The staff have done very well. I was treated very well. I stayed on the Nordelph Unit and feel I’ve got much better with the help from the team. A specific staff member encouraged me to sing songs of Christmas time, which I enjoyed.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and that the support from staff has made you feel better in yourself.
We have recently started supporting High Haven Care Home. On Friday 27th May they hosted a “Gala/Award Event“. We had the great pleasure of being involved in helping with this event. Although this was mainly for the staff of the care home, the residents were also involved. The dining room was decorated beautifully (red carpet, balloon arch, table decorations etc). We were invited back to join the staff and residents for the event and join in, chat with everyone. I must say that I was so happy I did go back. I sat and had some tea with the residents first and had some beautiful conversations and laughs. Then some of the staff joined us and I really can’t find the right words to describe the atmosphere, other than it was beautifully heartwarming. To see the care, respect and fun that the staff had with residents was amazing. Listening to what they have had to do in the past 2 years to care for the residents was amazing. We are so happy to be helping with this lovely care home.
Thank you for sharing your experience, it sounds like a really wonderful event.
Care given was first class. Although it is a busy home an assistant was in attending within minutes of activating the pendant. All staff were very friendly and on first name terms. Food was also very good.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased you had a satisfactory experience whilst in our care. The team at High Haven strive to keep the wait times at a minimum for all our residents.
First class staff - friendly, confident, well trained and could not have asked for more.
No complaints.
Just keep up the good work.
Thank you all.
Guardian angels of High Haven.

My mum was in High Haven for 5 years and sadly passed away earlier this month. She enjoyed being there. All the staff were excellent and very caring the residents always come first. The food was excellent. I was always made very welcome when I visited my mum, it was like home from home. I would highly recommend High Haven. I can not thank everyone enough for all they did for my mum.
Thank you so much for your very kind words, I am so pleased that mum enjoyed her time with us at High Haven as with our residents it is just as important for us to make our relatives feel welcome and at home. Thank you once again.
I have had one week in High Haven. I found everyone so very nice to me and kind. I was made very welcome and looked after well.
We are so very pleased you had an enjoyable stay with us. The staff aim to make everyone feel welcome and well looked after. Thank you for your lovely words; these will be passed onto the team.
During her time there the attention to her health and welfare has been outstanding, but so much more than that, she has been treated with respect, dignity and kindness. Over the past two years, it has been very difficult for me to visit and often as I would have liked but the team have always kept me up to date with calls and messages about her health and wellbeing, giving me great comfort in knowing she was in good hands.
I would not hesitate to recommend High Haven. In fact, when the time comes, I'm moving in myself.
Thank you for your kind words. It was an absolute pleasure to provide care for your mother and we are so pleased that you found comfort in the care and attention your loved one received whilst in our care. The team strive to ensure that not only our residents but their families are also treated...
My brother was a resident of High Haven for two and a half years and sadly passed away in November. From the very beginning to the very end, his care was outstanding. He regularly told me how wonderful the staff were and was very complimentary about the food! All the staff are dedicated, hard-working, conscientious and are like family to many. They are an exceptional team of people, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to anyone. It was always comforting for my family to know that my brother was so well cared for.
Thank you for your lovely words. I am so pleased that you found consistency and comfort in the care provided to your brother during the time he spent with us. Your kind words will be passed on to the team. Thank you once again.
Staff are lovely and always smiling, helpful and friendly. We are very happy with the care Mum received. They all treat the old and especially the dementia patients with kindness and dignity.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased that you are happy with the care your mum received during her stay with us and felt confident with the procedures in place ensuring your loved ones health remained paramount in such difficult times.
My father was admitted in the autumn of 2018, following the deterioration of his Parkinsons, and developing Lewy body dementia. He was resident until his passing in November 2021, and his care was excellent throughout. The staff did their level best at all times, and always kept us fully informed in pandemic times of his fluctuating health. In the last month of his life, the bond the staff had made with him was clear to see. Thank you, Team High Haven.
Thank you for such lovely words, it was a pleasure to have your father in our care. The restrictions in place during the current pandemic have been worrying for all especially for those unable to visit loved ones, at high haven we aim to keep all families members informed of and involved with the individuals care package.
I arrived at High Haven in September 2021. I will be going home this coming Friday. In the time that I have been here. I have felt very comfortable. From the staff to the management, the staff are very friendly and go beyond their everyday duties. The food is excellent too, with a wide variety of choice. Just wanted to say to you all a big thanks.
Thank you for such kind words, these will be passed onto the staff team. It is always a pleasure to enable someone to return home following their stay with us.
My time spent at High Haven was a joy to be amongst friendly and caring people, the care and attention was an experience for me. Living on my own the company and care was so thoughtful and gave me the will and confidence to get mobile again though always they still gave me attention. Many thanks.
We are so happy that the care and attention shown by staff here at High Haven boosted your confidence and has enabled you to return home. Thank you for your kind words, these will be passed to the Nordelph Team.

I would recommend High Haven to anyone. If I had to use again I would.
Thank you for your kind review of High Haven and the care and attention you received during your stay.
High Haven is a well run excellent care provider that I would recommend to other people. They make sure that resident's needs come first. The caring environment is superb with experienced, sympathetic and knowledgeable staff. They constantly update relatives on the care and needs of their loved ones. Daily activities are a must and are enjoyed by all. The manager is very professional, caring and cares for all her residents with a passion. Excellent care!
Thank you for your kind comments about the care and support provided at High Haven.
My husband suffered from Alzheimer's and went into full-time care with High Haven, Downham Market. In the three years he was there he was treated with respect and dignity. He was encouraged to do activities, and when no longer able to do anything he was loved. I was encouraged by this and forever grateful.
Thank you for your kind words about the care and support you and your husband received from High Haven.
My Father, aged 88, has just returned to his home following two week’s respite care at High Haven Downham Market. The set up at the home is first class, my Dad suffers with Dementia and the home specialises with this type of condition. Having visited my Dad Three times during his stay I can honestly say that the home is excellent. It is very clean throughout and his room was more than adequate for him, this included a large TV which he could watch whenever he liked. The staff, at all levels, were very engaging with my Dad, other patients and also visitors when on site. In addition, they were extremely professional and polite when communicating via the phone. My Dad takes a number of medications which were clearly administered correctly throughout his stay, the Mar chart was filled in every time and gone through in detail with myself when Dad came home at the completion of his stay. The food and the daily activities were excellent. A great place to stay, highly recommend.
Wow, thank you for your kind and detailed thoughts about the care and support your father received at High Haven.

Meet the Team (1)

I started my career at 18 as a care support worker, at this point I knew this was the job for me, 20+ years later and as a manager, I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Over the years, I have been very fortunate to meet many wonderful people to work alongside and care for. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone smile because you have helped them in some way.
I am so lucky to be part and lead such a wonderful team that is dedicated to delivering high-quality person-centered care, something that NorseCare holds at the heart of everything we do, to ensure positive outcomes for our residents
