The food is very good, always home-cooked meals and if the residents requested anything special the home would always accommodate.
I would highly recommend Pelham House.
Thank you for your review and kind words I will pass on to my team. It was an honour to look after such a wonderful lady.
Never once complaining, the care and attention she received over the years was excellent, especially so towards the end of her life. Everybody works as a team to make sure the residents have a good quality of life.
Thank you for your kind words I will pass on to my team, mum was a huge character at Pelham and will be missed.

The carers here are brilliant, patient and caring. All the staff are so kind and friendly making me and Mum feel welcome and part of the family. The activities are really good and the food is really good. The building and rooms are clean and well looked after, the location is lovely. I was so happy that Mum was able to come here.
Thank you for your kind words, I will pass this on to my team.
My father is now in Pelham House, after a move, my father was unsettled but the team at Pelham House have made every professional effort to settle my father in. I'm very impressed with the care and progress my father is receiving and making. Thank you very much.

Mum has received excellent care since she came to Pelham House. She enjoys the food very much and has put on weight.
Mum came to Pelham House in July 2018 after being diagnosed with severe dementia and being unable to cope at home with home help. She has taken time to settle in and has good and bad days as to be expected. All the staff have been incredibly helpful, very kind and professional in dealing with her illness and the issues she has day to day. The daily activities have been very rewarding to her. One member of staff has been a great help in ensuring she joins in with the other residents and does not feel lonely or isolated, is always there to be on hand and updates me on a regular basis which is reassuring. Mum has always loved her food, the chef is great, looks after all her needs, even double portions when required. Thank you to everyone you are all doing a fantastic job and it is much appreciated by me and my family.
Many thanks for your kind words, I will pass them on to my team.
Visiting my wife 3/4 times weekly she seems to have settled into the home quite quickly. On my recent visits, there has also been some activity to keep the residents entertained, quizzes, music, etc. I have been very pleased with the ambience in the home when I have visited.
Many thanks for your kind words, I will pass them on to my team.
My mother has been a resident of Pelham House for just over two years. Throughout the time I have seen great changes in the facilities available for residents and the care given to them. The management of the home has improved significantly. The home feels like a home that a woman of my mother's age can relate to, rather than new type buildings. Any concerns are dealt with promptly and courteously.
Thank you for your kind words, we will share your review with our team.

Meet the Team (1)

I have worked in health and social care for 30 years and 22 of those are in social care. I am a trained Nurse and have worked in various Hospitals and settings. I have been managing Care Homes for 16 years. I hold NVQ level 4 in leadership and Management for care services.
I am passionate about person-centred care and having good outcomes for our residents. I am always looking for ways in which people living with dementia can be supported to remain as independent as possible and to have purposeful days.
I believe being in care should not mean the end but the beginning of another chapter in life so I promote activities which create meaningful and purposeful days for our residents.
