Oakland Grange is situated in a residential area on the borders of Rustington and Littlehampton close to the coast and within walking distance to the beach. Originally a large Edwardian house, the home has been extended to offer spacious facilities. It is set in a south facing mature garden with a sun terrace overlooking the lawns beyond.

Oakland Grange provides a comfortable environment for elderly residents, in a purposely converted building to provide effective residential care.

Residents have the use of comfortable lounges and dining areas where they can choose from a wide variety of home-cooked meals. There are well maintained, large landscaped gardens and patio areas. There is an activity program scheduled throughout every week.

Personal care packages ensure that all individual requirements are met by friendly, trained staff who are available day and night, led by a management team. Staff are enhanced by working in partnership with external professionals such as the local GP practice and Pharmacy.

Staff levels are adjusted to reflect the needs of personalised care for residents which can change over time. Oakland Grange continuously invests in training to support a quality of care in which they can all feel proud and meet the needs and expectations of residents and their families.

My Mother has been a resident since Dec 2022 and celebrated her 100th birthday there in September. The staff excelled themselves and arranged a lovely lunch and celebration. It was a memorable day. She is looked after very well there.

I wasn't impressed by the pillows! The blankets were fine for the mostly mild weather in the 9 days of our stay.
Cleanliness? Whenever I looked in daylight, there was someone dusting, polishing or vacuuming, with a cheerful greeting! The ensuites were winging bright. Food was clearly served and very
tasty. I would have preferred an earlier breakfast, but the night and day staff had complex matters to discuss before they met again in evening? It was refreshing to find none of the dreadful, heated rugs we used to get in hospitals and elsewhere, they treat the frail and elderly. Fresh air and a through draft can be very desirable. I am not complaining! Thank you all very much for having Roy and me.

I spent 3 weeks at Oakland Grange following a fall where I fractured my lower leg and ankle. I was non-weight bearing, and needed assistance with all my personal care. The health care assistants were so patient, kind and caring, nothing was too much trouble, and they were always bright and cheerful.
The night staff were especially most helpful. The daytime activities were always enjoyable. The meals were very good, my husband enjoyed lunch at the weekends. One problem seemed to be that there was only 1 toilet downstairs is that would take my wheelchair and zimmer frame. There was often a queue for this toilet, especially around meal times. I really enjoyed the garden.

My husband has just had his third spell of respite care at Oakland Grange and will be returning again
The things that he finds he enjoys most are the warmth and friendliness of everybody there and the lovely food that the chef serves up every day


He doesn't take advantage of the activities that

are offered, as he prefers to stay quietly reading and watching TV in his room

I went to the summertime party, what a party! The staff looked amazing in 60's these clothes. The singer was great and had everyone joining in, either singing along and dancing, even the residents had 60's things on. The buffet was great, and drinks, and a great raffle. There was a lot of support from
residents' families of all ages. Would I go to another one? Definitely!

My mother in law recently stayed in Oakland Grange for 2 weeks whilst we were on holiday. This was partly for our peace of mind and partly to see whether she liked being in a care home. Well, we practically had to drag her out, she loved it!
The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and
always cheerful. The home is spotless and she tells me the food is lovely (the cakes certainly were when we visited). There are daily activities, which she loved to join in.
We had looked at another home but we are so glad we chose Oakland Grange. Having been widowed 18 months ago it has given her a new lease of life. She is already booked in for another 2 weeks when we are away and we are now working towards her becoming a permanent resident. Thank you to all the staff and we look forward to seeing you again in September

Both of my parents are residents in Oakland Grange., both being there for over 2 years. They have different needs, which are met by the Care Staff and management with professionalism. Recently my Mother was in Hospital for 5 weeks and we were concerned about my Father who has Alzheimer's and clings
to my Mum. We needn't have worried as the Staff were amazing with attention and Care to my Dad, which gave us huge peace of mind while visiting Mum most days. The Staff have also been supportive and helpful to me and continue to be so. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oakland Grange.
Recently we really enjoyed the yearly Summer Party which was a real success due to all the hard work of the Staff.

My mum stayed at Oakland Grange for 2 weeks respite care. Her overall experience was fantastic, the staff went above and beyond and were so kind and caring. The home was cosy, warm and very clean. The weekly entertainment was varied and enjoyable. As a daughter I felt very reassured leaving mum there.

We are just a few weeks into my grandfather's moving into residential care at Oakland Grange. He chose here because he stayed in 2020 for respite care during an illness at the peak of the pandemic. The care was exceptional then. He returned this year and it is still wonderful care. It has a homely feel,

My Grandmother stayed here for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. The staff are exceptional and it is thanks to their hard work and dedication that this is such a wonderful home. The staff are friendly, kind, caring and nothing is too much trouble. I was able to leave my Grandmother there knowing that
she was happy and being well cared for. The cleanliness is outstanding and the quality and choice of food is incredible. My Grandmothers dog was allowed to visit her, which she and other residents enjoyed. It feels like one big family and we were very emotional when it was time for my Grandmother to leave. My stepmum put herself in your lovely care home after she had a fall at home and lost her confidence, she was just getting better when she fell again in her room. I cannot thank you enough for your quickness at getting her to hospital, it turns out she'd had a stroke and the person who found her probably
saved her life. She is still in hospital and we're taking one day at a time. I know she would thank you all for your kindness, good food and the cosiness of the home.

As a visitor and friend of a new resident, I have found that everything seems to be first class (or over and above!). My friend was apprehensive, and unprepared for her change of circumstances. Your staff (and residents!) have overcome her concerns, which was a feat in itself!
My friend is very independent,
proud of her self-sufficiency, but her age was catching up fast, when unplanned circumstances lead to her moving to Oakland Grange. As a friend, I am sure this was the best outcome. Your high standards will be hard to match!

I stayed at Oakland Grange for 2 weeks after my hip operation. The atmosphere was caring, happy and friendly I shall come back to stay when cannot live on my own anymore (I am 85). I've known the home since 1998 when my mother died here, she was so happy here. I've looked after old people and have visited
Oakland Grange many times during the last 24 years. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a loving and peaceful home.

Kevin joined Oakland Care Group in February 2022 as Chief Executive Officer, which includes Oakland Grange in Littlehampton and Oakland Court in Felpham, Bognor Regis. He brings 14 years of senior leadership experience in improving the quality of life for older adults. Kevin is a seasoned health and social care executive with a passion for delivering person-centred care, with a focus on professionalising care roles, implementing innovative solutions, and fostering a culture of excellence.


Throughout his career, Kevin has transformed services that serve the elderly across the UK. He has led non-profit and for-profit organisations providing care homes, home care, assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation services. Under Kevin’s direction, these provisions of care have thrived through a person-centred philosophy and innovative solutions.


Kevin works diligently to leverage his experience and perspective to benefit Oakland Care Group’s residents, families, and employees.


As a Director for West Sussex Partners in Care, the local association for care providers, Kevin is committed to advocating for the social care sector.


Kevin is a Fellow of both the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Leadership and Management.
