Overall Experience
My mother has been in Vine House for 13 years and passed away peacefully on 13th February. The care during the passing years has been exceptional. During the last four weeks when my mother's health declined, the care and consideration from the staff was outstanding.
During her time at Vine House, there were ample things to do in the way of entertainment.

In summary, I would thoroughly recommend Vine House to anyone.

My mother was in poor health when she first came to stay at Vine House in January 2015 for respite care. The staff have looked after her so well she has stayed as a permanent residence since then. Her health is so good now thanks to the caring, helpful and thoughtful staff and management. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Mum considers Vine House as her home from home and loves it. I would recommend the care home, Vine House to anyone looking for care for their elderly relatives.

I have found this care home to be excellent. It has really been good for mum. She is really happy there and the staff are happy, friendly and approachable.

The facilities offered are of a high standard and I feel happy in the knowledge my sister is in good safe hands.

What really stands out for us is the most friendly warmth of this home - we find that the staff and management couldn't be kinder or more helpful in the way they look after my father and relate to his family and friends when we visit. We always find them cheerful and upbeat whatever the demands of the day bring. They also keep us well informed about his wellbeing.

We have been pleasantly surprised by the range of activities which the home arranges for the residents which enables them to socialise and stimulates their interests (e.g. games and visits by local organisations looking after owls and ponies).

We have always found his rooms clean and it is well furnished. The rooms seem to be well lit with pleasant views over the garden and the surrounding countryside.

Overall we are delighted by the way they are looking after my father and the most pleasant atmosphere of the home together with its location.

Mother-in-law moved into Vine House in October, when she was unable to look after herself in her flat. She is very happy and we are confident that she is getting the best care possible. The home is small and all the staff are very caring and know mother-in-laws likes and dislikes. She is in the best possible place for her needs.

Overall Experience

My aunt initially came to Vine house for a respite stay but settled in very quickly and is now a permanent resident. The primary impression I have of Vine House is that of a home not a hotel. Everyone is friendly and the staff really care about the residents. My aunt commented that the food is "like a restaurant" and enjoys her food. Her room is very nice but she spends most of her time in the sitting room as she likes the company of the residents and the staff.

As a visitor I am always welcomed and know most of the staff by their first names. The management organise various visits from local schools and the like to interact with the residents and encourage them to partake in the activities.

My aunt resisted our suggestions to enter a home for a long time but now she is very content and I am confident that she is the hands of genuine, professional and caring people who do their utmost to look after her.

Mum's been in here for years now and, as the Manager said, is part of the furniture! At almost 84 she's more on the ball than us, on account of the home cooking and copious cups of tea. She enjoys lively banter with all the staff, especially the Manager who is in-house court jester as well as Manager! They had owls in to visit yesterday and mum loved them and is looking forward to their return visit for the annual August garden party! Vine House is a cosy home from home and we're always sad to leave!
