. As soon as we visited Greensleeves we knew it was the best place for her. We were right. The staff are so caring and really got to know her well. We visited at various time and were always made welcome. Mum loved the freshly made cakes and she enjoyed the live music and entertainment that the home had. We were fully informed of any health issues or any other concerns. The home have close contacts with the local doctors surgery so mum received regular check ups. Sadly our mum has now passed but during her final days the staff really showed us such compassion. We will always be grateful to all the staff for this.

Mum moved into Greensleeves in November, and from my initial introduction to the marvellous Zoe and the team, I knew this would be the perfect place for my mum.
Such a warm and friendly environment and the staff demonstrate such dedication and compassion and always willing to go the "extra mile" to ensure all mum's needs are met.
Abby and Gemma the Care Home Managers, are always readily available to answer any questions and provide continued and professional support to both the residents and their own team.
The super caring nursing staff Rebecca, Ellie, Analeise and Tilly keep me informed of any concerns regarding my mum's health or well-being.
Claire does a fantastic job running the events, activities and has a huge amount of energy keeping the residents motivated and entertained.
Thank you to Marcus for the fabulous meals he serves up every day.
I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful care Mum receives at Greensleeves.

A huge thank you to you ALL for going above and beyond!

My mum has been a resident at Greensleeves for the last 5months. I have been really impressed with the care that she has received. It is of a really high standard and mum constantly tells me how safe she feels and how good the staff are. The home itself is really clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. They communicate well and I am always kept up to date with mums progress. I would highly recommend this care home.

My Mum has been a resident for a few months now & the level of care, support & help the team give to my Mum & us as a family has been amazing. They bring excellent activities, entertainment & outings to help the ladies be stimulated & keep engaged with the outside world. The well being team & staff offer great support & reassurance with all aspects of dementia care, missing family members & adapting to life in residential care & meeting all the basic needs. As a family member I am so appreciative for all they do & how they have welcomed us all. Such a lovely home.

It was a very difficult decision to move my mum into a care home, I needed to find the 'perfect' place for her. I'm so pleased I was referred to look at Greensleeves. I cannot fault the care and attention my mum has had since moving there in Nov 2024. I was very emotional and one lady was so kind to me. I shall miss her as part of the team. The remaining team are excellent, keeping me informed of mums care. Thank you.

Exceptional care home.
Cleanliness 5-star.
Care of residence 5-star.
Good hygiene 5-star.

Every member of staff takes care of each member of their every need, nothing is too much. They even have an entertainment team which has many many shows, singers, pantomimes and even the zoo visits the home with very many different animals. They have a chef and yes the food is great too.

My mother has had vascular dementia since 2019. In October 2023, she moved into Greensleeves Care Home. Although she has only been in their care for less than one year, I have been very impressed by the high standard of care provided to my mother. The staff are all friendly and helpful and I know Mum enjoyed the activities in the earlier part of her stay. Her dementia got worse in the last month but the staff provided care and support until her death.

Best decision we made bringing Mum to Greensleeves. It was a long tough decision but we have watched Mum grow in health and happiness.
The care, activities, mental health, staff, food, management and communication has been top draw.
Anyone reading this review before making a decision to have a relative come to Greensleeves, do it with confidence that they will be cared for to the highest possible.

Although Mum's dementia is declining her health and wellbeing are as high as we could hope for.

My mother was a Resident at Greensleeves for over 4 years until dementia took her life recently. During her stay at Greensleeves, I observed excellent care and very caring staff. The numerous activities organised by staff are fun and have included flower arranging, colouring, live music, bingo (I often joined in during visits), musical shows and visits from animals that can be petted. There are many smiling faces around the home, both, the residents and the staff that care for them. Where minor problems have arisen the home has engaged with the family and resolved the problem immediately (i.e. care plan amendments following illness requiring hospital treatment). All staff are friendly and approachable and I cannot thank them enough for what they did for my mum. I know her death was taken hard by many in the home. Many photographs showing activities are posted on the social media page (with permission of Residents/Family).

During the past ten years, I have visited many care homes with and for friends and relatives, but Greensleeves really is the best. With a very happy, family feel and excellent, caring staff. I have lunch three times a week. Having cared for my sister for years I was very upset of her having to go into care, but after seeing her so safe and happy and well cared for I have no worries and cannot express in words how much I enjoy my visits. Amazing.

Mum has been a care home resident since February 2023. The staff are exceptional; helping myself, my family (and Mum) through this challenging adjustment. She is happy, healthy and looks on the staff as friends. And the chef is brilliant; very friendly and the food quality and variety is exceptional. The planned activities and entertainment is amazing and the dining room is themed on a regular basis stimulating the residents. Mum couldn't be in a better caring environment.

