Beauchamp House is a residential care home in Chedgrave, South Norfolk that aims to provide residents with a friendly living environment, with the added benefit of having a professional team of staff on hand to help and advise on their individual needs.

All residents are allocated a key-worker who is responsible for agreeing a personal care plan. This plan is regularly reviewed with residents and their family. Residents are encouraged to make as many choices as possible about their interests and activities and staff always try to provide or facilitate activities that promote a high quality of life.

A dedicated area of the home has recently opened which provides specialist care for people living with dementia. It contains bedrooms, a kitchen and dining area, a communal living room, assisted bathroom and separate toilets.

My aunt spent the last 4 years of her life at Beauchamp House and I strongly believe they were the happiest days for her. The staff are amazing and I don't think she would've lived to such a great age if she hadn't come there to live.

Words cannot express the care and loving kindness given to my aunt by all the staff. 4 years my aunt was living at Beauchamp House and all this time she was so happy and contented. On her 100th birthday she was given a wonderful birthday party with all her friends at the home, a time I shall always
remember. At 'end of life care' my aunt was treated with her the most respect and dignity by all staff. My thanks go to all at Beauchamp House Care Home.

My mother has been a resident in this home approx a year now. Her 24hr care has been provided in a professionable and thoughtfull manner. The home is quite a freindly place with activities provided to suit those with enhanced care residents mixing with the upper floor residents. We as a family get on
well with management, floor staff and residents alike. Small areas of concern have been, length of time toilets were out of order. My mother's mid week shower or bath being implemented.

The staff in general have empathy with the residents. Medication given at correct time and amount. Are usually busy but still able to spare some time to converse with residents. Choice of food is varied and adequate portions given, also to residents that need a specific nutrition diet. Help people who
are physically and/or mentally impaired and also they react swiftly to anyone who has difficulty socialising. Any problems are usually sorted out promptly.

My elderly cousin spent the last 2 years of her life at Beauchamp House. She was exceptionally well looked after and had a very comfortable small, warm, clean room to live in. The staff were always kind and attentive and managed superbly in very difficult circumstances. I was always well informed as
to issues relating to my cousin and I was always so grateful for the kindness shown to my cousin when she was not very easy to care for. She certainly was extremely lucky to have been able to live there and I am eternally grateful for the care and kindness she was shown there.

As I cannot walk at the moment because of ulcerated legs, I have to use a wheelchair so I am very pleased with all the help I get to go to the toilet and to bed. Thanks to everybody. I love you all.

My husband has been in Beauchamp House for a year. I have always found the staff very helpful, caring and understanding to my husband and also to myself., they are all very dedicated and care so much. It would be really helpful to have lots of photographs and comments for families to talk about with
their loved ones, to help visitors have topics to talk about during visits. I have been very grateful for all the loving care that my husband receives from you all.

A very welcoming atmosphere. The staff are very friendly but very professional at all times. I enjoy being welcomed by my first name by all of them. Above all else, they are all very caring individuals and I know that my brother who is physically very able but has minor learning difficulties is very

I moved my mum into Beauchamp House in April 2022 because of her Dementia and the care she needed. From the first visit, I felt like it was home. 6 months on and mum needs so much additional care and none of it is too much trouble. They have such empathy not only with the residents but also have been
there to help me too when it gets too much and I need to either cry or just talk. I can visit anytime day or night which is not an option in most homes which means I can see mum as much as I want. I cannot praise this home, or its staff enough. Outstanding.

My dad was booked to go to Beauchamp House for respite after a short spell in hospital. All the staff were very caring and dedicated to their job. The staff were so supportive to me and my family at a difficult time and always had time to talk to me when I had any worries about Dad's health. The staff
clearly enjoy their job and treated Dad with respect and dignity. I would highly recommend Beauchamp House.

My mum is happy living in this care home. She is able to remain independent but is fully aware that there is always a wonderful member of staff there to assist her if needed. The staff are always helpful and friendly when I visit.

My husband who has dementia seemed happy and content when I visited. The staff were always friendly and attentive. The residents were clean and looked well cared for and when exhibiting somewhat challenging behaviours were attended to with a calm and caring fashion. The food according to my husband
was good (he is a bit of a foodie) and the atmosphere generally was warm and welcoming.

I have worked in care for 20 years, rising from the role of care assistant to my current role as manager of Beauchamp House. I have a passion for person centred dementia care, and enjoy talking to our residents, who all have great stories to tell. I enjoy meeting with people to help them when they move into our home, helping them with becoming part of our community, forming new friendships and generally settling in to living with us – there really is no greater achievement.
