The Tudors Care Home

My Dad originally went into the Tudors for respite care and as circumstances at home changed, he has remained there permanently. They were so accommodating when he originally went in at very short notice. They pulled out all the stops to get him settled in quickly. All the staff are fantastic and look after Dad as if he was part of their family. The Tudors have a real family feel and are always very welcoming when we visit. I couldn’t be happier with Dad’s care knowing he is safe and being well looked after.

Beautiful home, my mother is well looked after and her room is always clean. I have no worries about her being in the home. She has been there for a few years now, the staff are friendly, always smiling, helpful and always keep you in the loop of what’s going on.

Couldn't ask for better care for my mum! When she first arrived she was frail and immobile, she had been a resident at a different care home and had not been treated with the care she deserved. After a few weeks at The Tudors, she had put on weight, she regained her strength and is now back to the Mum I remember. The staff are amazing and brilliant with the residents.

My mother has been at the Tudors for over 4 years now. Nothing has changed. It was and still is the best home in the Peterborough area. After visiting many homes around Peterborough, The Tudors stood out to us as the best. Care, Attention, and Love of all the staff "Shone though" and to this day, still "Shines though". We feel lucky my mother is in the Tudors. Thank you.

Thank you to all the staff at The Tudors Care Home for looking after our Mamma. Every single day we appreciate you all and everything you do for Mamma and all the other residents. You all work so hard, putting in every effort on a daily basis to provide care, support, understanding, time, dignity, patience, respect, protection, fun/activities, food and drinks and treat our mamma as an individual with her own needs. Mamma is very settled and feels very much “at home” at the Tudors care Home. We are aware she can show some challenging behaviour and have mood swings which your staff never ignore but instead, always attempt to deal with respectfully, providing a distraction to help calm her. When Mamma's poorly, your staff are usually a step ahead as they can read her individual signs that may indicate she’s “brewing something” or if she’s having an “off” day. We are so happy to finally be able to visit Mamma inside the care home and feel part of The Tudors Family. Thank you all so much.

Since Mum has been here, they have looked after her very well. The home is very clean, and the staff are caring and polite.

It has been extremely difficult seeing our mum going into care but has been made so much easier with the wonderful staff and lovely atmosphere st the Tudors. It is a lively, warm loving environment and can't praise it highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is treated with dignity, respect and love.

My mother came to The Tudors in July 2018. She had been in a previous care home and our family didn't feel she was getting the best of care. My sister and I just dropped into the Tudors unannounced to have a look. We were absolutely blown away. The first thing we both noticed was there was no smell of urine. The home is exceptionally clean. The staff are all very hands on. They interact with every resident. My mother is cared for, very well fed. The food is fantastic. I would highly recommend.

My dad has been here for a while now and as a healthcare assistant working in a hospital, I can say that my dad has amazing care from an amazing team of carers. They are attentive, caring and very supportive to the residents, each other and the resident's relatives. They make me and my family safe in the knowledge that our dad is in the best place.

A caring, professional, helpful and dignified team in all areas, they go beyond their duties to provide a family atmosphere.

It is such a difficult task to choose a care home on behalf of a parent with dementia, but I needn't have worried. The Tudors have very special, caring staff who are friendly smiley people! Nothing is too much trouble for them and I am made to feel very welcome when I visit my dad. All the staff from the manager, the carers, cleaners, kitchen staff, activity coordinators do a fantastic job and I feel happy knowing that dad is being cared for in such a lovely home. Thank you.

My personal experience of The Tudors is fantastic. Staff in every department are professional, caring and look after the residents as if they were their own family member.

I can only confirm how extremely fortunate I feel that she was accepted into The Tudors Care Home. Nothing appears to be too much trouble for a 100% caring staff in a very difficult situation and my wife appears to be very happy and contented. Obviously, with her condition Alzheimer's there is a steady deterioration but the staff take everything in their uncomplaining stride for which I will always be very grateful.

I found the staff to be polite, interacts with residents at all times, nothing is too much trouble - any concerns dealt with straight away, my nan seems happy staying there - that is what matters.

I have noticed that no matter what time I visit my husband I see that the residents, staff, carers, kitchen staff, maintenance staff, and cleaners ALL have a smile when doing their duties. All the residents are treated with such care and tenderness, even when some can be challenging because of their cruel illness. The staff have been concerned and helpful to me and my family to re-adjust our lives to accept that we cannot change his illness. We are just so thankful that we found The Tudors Care Home to help care for our dearest one.

The staff at The Tudors have welcomed mum into the home with a helpful, caring and positive attitude. They have also been kind, caring and very helpful to my husband and myself at this very difficult time. The forward thinking and pro-active attitude of the staff are a refreshing experience for both residents and family alike. They encourage residents to partake in realistic and practical activities which are relevant to the older generations memories and life experiences.

Being a regular visitor, staff, meals, activities are as ticked in the boxes below. It is a good care home.

My mothers alzheimer's has taken a turn for the worse but she does not know us but trusts and relies on the staff. She is happy, mother treats The Tudors as her home.
