It's quite simple it's a fantastic place for my dear mum to live and myself and my family to visit. Kind carers, good food, relaxed and warm and homely. It was a herd decision to make ie my mum residing in a care home. But I am happy I chose Woodbridge Lodge. I visit my mum and she has her cheeky smiles back and when I leave I am comforted that my mum is safe and warm. Thank you so much. Any help I can give you please ask.

Very happy with Woodbridge Lodge. Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. My sister-in-law has been in here for 18 months and is very happy and comfortable in the home. The staff are very good and have got to know her and her ways very well. She doesn't always join in but continue to encourage her to do some activities.

During our initial visit to this home, we felt that it was a lovely calm place to be. In particular, we were impressed with the wonderful outdoor space. All of the staff we came in contact with appeared cheerful and engaged well with residents. Unfortunately, our brother-in-law's stay was short as his mental health condition had not been fully recognised. After his departure staff and management were very understanding of our situation and wished our brother-in-law an appropriate and happy outcome.

Thank you for your kind words which I will pass onto the staff. We hope that your brother in law receives the support he needs so that he will be able to lead a fulfilled and happy life.

My mum needed respite care after suddenly having a drastic change in her mobility. From the initial enquiry, all staff from cleaners to nurses, caregivers and management were kind, helpful, fun, professional and courteous. Mum was instilled with ease and taken care of with such kindness and yes with fun. Facilities are superb and Mum loved the food. Her room was lovely and she enjoyed her view a lot. Once she was more mobile Mum really enjoyed the more social side even going out to a particular place. She loved it so much that she is booked back in for August after an operation.

I have no complaints whatsoever. The staff have all been courteous, efficient and approachable. I suppose the Covid pandemic had an effect on taking us out, that has not improved very often recently. They have coped well with my being Coeliac, which limits what I can eat.

Reply from Woodbridge Manager, Home Manager at Woodbridge Lodge Care Home

Thank you for the lovely review. We have been on many trips out this year and have many more booked in, which I am sure you will enjoy. We continue to ensure that we can provide for all dietary needs and are happy that you feel as though you still receive a good variety of meals despite being coeliac.

This was a completely new experience for me, not living independently and getting used to relying on other people more. However, all the staff here have been so kind and helpful in every way.

Four weeks respite brought me here awaiting a surgeon's appointment. I was treated kindly, unable to care (wash) for myself and in considerable discomfort and pain. Going forward pain management gradually improved and weeks went by having appointments and finally a date for injections and now a date for an operation has been received. I hope to return for after-op care.

The staff at Woodbridge Lodge are to be commended. They have shown efficiency, empathy and caring towards my mother and me at a very difficult and challenging time, for which I will always be grateful. Providing good care is very demanding and I appreciate the interest and dignity shown to her when time is not readily available. Thank you for your continued support.

There have been some good activities lately. It is great to see Mum enjoying herself and joining in when she can and when she can't, we are happy with the way staff encourage her by explaining what is going on. Catering is generally good even though it is not always appreciated. The staff are dedicated and conscientious.

I came here with my husband in December 2022, sadly my husband died in March. All the staff were so kind and helpful and I never felt alone. The care/support is excellent and we are all treated with dignity and the management is first-class. I'm very happy in my bedroom with a lovely view over the big school. The room is always clean. All food is excellent. The activities I really enjoy to take part in. It's very good value for money.

My husband who suffers from dementia stayed there for 2 weeks respite. Overall the care was very good although his mobility got worse due to being pushed about in the wheelchair due to the distance from his room to the main facilities. He is now back home and walks independently. I was not happy with his clothes being mixed up with other residents.

Woodbridge Lodge made a huge difference to my mum after a difficult time. She regained weight and her happy disposition returned. The home provided a bright, cheerful and caring environment where my mum was treated as an individual, making her own decisions and becoming friends with other residents. As visitors, my partner and I felt welcomed and enjoyed visiting Mum.

We decided on Woodbridge Lodge for my elderly mother for respite care, after having an elbow replacement. The care home Manager arranged transport from the hospital to collect Mum for her stay with the Lodge. The staff go over and above with the patients. Mum's tablets are always administered on time (Mum has Parkinsons'). An excellent well-run home for the elderly. Would definitely recommend it, Mum has made many friends.

Before coming to Kingsley in 2022, I was at another care home in Woodbridge as a social engagement leader. This was a similar position but in a much larger home; what I love about Woodbridge Lodge is that it is a smaller home with a family-oriented feel about it. We are fortunate to have a great, supportive staff team here and lovely residents and families.

Outside work, I run my own cake business from home and regularly participate in charitable evenings. I am married with two children aged 19 and 20, both at university.
