Oakland Grange is situated in a residential area on the borders of Rustington and Littlehampton close to the coast and within walking distance to the beach. Originally a large Edwardian house, the home has been extended to offer spacious facilities. It is set in a south facing mature garden with a sun terrace overlooking the lawns beyond.

Oakland Grange provides a comfortable environment for elderly residents, in a purposely converted building to provide effective residential care.

Residents have the use of comfortable lounges and dining areas where they can choose from a wide variety of home-cooked meals. There are well maintained, large landscaped gardens and patio areas. There is an activity program scheduled throughout every week.

Personal care packages ensure that all individual requirements are met by friendly, trained staff who are available day and night, led by a management team. Staff are enhanced by working in partnership with external professionals such as the local GP practice and Pharmacy.

Staff levels are adjusted to reflect the needs of personalised care for residents which can change over time. Oakland Grange continuously invests in training to support a quality of care in which they can all feel proud and meet the needs and expectations of residents and their families.

My Aunt has lived at Oakland Grange for two and a half happy years. She died last week after a short illness compounded by the COVID 19 situation.
Oakland Grange continuously nursed her with dignity and respect. Discussing the best way forward for my Aunts care with me on a regular basis. Not being
able to visit her did not help me, but I always knew my Aunts care would be second to none.
The manager and her staff are wonderful, full of compassion and care. I would recommend this home to anybody who wants the best care possible for a relative or friend.

This is one of the best residential homes. All of the staff are very caring and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble. There is a very warm and welcoming feel when you enter the home. The home is managed extremely well by the Manager and if there are any problems they are dealt with promptly. The
added "party and special days" are brilliant and much appreciated by residents.

My mother was a resident for 4.5 years. She could not have received better treatment and I feel extremely lucky that I chose Oakland Grange for her care.
On every visit, Mum told me how kind the staff were, nothing was too much trouble. I saw this for myself on many occasions. Oakland Grange is always
spotlessly clean, smart but cosy and welcoming. I ate in the dining room sometimes with Mum and the food was always very good and nourishing.
During Mum's last weeks, she was cared for superbly, with staff checking on her every 30 minutes, dropping to every 15 minutes when necessary. They were also great comfort and support to me at a difficult time.
I really can't praise them highly enough.

My Father (92) stayed at Oakland Grange for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year so that he wasn’t on his own over this period. Oakland Grange is like being in a hotel. He was treated so well and nothing was too much trouble for them. The place was spotless and the food excellent. I visited my
father every day and found him to be happy and commenting on how goods everything was from the staff to the sherry!!!!!. There seemed to be plenty of activities ranging from entertainment (piano and sing along sessions) to physical exercise and hand / eye coordination activities.
I was very impressed with the manager at Oakland grange, it was quite clear to see that she puts her heart and soul into this place and truly cares about her residents and staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending Oakland Grange and feel assured that my Father would be welcome back at any time and I would be happy knowing that he would be enjoying his final years.

As soon as I visited Oakland Grange I knew that this was the right care home for my Mum. Welcoming staff and a lovely building with comfy rooms and an overall 'feel good' factor. Mum moved in for two weeks respite care at first, but on returning home realised that Oakland was where she wanted and needed
to be, so she moved back in full time in June 2018. I cannot praise the staff enough - they were kind, considerate, caring and nothing was ever too much trouble. The manager was always happy to help and provide support, which in the end we needed as Mum sadly began to deteriorate in September and needed more personal care. Activities are provided if you wanted to join in, and occasional visits out. Food was great and plentiful. Sadly Mum passed away at the end of October and the staff were absolutely marvellous, both with Mum but also supportive to me with copious amounts of tea and coffee and food offered during the many hours I spent at the home. Thank you!

A welcoming, spacious and friendly home where my husband had a lovely day recently. We found the staff very supportive and positive; the manager showed a genuine concern for the well-being of her residents, and we very much appreciated her sensitive and helpful approach. An extremely pleasant place

My grandma stayed in this Care home, the staff were amazing, the food was good, my grandma was well looked after, it was clean and the manager was very helpful and always free for a chat. Would highly recommend and will recommend to anyone needing this service.

Kevin Humphrys

Kevin joined Oakland Care Group in February 2022 as Chief Executive Officer, which includes Oakland Grange in Littlehampton and Oakland Court in Felpham, Bognor Regis. He brings 14 years of senior leadership experience in improving the quality of life for older adults. Kevin is a seasoned health and social care executive with a passion for delivering person-centred care, with a focus on professionalising care roles, implementing innovative solutions, and fostering a culture of excellence.


Throughout his career, Kevin has transformed services that serve the elderly across the UK. He has led non-profit and for-profit organisations providing care homes, home care, assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation services. Under Kevin’s direction, these provisions of care have thrived through a person-centred philosophy and innovative solutions.


Kevin works diligently to leverage his experience and perspective to benefit Oakland Care Group’s residents, families, and employees.


As a Director for West Sussex Partners in Care, the local association for care providers, Kevin is committed to advocating for the social care sector.


Kevin is a Fellow of both the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Leadership and Management. He was a Top 10 Finalist of the Social Care Top 30 Leadership Awards in 2023 and a Finalist in the Social Care Top 30 for 2024. Additionally, he was included in the Care Home Professional’s Power List of 2023 and 2024 in the category of Executive Management. He has published articles in Care Talk Magazine and Care Home Professional.

Throughout Kim’s career, she has been immersed in various positions within care and nursing homes, gaining a diverse skill set that has proven invaluable for their current responsibilities. Kim’s passion for maintaining high standards of care within the care home is evident in everything she does. Kim approaches her role with unwavering dedication, ensuring the well-being and happiness of both residents and staff.
