I am so pleased that i chose Rebecca Court Care Home for my friend. From my first visit to the home i knew she would be happy there. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and caring, nothing is too much trouble for them. My friend always comments on how nice the food is which is brilliant as she is a
fussy eater. I think this is an excellent care home and would highly recommend it to anyone
I can not praise this care home enough

My dad has been at Rebecca Court approximately 3 years or so. It is only the dedication and care of the staff that he is still with us,and just recently celebrated his 90th birthday. All the staff from the bottom up, treat him with care and kindness. Not only has he survived, he has thrived. And that
is due to the all the staff.

My Father has been living at Rebecca Court for 4 years now. The staff have been very caring and are marvellous at handling my Dad as he faces new problems as he gets older. Also the staff are knowledgable about each individual resident.
He is very happy there and is well catered for, if there is an
issue, then the management don't hesitate to get in touch.

I have never had any experience of a care home during my lifetime, and I have been very pleasantly assured that very good care is out there with people who present an attentive and nice environment. Certainly this is the case in Rebecca Court.

My stepfather has been managed very well and is a fairly

high dependance individual but the team at Rebecca Court have attended to his medical and comfort needs well.

Upon my visits I have been updated openly about his health status/condition and have been advised by the staff of any incidents requiring my knowledge/awareness so that it can be communicated to other family members.

My Stepfather seems to be content.

My husband spent 6 weeks at Rebecca Court. From the first day all the staff were welcoming and friendly. And the staff were supportive and understanding at what was an anxious time. There was no problem in visiting and I was always greeted with a friendly smile. He chose to stay in his room and watch
tv most of the time although he could have taken part in any of the varied activities that were provided with encouragement and enthusiasm. During his stay he had a few clinical incidents but each one was dealt with in a prompt and professional way which was very reassuring. He was happy and settled and got to know the team of staff as familiar faces. Rebecca Court is a friendly and welcoming community and certainly a care home we would both recommend.

The staff are unfailingly kind, thoughtful and helpful - to us and all the residents. The young man taking the tea round stopped for a proper chat with one resident who was disturbed, and he was lovely with her, drew out some memories and settled her well.
My aunt has rallied against all odds and is
warm, safe, happy and as healthy as possible. She is always telling us how nice the food is!
The staff tell us everything we need to know and it is always done in such a nice way, showing genuine care for my aunt.
It has made a huge difference to her - and to us!

I am happy my mum is cared for, but unfortunately the lack of activity to stimulate the residents does not exist and as this is part of the holistic care package, it is unacceptable. During the 16 months my mum has been a resident at Rebecca Court, there has been only a very limited period of activities.
I am certain my mum would benefit greatly from day-to-day activities, even though she suffers from dementia.
Reply from Michelle Marks, Manager at Rebecca CourtThank you for your review and for raising your concerns with regards to lack of activities. We agree, this has been an ongoing issue and since our Wellbeing Co-Ordinator resigned in June of this year, we have struggled to successfully recruit to the position.
In the absence of a Co-Ordinator, we have arranged for external providers to visit the home, including a lady who holds exercise sessions and a lady who comes with her pat dog who the resident's adore.
Our staff have supported mum when she chose to be responsible for the management of the dining room, she has also been assisting with the fresh flower arranging and will be assisting this week to decorate the home ready for Halloween, with the support of staff and daughter of one of our residents.
We understand the importance of stimulation for those living with dementia as well as for those who do not and are dedicated to recruiting the right person to position as soon as we can to ensure our residents wellbeing.

My mother has been a resident for 6 months. The staff at the home are very friendly and welcoming. My mother enjoys the food in the light and airy dining room. There are several nice places to sit both inside and outside. My mother enjoys participating in activities that take place in the mornings.
I would give 5 stars for facilities if there was a bar or a gym.

I cannot thank and praise the staff enough at Rebecca Court, from the cleaners to the manager and everyone in between, not only is my dad well cared for, he's respected, they all, including agency staff who help out are wonderful. Dad has had a few medical issues and the visiting District matron and
nursing staff are fabulous. Even if I won the lottery, I wouldn't move him, even though we have to travel from Bournemouth and have health problems ourselves it is so reassuring that he is safe and happy

I have found Rebecca Court to be extremely welcoming and very well-run. All members of staff have been very helpful and very kind to my mum and all the residents that I have witnessed them interacting with during my visits. I have found the bedrooms to be a bit on the small side, but that is not something
that is the fault of the home, just the building.

Rebecca Court was very welcoming and my relative settled well. When phoning the staff were very helpful. My relative is very happy to stay in his room and not join in with other residents/activities. The care and support given was good. My relative would've liked to shower (with help) and although offered
to him, as it was upstairs, it wasn't taken up. Overall, I would be happy to use Rebecca Court for respite.
Reply from Michelle Marks, Manager at Rebecca CourtThank you for your kind words. We are glad your relative found his stay with us agreeable and we are pleased to hear that he is considering coming to stay with us again. We look forward to seeing you both again soon.

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Rebecca Court for looking after my mum before, during and after the Pandemic.

At times my mum has been extremely poorly due to Covid 19 related complications and I truly believe it is due to the outstanding bravery, time and genuine care all the

staff have given her since day one she is still with us today.

My mum is a keen Royalist and nothing makes me happier for my mum to have been here to witness the Platinum Jubilee.

Thank you

Keep up the good work.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.409)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.409) out of 10 for Rebecca Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.659 for Rebecca Court is calculated as follows: ( (95 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (12 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 123 Ratings = 4.659
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.75 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rebecca Court is based on 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.75
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 38 registered maximum number of service users is 7.6, which has been reached with 10 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
