All the staff and the management team at Vine House have been marvellous during these very difficult months, against all the odds they have kept up and even improved on their very high standards and quality of care to the residents. I cannot recommend it too highly.

Vine House Residential Care Home is an ideal residence for your elderly relative. The home is small and intimate and provides a level of care and service which is of an extremely high standard. All staff are personable and caring and because it is small everyone knows everyone else. The service levels are kept high and all staff are professional in their approach and led by a strong team who lead by example and encourage staff to improve their skills and to relate to the residents on all levels.
The grounds are well kept and residents are encouraged to get out into the garden as much as possible. The home regularly has outside entertainment visit the home to entertain the residents as well as annual garden parties when relatives and friends encouraged to attend. Residents are encouraged to think and treat the home as they would their own home; nothing is ever too much trouble.

In Vine House you could not ask for a better facility for your loved elderly resident to stay.

Vine House is a small, intimate, friendly care home in a converted character house. It has a nice garden surrounding it, in which the residents have the freedom to explore independently in the knowledge that a carer is never far away should they need help. The carers are always happy to talk to you if you have any questions or concerns. They are also very respectful of the elderly residents within, which is lovely to see. They seem to enjoy their work and there is a very low turnover of staff, always a good sign. This is important for my mother in law as she feels more relaxed when she knows the people looking after her and dislikes constant change.

My father has been very well looked after by the whole team at Vine House, including the cleaners and maintenance staff.
Because it is a small home, it feels more like a normal home rather than an institution.

As a family, we have trust and faith in the manager and his team to provide the care he needs. We can see from their actions that my father is not just another old man but someone that they are fond of too which I really appreciate.

When my mother (95) couldn’t cope in her own home any longer, I looked at as many local care homes as possible. When I visited Vine House, I knew immediately that it was the right place for her. It is a small family run home with 13 residents, who are encouraged to treat it as their own home. The caring staff are very personable and are encouraged to make time to sit with the residents and chat, not just care for their day to day needs. All the staff including management care deeply about the residents. There are no set visiting times (though it’s best to avoid meal times) and Mum’s visitors are always made to feel welcome. She has a lovely ensuite room. We had input into the layout of the room so that it would best suit mum’s needs. The communal areas allow space to watch TV and socialise, but also to have private quiet time in the “Annexe” sitting room. Mum particularly appreciates having access to the garden on her own, safe in the knowledge that if she needs help it is there.

Vine House is a small, privately run residential home that has a very homely atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and do their best to meet all the needs that arise.
It is very well run, the door is always open for my visits and my father's needs discussed.

The food is good and I've noticed all dietary needs are met. The place is always clean and there are plenty of activities and events arranged. Lovely gardens.

I became a resident at Vine House Older Persons Residence in December 2017. It's just like staying at a first-class hotel and a very wise choice. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and the food is superb. I am always ready for my food. I really feel that this is my home and I always find myself thinking how lucky I am.

Vine House is simply wonderful. Set in a quiet residential road and surrounded by beautiful gardens, it’s a very tranquil older person residence. Vine House has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are always friendly, helpful and extremely caring towards residents, relatives and visitors. The management ensures an inclusive attitude for all residents and we are constantly surprised and impressed by the number of activities and social get-togethers provided throughout the year. It’s scrupulously clean and fresh with good sized rooms. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a care home with that home from home feel. Vine House, its management and staff are all first class.

From day one my Aunt and family were welcomed into the happy home of Vine House. All the staff are excellent, willing to go that extra mile, making Vine House a warm and homely place to live. The recreational events organised by Vine House are well attended and enjoyed by all. We love the place so much and recommend it, so much so my father is going to put his name down to live there in the future.

My mother entered Vine House when she had advanced dementia and no longer safe to live in her own home. Sadly it soon became evident that she was close to end of life and stopped eating. Mum's stay in Vine House was only for 7 weeks but for that short time, we were so happy that we had chosen this home, as she was so well cared for. The staff couldn't have done more for her as we all tried to encourage mum to eat. The food always looked and smelt delicious. The management always kept us informed of any changes and did their best to keep mum comfortable and safe. I would have no hesitation in recommending Vine House. It was like home from home. I just wish that mum had longer to enjoy her stay.
