My mother has been at East Carleton care home for 18 months. The manager, carers and back up staff have been amazing in helping mum settle in. They have taken the time to get to know her and nothing seems like too much trouble. I am happy that she received the highest level of care and I have no hesitation in recommending the care home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this lovely review. It means a great deal to know your mum has settled in so well and that our team's care and attention have made such a difference to her, and to you. Thank you again for trusting us with your mum's care
All the staff are kind and welcoming.
The home is well presented and clean.
I am always contacted if any problems occur.
A big thankyou to all the staff that work there.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to leave a review.
We're so pleased to hear that your father is well cared for, and that you find the home welcoming, clean and well presented.
Thank you for trusting us with your father's care. It's a privilege to look after him.
With warm wishes,
The staff are lovely, you can tell that they genuinely care for all those living at Carleton House. They are friendly, fun and also make family and friends feel apart of the Carleton House family. They show patience, kindness and person centred care on every interaction.
My Grandads overall health and presentation has improved greatly since arriving at Carleton. He is eating and drinking better, his mobility has improved and most of all his speech and interaction with others is incredible.
I must give Adele (the manager) a huge thank you. She not only has a home and staff to be proud of, but she has supported our family through this transition with respect and care. I will be forever grateful to all at Carleton House for the amazing care they give my Grandad. Thank you
We're delighted to hear that your grandad has settled so well, and that the warmth of Carleton House came through right from that very first phone call. Hearing that his health, mobility, eating and drinking, and especially his speech and interaction...
Her previous care home was not the right place for my mum and she was be coming worse with her Alzheimer's and becoming depressed
Since being a resident she has greatly improved and at times does join in talks and remember things
All the staff are so kind and caring and listen to their needs
Nothing is too much trouble
My mum has her hair done every week like she always use too
She had manicures and pedicures and had the odd drink
All the residents are treated with respect and kindness
If your looking for somewhere for your loved one look at Carlton House
It means a great deal to us to hear how far your mum has come over the past year. We know how worrying it is to move a loved one when things aren't right, and we're so...
When my brother and I first went to look we knew immediately it was the right place for our Dad.
The staff are so friendly, caring and kind nothing was to much trouble.
Dad was only at the home for a fortnight and passed away there. How the staff treated us was amazing and extremely professional.
Thankyou to all the staff that cared for our Dad!
We highly recommend Carleton House.
Thank you for such kind words at what must still be a very difficult time. We're so sorry for the loss of your Dad, and it was a privilege to care for him, however brief his stay. It means a great deal to us that you and your brother felt so welcomed and supported, and that you felt he was...
The staff at Carleton House are lovely and so friendly. They make a great team and really take care of my mum. Individually they all relate and understand her because they've taken the time and got to really know her well. I always know she's in good hands and they will contact me immediately if something is needed. I also enjoy my relationship with all the staff at Carleton House and I think they've got to know me too. That is important for communication about my mums needs.
Thank you for such a lovely review. Your mum is a pleasure to look after, and it means a lot to know she feels so well cared for, and that you feel that trust with us too. Knowing both our residents and their families properly is what makes the difference. Thank you again for the kind words.
With best wishes,
The team at Carleton House
I am my wife's sole carer as she suffers with dementia. In mid January I was admitted to hospital as an emergency patient and my wife needed immediate full time care. The home was able to offer immediate accommodation and she remained there until I was fully recovered and able to take over her care. Throughout her time at the home she was well looked after by everyone and I had no worries about her welfare or safety.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review of the home and your experience. We're truly glad we could be there for you both at such a worrying and unexpected time. We wish you both all the very best.
The manager and team of carers, caterers, cleaners etc have helped my mother have an enjoyable time. They have all made extra time to converse with Mum, taken extra time too with us. We have always felt welcome at all of our visits. We have also been impressed with the activities set up for Mum and the other residents. The carers have always been professional and caring. We have no hesitation in recommending the care home.
