A regular programme of activities is a key part of Heaton House's success. The home's connection with a local nursery school is a very special one. It allows residents and the young children to strike up a rapport together, sharing in sessions centred on pastimes such as art and music. This regular connection is eagerly anticipated by residents and nursery children alike.
Other activities include crafts, poetry, indoor skittles and regular exercises. Care staff work hard to encourage residents to engage in group sessions as much as possible, helping people to stay active and have a positive focus.
Heaton House staff are clearly well trained and experienced in the health, hygiene and dietary needs of the people in their care.
Thank you for your response, our carers always strive to obtain the highest standards of outstanding care and support at all times, whilst encouraging the people who use our service to achieve their maximum potential and lead a full-filling life.
The love and care my mum receives from the staff at Heaton House is second to none. A real home from home. During the lockdown, they have endeavoured to keep us informed and continue life as normal as possible, vital for dementia residents. We would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a home for their loved ones.
My mother has been a resident of Heaton House for over six years. She has fairly advanced dementia and understands with difficulty without the wonderful care and attention she needs and receives from everyone at Heaton House she would not have any quality of life. She is looked after in such a way that gives me great comfort whenever I visit her, which is on a weekly basis.
An extremely comfortable and welcoming home. My aunt is beautifully cared for. The staff are kind and affectionate towards her and she seems (and says she is) very happy. Her family are kept in touch with any changes in her health and we are updated frequently with any news regarding my aunt or the home.
Thank you very much for your positive review - we are very pleased we are meeting your expectations.
My aunt has been a resident at Heaton House for 5 years now. Right from the start, she felt happy and secure here. She is very well cared for and we are always made welcome when we visit. She enjoys the activities very much. I am very glad that we chose Heaton House.
Entering this home is of excellence! Colourful, clean, sweet smelling, welcoming and kindly. Smiles from staff of all levels. As one of a singing group, on our third visit, every time we come it is the same quality standard. I arrange our 'bookings' and am always welcomed on the phone, clear questions and information each time. Thank you for making it so easy to work with you. My long term friend is resident and looks lovely, beautifully cared for/presented. It is a joy to visit her. I am so happy that she is in such a good home, atmosphere and surroundings.
I am so grateful to all the staff at Heaton House for providing such kind and gentle care for my mother. Thank you.
Our mother has been at Heaton House for six months. Such a relief to find this small, friendly, caring, clean home. With the emphasis on 'home'. There is a family atmosphere. Welcoming staff, have good training and are supportive of each other, the residents and family members. There are regular activities including some with children from a local nursery. Nourishing meals are cooked on site and there is often a lovely smell of freshly baked cakes. Our mother is happy, stimulated, settled and safe. She is treated with dignity as staff meet her needs. I give thanks for their dedication and would recommend Heaton House. p.s., We all enjoy being able to use the well-stocked beach hut.
I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
Heaton House is a fantastic care home. Mum has been a resident since Sept 2016. The manageress and the team do a brilliant job at keeping a friendly, warm and inviting atmosphere. It has a great location with the Beach and Seafront a short walk away, and a busy parade of shops just around the corner to pop into. It is very well presented and feels more like a nice hotel inside. Highly recommended.
Cannot fault any part of Heaton House.
I really like it here, it feels like a safe environment. I like how loving the home is, I get on well with the staff. I enjoy the meal times and feel well fed, I feel like this is a better place for me. I am able to enjoy my independence. I like my bedroom, it's very spacious and I enjoy the entertainment and the company of the staff.
We are very pleased that Daphne feels safe and enjoys staying in her new home. We always promote independence and it is great that Daphne feels that she has retained her independence.
The garden is lovely and my only criticism would be that the staff do not encourage the residents to go out to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine in the garden.
Residents are encouraged to use the garden when weather permits. We have a wide range of garden furniture and outdoor activities for our residents to enjoy. We have a raised flower bed for our avid gardeners to cultivate and enjoy - our local children's nursery visit the home during different...
Heaton House is a lovely place that feels like a proper home the minute you walk in. There is always something going on and every time I have visited I receive a warm welcome, a lovely cup of tea and music and laughter can be heard. I've not had a meal there but the smells from the kitchen are divine too. The staff seem a close-knit team and the owner is always available to answer any questions.

Heaton House is OUTSTANDING with CQC our inspection authority. I am extremely proud of staff and low staff turnover rates and have had many staff working with me for over 10 years. I set great importance on the personal interests and choices of the residents and their relatives. We never forget this is their Home first.
I enjoy regularly networking in and around Worthing and am always looking for more contacts to keep Heaton House at the forefront of peoples minds when care is needed for a loved one or advice for planning future care.

Sue is a highly respected care professional with over 30 years' experience in the industry. She continually works to introduce the latest innovations, thinking and training to her care team and her knowledge is second to none.
