Oakland Grange

My mother has been a resident of Oakland Grange for seven-plus years, all of which have made her very happy. Staff are professional but still retain their warmth and friendship to both residents and visitors. There is a good feeling as soon as you walk in the door of this well decorated and spotlessly clean home. The manager and her team are all to be congratulated on their dedication and good humour during these particularly challenging Covid years, which they have managed with such patience and skill. A really lovely place.

I am just a visitor to see a resident. The staff are always friendly. Most impressed with her room, everything neat and tidy. I will recommend anyone to Oakland Grange Nursing Home.

The first time I had been to Oakland Grange, I was very impressed. The cleanliness of the home, PPE, test straight away - a cup of coffee was made on arrival. I met the manageress and two other members of staff, who were lovely and very friendly - all work very hard and bent over themselves to help. I would recommend your home to everyone; stunning and lovely home. Very impressed.

My mother went into Oakland Grange to recuperate from an operation and then, aged 95, decided she liked it so much she would stay. The staff and services at Oakland Grange are nothing short of superb. My mother was treated with the utmost dignity and respect at all times. It's a care home where everyone really does care. Highly recommended.

Very friendly home, staff are excellent and helpful, always let us know what is happening. Dad loves it here, always smiling and always entertained.

My dad has been at Oakland Grange for 18-months. Everything is absolutely no trouble for the staff regarding my dad, and they look after him so well. He has mobility issues, so he is a challenge, but the staff are always on hand to help him. As his visitor, I am always made to feel so welcome. My dad's room is very spacious, and everyone has their own TV in their rooms, and they all have call buttons. The food is outstanding and of a very high quality. Thanks to everyone.

Oakland Grange care home offers the highest level of care and help that is possible anywhere, in my opinion. The accommodation is of a high standard, and the carers are "gold dust".

I came to Oakland Grange following an operation for a replacement ankle. I did not know what to expect, but I got a very good welcome from all the staff and residents alike, and was a surprise how nice it was. The staff were very polite and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them, which help to make it enjoyable and interested. I have told my two sons that if ever I cannot look after myself, that I will come back here to spend the rest of my days. A big thank you to all. God Bless you all.

I would gladly place my care in their hands if it was ever needed, and I would feel that I would be treated as a human being.

Three of us visited our friend who was on respite care for two weeks. We went for lunch and stayed for the afternoon. The home was lovely, we sat outside and enjoyed a lovely meal, then walk around the grounds. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, and we really enjoyed our visit.

When having to choose somewhere to put a loved one, it will never be easy. When my mother and I visited to view for respite care from the hospital, we were taken around by one lady and she answered all the questions we had, (we had a lot). She was very caring and helpful.

First impressions were that Oakland was warm and friendly, and it just had a lovely feel.

I had issues with the hospital discharging my father at short notice, and Oakland already having an admission and couldn't take another. I was very stressed, however, the manager took over and called the hospital and dealt with it all for me; she took all the worry away at a very stressful time.

All staff and services excellent! He is very happy and pleased to be looked after and enjoys activities. The family is grateful for the care taken with him. All are in Australia. We all have good contact with Oakland, family and carers.

The manager and her staff are wonderful, full of compassion and care. I would recommend this home to anybody who wants the best care possible for a relative or friend.

This is one of the best residential homes. All of the staff are very caring and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble. There is a very warm and welcoming feel when you enter the home. The home is managed extremely well by the Manager and if there are any problems they are dealt with promptly. The added "party and special days" are brilliant and much appreciated by residents.

I was very impressed with the manager at Oakland grange, it was quite clear to see that she puts her heart and soul into this place and truly cares about her residents and staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending Oakland Grange and feel assured that my Father would be welcome back at any time and I would be happy knowing that he would be enjoying his final years.

As soon as I visited Oakland Grange I knew that this was the right care home for my Mum. Welcoming staff and a lovely building with comfy rooms and an overall 'feel good' factor. Mum moved in for two weeks respite care at first, but on returning home realised that Oakland was where she wanted and needed to be, so she moved back in full time in June 2018. I cannot praise the staff enough - they were kind, considerate, caring and nothing was ever too much trouble. The manager was always happy to help and provide support, which in the end we needed as Mum sadly began to deteriorate in September and needed more personal care. Activities are provided if you wanted to join in, and occasional visits out. Food was great and plentiful. Sadly Mum passed away at the end of October and the staff were absolutely marvellous, both with Mum but also supportive to me with copious amounts of tea and coffee and food offered during the many hours I spent at the home. Thank you!

A welcoming, spacious and friendly home where my husband had a lovely day recently. We found the staff very supportive and positive; the manager showed a genuine concern for the well-being of her residents, and we very much appreciated her sensitive and helpful approach. An extremely pleasant place and highly recommended.
