Despite the cold weather the staff at Stradbroke Court have continued to provide excellent care for John by attending to his health and care needs. We have been regularly informed of the Christmas and New Year activties and were welcomed to attend if possible, whilst reminding us of staying away if
we have any of our own health issues. The dining room facilities and meals provided take account of the different needs of the residents. John has enjoyed the musical entertainment. There has been hairdressing and optician inspections recently. Thank you.
Reply from Davina Button, Home Manager at Stradbroke CourtThankyou for your kind words; every day is a new experience and staff aim for the highest quality of care and communication to ensure the best possible atmosphere for residents and their loved ones

My mother joined stradbroke court in June 2025 of this year . She has dementia and needs 24 hour care. I feel the home meet the needs of the elderly and patients with dementia .
The activities provided keep their minds active and a chance to join in and mix with other residents. Also they can walk
about the building safely and not confined to one room or a sitting in a chair all day Residents have their own room with a toilet and washing facilities. They have their own tele and never have to share the room giving them privacy and their own space.
They have a good balanced menu and choices for all .
All staff are pleasant ad polite ad are very helpful ad supporting. Family and friends can join their ones for lunch and made very welcome .
Reply from Davina Button, Home Manager at Stradbroke CourtThankyou for the lovely feedback. We are lucky to have such a strong team who all enjoy making every day a new special experience for the residents. Having family and friends visit regularly brings so much joy to the residents and makes it feel even more like home from home.

My dad has been in the home for a few weeks now. Initially, there was a few concerns he had, management got on top of this straight away and things were put in place to help my dad settle more.
The home has lots of different events on which is lovely to be a part of.
The food always looks amazing
and residents are well looked after.

Cannot find fault with the staff, they are very polite and helpful and happy. Happy staff make happy customers. Only one problem long time waiting for the alarm system to be repaired, as I feel unsure at night, as not working correctly.

I think overall very good with a shortage of staff. Rooms are excellent and clean. One problem is that dinner is never on time. Second part - too long wait - finished meal 1.45 too long. No problem with the chef - helpful.

Very impressed with everything (cannot comment on value for money as I don't have the information). All the staff I have met whilst visiting my friend are all extremly helpful, pleasant, kind and efficient, both admin staff and care staff.
My friend might only be there temporarily for respite but everyone
has made her very welcome, have accommodated her needs and treated her with total kindness and respect.

Following the closure of another care home, my Mum moved into Stradbroke Court, she was welcomed with open arms which made the move so much easier than I expected. The staff are all lovely and helpful and the food is a huge improvement from the previous place. We can go at any time which with me working
is a great help, and we can also take our dog in which the residents seem to enjoy. Thank you to everyone involved.

Care and support can't be faulted. Always treated with dignity and person-centred care. The food is excellent and the home is very clean. Changes implemented by the head office have resulted in a recent high turnover of staff. We hope that Mum's high quality of care will not deteriorate because of this.
The care staff are wonderful and need to be valued, appreciated, and perhaps paid more.
Reply from Davina Button, Home Manager at Stradbroke CourtThank you. We strive each day to make the home a more wonderful place, to provide a high standard of care and to make every resident as happy and as comfortable as possible. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and the standard of our meals, yet try every day to make everything even better. The staff always appreciate good feedback and I will ensure your positivity is passed along. Thank you.

Mum has been in Stradbroke Court for over three years. Initially, she was very withdrawn, but the home has been proactive in encouraging her to join in with group activities. She has always been well looked after by the friendly and helpful staff. Throughout the pandemic, they were proactive again with
encouraging video calls as we couldn't visit face-to-face and have loosened visiting restrictions as possible whilst keeping up to date with local guidelines. She always seems very happy whenever I visit, and I've had no concerns at all during Mum's stay here.

The managers and staff have been most supportive of my mother and I through very difficult times. They were able to encourage people to adhere to very strict lockdown restrictions in a way in which the Prime Minister was not.
Even the ridiculous restrictions were enforced, which made life even more
difficult for staff. (I refer here to some of the PPE requirements).
Now that restrictions are largely lifted, I look forward to engaging more with the daily life of the home. Staff have been very helpful throughout, and I thank them for that.
Reply from Viktor Zak, Regional Manager at Stradbroke CourtThank you very much for your encouraging words and feedback. Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.570)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.570) out of 10 for Stradbroke Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.620 for Stradbroke Court is calculated as follows: ( (136 Excellents x 5) + (73 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 213 Ratings = 4.62
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Stradbroke Court is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 43 registered maximum number of service users is 8.6, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
