My husband has been here for more than a year, surrounded by kind and caring staff - both for him and myself. It is a small, very personal home in beautiful surroundings, lovely buildings and beautiful gardens. It feels like a family, rather than an institution. I am confident that they always do their very best to make him as comfortable as possible. Thank you.

Thank you for your positive review. We aim to provide an excellent service that is underpinned by our family values and our belief that our residents should be cared for respectfully in surroundings that make them feel at home. The first thing I noticed about Woodbridge Lodge is that it has a really nice friendly atmosphere. The residents use the lounge, conservatory and dining areas to socialise so they don't stay in their rooms all day like some care homes I have seen. The staff are lovely and always seem cheerful. My mum has settled in well and she is well looked after.

Thank you so much for caring for my mother with compassion and kindness. My mother has difficulty swallowing and was still given loads of choices for food, to tempt her to eat. Staff managed to provide a room downstairs where she is very comfortable, with a lovely view of the beautiful garden and wildlife.

We moved my father from his flat in London in April which was a difficult decision and one we were dreading having to do but he has settled into The Lodge incredibly well and is being looked after beautifully. He is happy and feels at home, the staff seem to be lovely. Very relieved that the move went so smoothly.

I was very happy with the high standard of care my mother received, especially in her final weeks. Everyone was so kind, caring, friendly and supportive. Nothing was too much trouble even at busy times. I was always warmly welcomed and offered a cup of tea. Mum had enjoyed an active, social, independent life before health problems slowed her down, so welcomed that side of the care she received. When mum's health started to decline, I was reassured that all end of life care was in place. It was a great comfort to me as mum passed peacefully away. The carers were so kind at this sad time.

My mother who has vascular dementia has been put into Woodbridge Lodge for assessment. The service and care provided by this home have been excellent. The manager and staff put in so much effort in keeping all the residents and their relatives they visit up to date on the care provided and the level of support and the care given to my mother has made such a difference to her quality of life. This is truly a well run and excellent care home.

Very pleased with the level of care shown during this pandemic throughout the last year. As a family, we couldn't have wished for our Mum to be better looked after. It has been good to see that the residents have been fully involved in lots of activities and that our Mum has been participating in activities we know she enjoys.

Council placement. Never heard of home before mothers admission, very homely home. Happy with her care, safety, and security. We will be happier when we can visit as and when we like. The rest of the family would like access as well.

My mum has dementia and needs 24/7 care. All the staff at Woodbridge Lodge are amazing. They have a great entertainment team and engage the residents in many different activities in which they all enjoy. The food is always of good quality at meals, and refreshments, tea and cake available throughout the day. I would highly recommend Woodbridge Lodge.

Mum has had a difficult time recently due to her Alzheimer's, leading to a spell in hospital and a temporary stay at another home. When she moved in, the staff at Woodbridge Lodge were absolutely wonderful and made her (and me) feel so welcome. They took a real interest in her and she seems to be settling in well. I've had regular updates on her progress, which is particularly helpful during this pandemic. They clearly have good strategies for dealing with her anxiety and I'm so grateful to be able to entrust her to their care.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff at Woodbridge Lodge have done their very best to ensure that the residents are kept safe. They should be highly recommended for their communication with relatives and their efforts to keep the residents entertained and busy.

Thank you.

My mum is a resident at Woodbridge Lodge, she is so well looked after and has started to join in with some of the activities. It is a very well run care home, she enjoys the food too.

I live a long way away but when I ring the staff are so reassuring and nothing is too much trouble for them.

My mother is now 101 and the care and attention she has had over the last 6 months of Covid-19 can only be described as outstanding. I am also very impressed with the communication between the home and myself. Every evening I have received a text confirming the home is free of Covid-19.

Review from Nicola H (Cousin of Resident) published on 25 February 2020 Submitted via Postal Card

Most importantly, my cousin mostly seems happy and is treated with affection and respect by all the carers I have seen. The improvements I would like are - more activities in the home, especially painting; better dental care; more care over possessions e.g missing shoes etc; better use of the garden, when appropriate.

I have been in the administration role for about 18 years.

Before working for Kingsley I was an administrator for a local company and I was teaching swimming which I still do.

I love working at Woodbridge Lodge as the staff are all friendly and I enjoy being able to interact with the residents and their families. When I'm not at work I like being outside and keeping fit.

Rachel Dye
Rachel DyeJob Title:Activities & Lifestyle Co-ordinator

Before coming to Kingsley in 2022, I was at another care home in Woodbridge as a social engagement leader. This was a similar position but in a much larger home; what I love about Woodbridge Lodge is that it is a smaller home with a family-oriented feel about it. We are fortunate to have a great, supportive staff team here and lovely residents and families.

Outside work, I run my own cake business from home and regularly participate in charitable evenings. I am married with two children aged 19 and 20, both at university.

Samantha Harvey
Samantha HarveyJob Title:Activities & Lifestyle Co-ordinator

I started my career in the care industry and soon realised that this was my passion, moving from care assistant roles to lifestyle coordinator. Woodbridge Lodge is a beautiful home and I love my role as lifestyle coordinator, supporting our residents and making every day bright, different and interesting for them. I am very passionate about my job and what I do.

Outside work, I enjoy taking part in charity running events with my husband and two children and also enjoy exploring the countryside.