My 99 year old Mum has been at Carleton House for the last two years and has received a high level of compassionate and attentive care. The carers are wonderful, as are the hard working support team who take care of the kitchen, cleaning and maintenance. Adele and her staff have been incredibly supportive of both Mum and myself and have responded thoughtfully to Mum's various health problems. The care home is relatively small which means there is a real family and homely atmosphere. I have got to know a lot of the staff and feel confident that they have Mum's best interests at heart when I can't be with her. Adele always listens with patience and understanding if any minor issues crop up and always responds quickly and efficiently to put things right and offer reassurance. I am so glad I chose Carleton House for Mum, the house itself may not be the most modern but the quality and dedication of the staff are exemplary which, for us, is of far more importance. Thank you!
Both my parents have been resident at Carlton House, although mum has now been able to move into housing with care, so I have plenty of experience over the past few years. Dad is currently there and has been looked after by Adele and her wonderful team since late 2019. I can honestly say that the staff are wonderful- not only the care staff but the cleaners and kitchen staff too. Dad can be a little difficult at times due to his illness and I know he's always treated with kindness and respect and is safe. The house and the gardens are lovely too. I really couldn't be happier to know he's being cared for there.
A huge thank you to all staff you are brilliant,

When my mum needed care Carleton House was the obvious choice. The manager has been fantastic and visited Mum in the hospital to assess her and together with her team have made Mum feel loved and cared for. Nothing is too much trouble. I feel they have got to know her as an individual and personalised her care. The whole team from managers, carers, cleaners, kitchen staff and laundry staff just go above and beyond.
I know from visiting dozens of care homes in my job that grander-looking homes do not mean better care. It's the kindness of the staff that makes this place perfect.
Thank you so much for your kind words and brilliant review of Carleton House and its fantastic team. It's great to hear how happy you and your mother are with the home.
Best wishes from the director and all the team at Carleton House.
Thank you all so much.

A lovely family run home, it was very hard for me to put my mum into a care home, but within a few days I was able to sleep again at night. Everyone at Carleton House is friendly, supporting not only your loved one, but the family as well. The home is like one large family, the food is amazing, always smells so good when I visit mum, and always very good quality. Always plenty of activities within the home, and lovely gardens to sit in, in the summer. Decoration and cleanliness within the home is of a very high standard, I would recommend Carleton House to anyone looking to get help with their loved one.
Good morning Merilyn,
Thank you for your brilliant feedback and ongoing support for Carleton House. It is great to hear how happy your are with the home.
Best wishes,
Ben and all the team at Carleton House
As the home is small the carers are able to bond with the residents which gives the home a family feel and a personal touch.
There are lots of entertainments provided that the residents can join in with if they wish to help stimulate and pass the time. We have attended the summer BBQ, fireworks display and Christmas pantomime at the home which have been brilliantly organised.
I would like to thank all the staff for the care and attention they provide for my parents and wish them all the best for the future.
Good morning David, thank you for taking the time to review Carleton House. We are very grateful for your brilliant feedback and to hear how happy you are with the home and staff at Carleton House. Best wishes, the director and all the team.
There is always a warm welcome for whoever visits.
Thank you.
Good morning Margaretha, thank you so much for your kind words. We are so pleased to hear how happy you are with Carleton House. Best wishes, the director and all the team.
From being very withdrawn and resistant to care, I saw my lovely aunt truly blossom in their care. She loved chatting with the carers and staff and could again interact with people with confidence and happiness. She thrived under their patience and good humour too. She was always clean and dignified and given time, including quiet time when needed. They simply took time to talk to her and go the extra mile in remembering all her little ways. To see her face light up was so moving. I visited her weekly and treasure that time during her final months.
When my dear aunt reached the end of her life, the care she received from the staff was personal, gentle and exemplary. Thank you all so much.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. It is so encouraging to hear just how happy your aunt and yourself were with Carleton House. Best wishes from Ben and all the team.
