My father moved into The Limes two weeks after the death of my mother. It was a huge change for him but the staff were so kind and welcoming and he very soon felt at home. They have bent over backwards to help him feel happy. What we particularly like is the way the staff make us, his family, feel so welcome too - always offering to make us cups of tea and making us feel involved in his care. We are over the moon at the service he receives and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Limes to anyone.

The home has cared for my 97-year-old mother for several years now. They continue to provide a caring and friendly environment as well as stimulating residents to be at their best. Visitors are always welcomed and staff are helpful to them with resident updates etc.

Overall Experience
We had the difficult decision to find a suitable home for dad in 2012 after he broke his hip and was left unable to walk and, was then diagnosed with dementia. We chose The Limes Retirement Home and I feel this was the right place for him. The staff were welcoming and friendly from the start. They have made dads stay there as enjoyable as it could be and have shown him genuine affection. They are always helpful and try to deal with any concerns and requests promptly and professionally.
The home itself is not a modern building but is clean, tidy, well decorated and maintained.

Dads health has unfortunately deteriorated significantly recently but the staff do their best to make our visits as relaxed and easy as possible.

A very caring attitude all of the time. Lots of carers everywhere. When a patient needs to move around the building but cannot walk alone, there is always one or sometimes two carers to assist them. The atmosphere is always cheerful and upbeat whenever I visit the whole time.

My mother-in-law has only been at The Limes for ten months but has been very happy. We find the staff very good and helpful. They do more activities than the last home she was in and they have a mini bus which takes them out and about which they all enjoy. The food is good and the home is kept clean, and her room is always tidy. We think this home is excellent.

Dad has received excellent care during his 4+ years at the home. The care home has a relaxed and happy feel and the staff are friendly, caring and helpful. The food is lovely and mainly freshly made and, on occasions, when Dad has requested something which was not on the menu for that day they have made it especially for him.
