The assessment process and transition of my dad from my home to Gorselands was very thorough, and done with lots of reassurance. The home and gardens are beautiful and staff are friendly and very caring. Dad now has a much more meaningful existence than I could provide. Many activities and entertainment throughout the week. He settled quickly and remains happy since he moved in last December.

My mother had exceptional care at Gorselands and the staff were very caring, kind and supportive at all times. The food was very good. Her room was always kept clean and a good size. We were always kept informed with health concerns. It's a lovely caring home.

My mother has been a resident in Gorselands for four months, she settled in well and on my last visit referred to Gorselands as "my lovely home". I have seen nothing but kindness and efficiency from the caring staff. They have also always made me feel welcome on my visits. There is a good range of activities and trips which mum enjoys taking part in. Something is organised for most days. Mum particularly enjoys the lovely gardens and the ability to walk around them and sit out in them.

My mother has now been a resident for the past 2 years, she is happy and settled. The home has been consistent in providing very good care. The staff seem happy in their work which helps us to provide a good atmosphere. There is a good variety of daily activities, plus regular mini bus trips to local events such as the theatre.

A good selection of Christmas activities have also been provided. There is good liaison with the local GP and nurses, with the home keeping me informed of necessary information. The home always seems clean, sheets changed regularly and tidy. Nice secure gardens.

All the staff were caring and supportive and made Mum's final year as comfortable as possible. There was always plenty of entertainment provided, which the residents enjoyed. The staff work extremely hard to make sure the residents are well looked after. I would highly recommend this care home.

My aunt has been looked after at Gorselands Care Home for 18 weeks. The family inspected numerous homes in the local area and are so pleased we took the decision to choose Gorselands Care Home. The staff are caring and empathetic. The home is always clean and there are many activities for the residents. Visitors are always warmly welcomed by the staff and we are kept informed immediately of any issues. My family and I would recommend Gorselands Care Home to anyone.

My sister has been a resident at Gorselands Care Home for nearly six years. She is very happy there and to know that she is extremely well cared for by all the staff. Gorselands Care Home welcomes visitors and keeps one totally updated concerning the physical and mental health of ones relative. The activities are numerous and varied, both theatrical and entertaining including regular professional artists. The proprietor is an accomplished singer and guitar player in his own right and performs weekly. The residents G.P has the highest regard for all facets of Gorselands.

We have been very pleased with Gorselands Care Home, all the staff are very caring even when my mother in law gets frustrated and aggressive. They are so patient with her even when she gets bossy. The activities are great and several items made have been entered into competitions. Whenever you go to visit you are always offered a drink which comes on a tray just like you would have if you were visiting that persons home. Nothing is too much trouble for the manager and it is good to see the owners take an active part of running the home and can frequently be seen in the home entertaining the residents.

I visit my mother weekly and always find her well looked after. She is clean and well fed and appears happy. I am able to bring my dog with me as my mum always loved dogs. There is a tidy garden which my mum likes being out in.

When I visit I am always greeted by smiling staff and a general calm in the resident's lounges. Nothing is too much trouble and mother's well being is readily discussed by senior staff. Any health concerns are always attended to as needed with appropriate follow up information provided as soon as acted upon. There are regular activities for mother to take part in - if she wants to. There is no pressure.

The most important aspect is that she is happy at Gorselands and that is the objective.
