My mum has been at Beechcroft Residential Home for nearly two years and I thought it would be nice to give a review.

I cannot say enough in a positive way about Beechcroft. I couldn't be any happier about the way my mum is being cared for. Her room is lovely and the whole atmosphere of the care home is superb, nothing flashy just a personal, homely, caring home. The kitchen staff produce lovely meals, the entertainment provided is thoughtful but the most important thing is their staff, all of those who I've had the pleasure of meeting, they are open and transparent, even when I've asked personal questions regarding my mum, it is met with honesty and care. I would, if I can, say a special thank you to all of them, it means so much.

My wife has been in Beechcroft Residential Home since July. She has been looked after day and night. The staff are first-class, I am very happy how my wife has settled in. This is a small home but I could not want my wife to be anywhere else. Thank you Beechcroft.

Mum has been at Beechcroft Residential Home now for nearly eighteen months. She's very happy and settled, she enjoys the company of all the staff and the residents. She particularly likes the delicious homemade food and lashings of custard on all her puddings. She likes to join in the activities and very much enjoys the musical entertainment. She also likes to play her keyboard for afternoon entertainment in the sitting room for everyone to enjoy. It is a very welcoming, homely care home with smiley faces welcoming you on arrival. The garden area is very much a bonus, as it gives a chance of a bit of outside exercise and a place to enjoy the summer sunshine. I can't recommend it too highly.

My mum and I decided she needed extra support with daily life. After looking at a few residential homes, we decided on Beechcroft Residential Home. First impressions were lovely and friendly, like a home from home, so Mum moved in and settled really well. She really enjoyed the company and the activities, games and crafts. She loved the variety of lovely food and staff would always make her favourite milky coffee for her! Would highly recommend.

Our grandmother stayed at Beechcroft Residential Home from December to September and very sadly passed away two days ago. I cannot express how happy we were with her care during her final months and the compassion and kindness shown not only to her but also to us during the last few very painful days.

My mum started coming to Beechcroft Residential Home as a weekly visitor when she lived alone in her home.
A place became available in January and we decided to do a month's trial. It didn't take long to see this was the place to live full-time.
It's home from home. Staff are extremely friendly and make my mum feel special and wanted. Lovely, home-cooked food by the chefs and beautiful cakes baked on special occasions.
The care is second to none and gives the family peace of mind knowing Mum is being well looked after.

Highly recommend and so pleased we moved Mum here.

Beechcroft is a warm and welcoming residential home. After having to find a home for my grandfather I couldn’t believe our luck when Beechcroft had a room available just at the right time. The staff are friendly, approachable and caring towards my grandfather and have made him feel very comfortable and welcomed at a difficult time. My grandfather enjoys the food, it always smells delicious when I visit and his needs are being met adequately. The atmosphere in the home is relaxed and they have lovely activities for those who wish to join in. Knowing that my grandfather is being looked after and cared for in such a lovely environment is all that I could wish for.

I find this a very friendly happy home with carers working hard to help me with everything I need. The home is very clean indeed which is a priority to me. I am able to make my room my own space. The meals are very good with very delicious sweets and my needs are catered for. I enjoy my breakfast in my room, drinks are available throughout the day. The gardens are beautiful to sit out in, with plenty of walking areas. I am very happy to have found this home.

An outstanding care home: our mother moved to Beechcroft Residential Home in January 2020 at the age of 97. After a period of hospitalisation, it was clear she needed residential care. She first moved into another home in August 2019. She was not happy there and the care was indifferent so when the opportunity for a place at Beechcroft came up we moved her. The care at Beechcroft has been exemplary, she received the best care and attention possible. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. As her health deteriorated her behaviour became increasingly challenging, yet Beechcroft always dealt with her with kindness and professionalism.
She died in the home in the most peaceful way and, again, Beechcroft's staff were outstandingly caring in a difficult time.

I have no hesitation in recommending Beechcroft as a Care Home. It would be difficult to find anywhere better.

I would like to thank the Beechcroft staff for their excellent care of my Aunt who recently passed away after 4 years of care in the home.

Throughout her stay, my aunt was treated with compassion and respect. After developing dementia the staff did everything they could to keep my aunt happy and contented. During the lockdown, it was very difficult to communicate with my aunt but the staff kept me up to date with her condition. We were able to have some outdoor visits last summer which were much appreciated. During the last week of her life, I was able to visit at any time and sit with my aunt.

The care team at this home is of a very high standard for everyone within their care, it's a real 'home from home' experience and you can tell the staff really do care for their residents above and beyond the basics of care needs. My Mother who has lived here for over a year now is very content living in this small family type setting.

My mother has been cared for at Beechcroft for over 2 years now and really feels at home there, and loves her room as her own 'place'. The quality and care that goes into each meal is exceptional and varied. Medical issues are dealt with professionally and the network of support from the local GP and nurses is always used as soon as required. So my thanks go to all staff as I can't imagine what we’d do without you.
