Kindness, respect, compassion, dignity and excellent care are what this home provides. The food looks good and tastes fabulous too. They encourage residents in their hobbies, interests and when feasible do outings. I have found all the staff friendly and keen to help. If you are looking for a swanky home that looks like a hotel this is not the place for you. It is clean and warm with good sized rooms and a homely feel. They treat residents like they are a member of their own family and give support to relatives. I am so glad we choose this home.

My brother and I have always found the staff and accommodation to be of a high standard. The staff are always friendly and on the occasion that we have observed staff caring for other elderly people at the care home, it is plain to see how much they really do care.

Visiting my mother in Oaktree Lodge is a very pleasant experience. You are met at the main entrance promptly by a member of staff who instructed us to carry out a Covid flow test. With a negative result, we were welcomed to enter the Lodge and shown to a reception room to wait for my mother. She and her carer came into the room a few minutes later. Her very cheery carer ensured Mum was settled and comfortable, then left us to our visit. When it was time to go, Mum's carer came without delay and helped her to her feet, then assisted her back to the lounge. I couldn't be happier with Mum's carers.

A very happy and friendly home. I am 88 and I would choose Oaktree Lodge if I needed care. The staff are second to none. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that Oaktree Lodge had no Covid throughout the whole pandemic which I think they worked hard, which is very admirable.

The staff here are amazing - always going above and beyond. Sadly this evening my Nan passed away, they supported her through the night and made sure she, my grandad and myself were comfortable. The staff took great care of my Nan and I am extremely grateful for everything they have done. My Grandad is still at the home and I know he will be looked after.

My father-in-law moved to Oaktree Lodge from hospital in March 2020. Prior to COVID restrictions we were able to visit him and meet with staff and we were very pleased that the hospital team placed him at Oaktree. The staff quickly got to know my father-in-law and helped him adjust to living in a care setting rather than his own home as he initially wanted to go back to his own home.
With the COVID restrictions in place, the management and staff have enabled us to keep in contact with our father-in-law and provided us with update information relevant to his care. I have also attended family meetings via internet connection and it was helpful to meet other family members and the owners of Oaktree.

I have always found the home manager and her team easy to speak with and prompt to respond to queries or update on our father-in-law’s health and well-being.

My mum is a resident at Oaktree Lodge and has been for almost 12 months and I am so pleased with the care and attention they give to my mother.
The staff go above and beyond with keeping me in contact with my mum, zoom calls and garden visits.

I cannot fault them and would highly recommend the home.

I have been very pleased with the level of care that my mother has received since she has been living at the care home. She is well cared for and is happy within the environment.
The care home has a very homely feel about it which I noticed immediately upon my first visit when looking for a home for my mother who suffers from dementia.
The staff and management team are very friendly and there is a lot of interaction between the residents and the carers. The carers are all very helpful and all of the residents seem well looked after.

I would definitely recommend this care home.

I am very happy that Oaktree Lodge looks after my mother with her dementia she is very confused at times and the carers reassure her all the time of where she is. The service is at it's best all of her time she is in residence. I cannot fault the staff and care.

My Mum moved into Oaktree Lodge three years ago and she has found the transition into care a good experience. The girls (staff as she calls them) have always been kind and very caring of her needs. As a family, our minds are at rest knowing that mum is happy in the home. All of the carers are helpful if we ever have any questions regarding mum and never feel a nuisance. Congratulations on an excellent service under difficult circumstances at times in that environment.

I have worked in health and social care for most of my adult life. I've worked as a carer, senior, care coordinator, manager and now a registered manager of Oaktree Lodge. Although I did not set out in life to work in care, it's something that came naturally to me by taking care of loved ones and people around me.

Oaktree Lodge has been a learning curve for me but I'm so proud of it and the culture and friendliness it gives out. Its a loving home where individuals needs are put first and care for in a person-centred way. Its a positive atmosphere and each day is enjoyable. I would be more than happy for my relative to have a place here and be cared for by wonderful carers.