I could not be happier with the care, love, and respect that is shown to my mum since she became a resident at Greensleeves Care Home. As soon as you walk into the home you can tell it is a happy environment. I am so impressed with the engagement between the staff and my mum. You can tell they are genuinely interested in her well-being and welfare. The food is first class, freshly cooked, and offered with two choices. The entertainment is fabulous and you are encouraged to come along to make new and happy memories with your loved one. Mum is settled, safe and happy, that is all I could ask for from a nursing home. Thank you!

Greensleeves Care Home is such a happy place. When the front doors open you are always greeted with a smiling face and as you go through the staff always say hello. The way the residents and my mother are cared for is so nice to see. Mum is enjoying the entertainment she needs a bit of persuading but with the patience of the staff, she does enjoy it as the photos that go online prove she's having a good time.

We are just happy to know she is safe and well cared for, thank you.

Mary Johnston
Mary JohnstonJob Title:Care ManagerJoined: 2022

Hello, my name is Mary and I have been in the care sector since 1984. I worked in various sectors such as mental health, learning disability, elderly, acquired brain injury and neurological disorders. I joined Greensleeves in May 2022 and I am now the Registered Manager of the home.

What sets Greensleeves apart for me is that it is not just a care home, it is a home from home where our ladies are enabled to live the lives they choose. At Greensleeves, we do not just focus on the ladies’ physical needs but also their well-being needs and this is paramount to us, this means we enable and support them to be independent and we support them to pursue occupational tasks, interests and hobbies as well as supporting them to develop new ones. We also nurture and support the ladies to develop real friendships with their peers. Coming to a care home should be about continuing on life’s journey where you maintain your independence and continue to feel enriched and fulfilled. What it should not be is being unable to do the things one liked to do prior to admission, but supported to carry on doing all the things one liked to do in the past and present. We pride ourselves in ensuring all our ladies have the most person-centred care plan and this starts the moment they make the decision to come and stay at Greensleeves. We involve not only the ladies themselves in this process but also their loved ones so we can reflect all their needs, wishes and aspirations in their care plan. We very much value our staff and want to hear what they have to say, they are critical to the effective running of the home and make a formidable team. I am very proud of all of our achievements and we as a team look forward to keeping up the high standards. I will ensure I continue to drive improvements forward so we not only strive for the best but also deliver only the best.

Gemma Chant
Gemma ChantJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2008

I joined Greensleeves over 13 years ago and l started my career as a care assistant with the drive and dedication of management, my team and my passion for care, my career has grown and l am now a deputy manager.

I am committed to ensuring our vision is achieved by giving each resident outstanding person-centred care and ensuring that all residents are given the highest quality of care.

Our residents are involved in every step of their day and any improvements or changes we look to bring into the home to ensure they are involved in every aspect of their lives.

I strive to be supportive and to develop my teams to ensure our vision is achieved and each staff member feels part of the Greensleeves family, trying to ensure that their ideas, concerns and points of view are always heard and acted upon to be able to achieve a team of people fully involved their workplace.

While we have achieved and introduced many new ways of working and ideas, one of my most proudest achievements is the development of my leadership skills and being able to support the team to be one and happy when they are working at Greensleeves.

Abigail Farrar
Abigail FarrarJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2017

I joined the Greensleeves family almost 8 years ago as a carer and since then I have been promoted to deputy manager to support our residents and staff in living the highest quality of life that we can offer.

I love coming to Greensleeves and being able to see our residents living life to their fullest, being able to support them in carrying out activities and hobbies that they wish to do consoling residents and giving one-to-one if they are not having their best day.

I firmly believe that my purpose at Greensleeves is to support our residents in living their best lives and to have as much fun as possible, ensuring that they are involved in every aspect of their lives.

A lot of my day revolves around supporting the team to be able to give their best to the residents, carrying out quality audits focusing on the resident's happiness and fulfilment at home and developing new ideas and ways of working.

So far, one of the greatest achievements I have put in place at Greensleeves is Namaste care, which has been a real success for those who live with advanced dementia, offering them an activity that is almost one-to-one and attuned to supporting them in feeling relaxed and calm through massages, sensory activities, their favourite food and drink and supporting them in feeling comforted and relaxed.

Marcos Oliveira
Marcos OliveiraJob Title:Head ChefJoined: 2019

My name is Marcos Oliveira, and I am from Brazil. I am 43 years old. I began working at Greensleeves in June 2019 with a very basic level of English. I am grateful to James and Declan for giving me the opportunity to start as a kitchen assistant. I quickly developed a passion for working in the kitchen, and within six months, I progressed to cooking.

What I truly enjoy about working at Greensleeves is witnessing the happiness and joy of our clients when they receive the service they deserve, delivered with passion and love. Hearing their compliments about well-cooked and beautifully presented food and desserts is incredibly rewarding. It makes us feel proud of the work we do here.
