My mother and father are both residents at Manor Farm. They have both being extremely well cared for and are both settled and happy. All the staff are very attentive and caring and have gone the extra mile during the pandemic crisis. The staff take the time to understand both their needs and their personality in a very professional manner in order to engage with them and help them feel part of a family. Catering is also top-notch! The building facilities are not the most modern, but you can excuse this as they are always exceptionally clean and well presented.

My father was in manor Farm Care Home for 20 months with vascular dementia.
In that time all the staff were so caring and kind, both to him and us.

The food was very good and his room was clean and tidy. It's a very homely place and we were always greeted with smiles and hellos when visiting. We were always informed of his progress.

I would recommend the home. The staff is very friendly and caring. Looked after my Mum right up to her death on 3rd January. They also were very caring to me on the sad occasions, lots of hugs and kind chats. If I needed a chat they were more than happy to listen and help. The rooms were well equipped and always clean and tidy. The manager was also very friendly too, always ready to help and listen when I needed a chat about anything. I couldn't find fault with anything there. I can only praise them all up always.

My mother has been in the care home now for over two years and in that time her mental wellbeing and confidence has increased considerably. I consider this is because the carers are always available and attentive to her needs and she knows that they will help her with any problem that may arise. All the carers are always polite, helpful and respectful at all times.

Since new management have been in post the appearance of the home has been transformed for the better, along with regular outings and in-house activities for the residents. The chefs provide a great variety of home cooked food and the mid-morning and afternoon trolley service is well presented and has a good varied selection, much improved, well done. The care and attention of the residents is excellent. On my visits I am always welcomed and treated with respect.

Overall Experience
A dear friend has been a resident at Manor farm for some time. The care she receives and the welcome afforded me has always been excellent.
The home is beautifully presented, with great attention to detail. The lounge looks like one you have at home, residents sit in groups, not around the edges of the room. Furniture, clean and modern. Television available but not on all the time, as residents encouraged to participate in activities of all sorts. Always something going on.
They have a variety of outings, at least once a week, chosen by the residents. A library of books available, and quiet places to read if they wish. Tea and coffee making facilities available in a small cafe for friends and family to use adjacent to the resident's lounge. A wonderful and varied menu is available every day and is displayed outside the dining room and on each table. Professional chefs take a pride in what is presented.

She has a named carer, a beautiful room, and is immaculate in her appearance. Happy.

My wife and I have seen a huge improvement what a difference a year can make with the correct Management in place, the personal care is much better, food is prepared and tasty, and details of how much and what is eaten, access to the building and garden has been sorted out at last, before access to the garden was via the laundry room which has never been actable.

The management and staff have made the home much nicer, more pictures and day trips are a welcome addition to morale.
