Worcester Lodge

Worcester Lodge cared for my husband from 2022 until he passed away in July 2026. He had Lewy body dementia with Parkinson's. A very difficult and unpredictable illness. He had such devoted care tailored to his constant needs and management and staff worked constantly to cope and understand his changeable needs. He was fed well and kept scrupulously clean. If he was not well his GP was called and if he fell which he could do without warning he would break skin very easily. The wound was dress daily by nurses called into the home and all care he needed was monitored closely. As well as his very good care I felt the management and staff really showed deep affection for him. Thank you so much Worcester Losge. Iris

I cannot thank everyone at Worcester Lodge enough, for the care & love they have shown my husband for nearly 4 years. Everyone has been so kind, warm & welcoming to both of us, its our Worcester Lodge family my husbands care has always been personalized, at first adapting the activities to suit his needs. He was very fit & active then, He is treated with dignity & patience & compassion nothing is too much trouble. Worcester Lodge is a very special place & a lovely home

I always enjoy my visits to Worcester Lodge. There is a happy calm atmosphere and the staff are friendly and welcoming - as well as being helpful and efficient. I am unable to give an answer to the last three questions below as I am not there to see any of the activities and I am not involved in any money matters.

Very passionate owners + staff. Always polite and welcoming. Very pleased with the care provided to husband, who is happy and settled.

So happy with the care my mother receives here, she is so well looked after by the wonderful staff, they are always there to help in any way .Worcester lodge is always filled with endless smiles & laughter with So many activities & entertainment to occupy the residents . Highly recommend for your loved ones

This was my first Christmas with my father in Worcester lodge. I cannot say how much I appreciated all of their care and attention to make Christmas and the New Year a special event. There were so many events and activities which were stimulating and fun. There was constant care and a huge effort to make the residents enjoy their time. Even though it was busy, the home was still a place of care and refuge and as close to home as can be made. I count our family blessed to have found such a fantastic place.

The Worcester Lodge team create a home my Mum is happy in and we are welcomed to. They exhibit kindness and care and the support for my Mum is fantastic. She is well cared for and has loving caring relationships with the team. And they support us through the day to day challenges with thought and humour.

We visited over Christmas & we were treated with open arms made to feel at home & looked after above & beyond,leaving the home is never easy ,but knowing how well looked after - is makes is easier knowing their in such caring hands. Thank you

My mum is in this care home with dementia, and the care she receives is outstanding. The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate, and it's clear they truly care about the residents. Knowing my mum is treated with dignity and warmth gives our family great peace of mind. I can't thank them enough for everything they do.

Every visit I've made to the home to see my mum. All the staff are friendly, approachable, very professional and patient with the patients. My mum is always clean and well-fed. The home organises entertainment and activities. I was really happy how quickly my mum settled and looked to the staff as her extended family.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's,goes to Worcester Lodge for daycare 2 1/2 days a week. It took a short while for him to settle in and now he is very comfortable. I always know what is going on as there is an app which tells me everything that happens when he is at the lodge. The staff are very communicative and there is always something going on to keep him involved. He goes on outings, walks around the neighborhood and goes outside in the extensive outside area. I am very happy with the standard of care and the wonderful, caring staff. I was at my wits end until I found Worcester Lodge but they have changed both my life and my husband's life.

Overall, my experience at Worcester Lodge is very positive. I only have prior experience of one similar home, so my comparisons would be with this in mind only. My mother is settled and well in her lovely room. She is always taking very positively of the staff. I do wish however that there was more information coming back to me. In the previous home I would receive a weekly update of meals eaten, medication, any injuries/bruises etc, any observations and daily activities. I find this put my mind at rest, whereas currently I am left wondering how my mum is. It's early days however and I will be feeding this back. Also I would like earlier access to and from the home!

The helpfulness of carers when asked any questions, they keep updated on all episodes that relate to my husband. Nothing is too much trouble and always friendly.

Excellent care of my brother. The home goes above and beyond to try to ensure his care is met with eg. extras like silky sheets for turning him. Nothing is too much trouble.

My experience of Worcester Lodge is excellent - the care they provided to my mother, the love they showed, the staff are always smiling and happy to help, the number of activities they do is truly exceptional. The newsletter and social media page just shows how much they put into keeping the residents active in all sorts of ways. My mother passed away in early April and had been bedridden for a number of weeks. The staff were amazing the way they cared for her - whenever I went in she was always in a clean nightie, and clean bed sheets and looked clean and well cared for. They provided a voice assistant for my mum's room so that she could listen to the music she loved and I know staff spent time sitting with her and reading to her or talking to her, even though she could not properly communicate. The manager was truly exceptional - she was always thinking about my mum and how the staff could make her last few weeks the best they could be. I cannot thank her or the staff enough.

When he became ill and needed nursing care, the team nursed him until the end. I was so grateful to them all, for the love and support they showed to the both of us.

Excellent care. Loads of activities for residents. I am happy that my mum is in such a great home. Lots of social media photos from the home which are invaluable. I live a distance away so seeing the posts is great for me.

She is well looked after and she seems to appreciate the calm/peaceful atmosphere at Worcester Lodge. I am grateful to be made to feel welcome whenever I visit.

My mum passed away at The Lodge after nine months of living her best dementia life with the caring staff and other residents. The staff took great care of her as she was prone to falls. It has been a great comfort to us to know that she had such good quality of life whilst at the home.

The thing that really means a lot to me about Worcester Lodge is its social media page for friends and relatives. I live 300 miles away and don't get to see my mum very often. But Worcester Lodge's social media page means I have seen more of my mum in the last 12 months than I have in the last couple of years. Photos of her doing activities, having breakfast, having her nails done, and going for a walk. They mean the world to me. It makes me feel included and welcome. The worry with care homes can be that you cannot always be confident of what happens within the four walls. Worcester Lodge's willingness to share its activities reassures me that my mum is being rightly cherished and is receiving care and stimulus. This means such a lot to me especially as we were slightly apprehensive about her going into a home. The staff are warm and committed and have made us still feel like part of mum's life. I would recommend Worcester Lodge wholeheartedly.
