My Mum has been in Little Croft since August. The care home provides exceptional care in a warm, welcoming environment. The staff are compassionate, attentive, and always go above and beyond to make residents feel valued and comfortable. The home is beautifully maintained, with lovely gardens and excellent food. There's a real sense of community, and families are kept fully informed. It's reassuring to know our loved one is in such capable, caring hands-truly a home from home.

Dad has been resident since July & is pleased with the care he receives. He also likes the food. The staff are very friendly, treat residents with respect & nothing seems to be too much trouble. They keep me informed about any issues, doctor's visits etc. & are happy for residents to be visited at any time.

My Dad had a 6 week respite break which then became permanent at the beginning of March. He is so happy at the care home, he now has people around him that look after him which is what he has needed for such a long time. The staff are amazing, always friendly and more than happy to help. They deal with Dad with utmost respect and provide activities to keep him entertained. The management team keep me informed of any visits by the doctor and any other issues that may arise. When Dad is happy, we are all very happy!

Thank you to all at Little Croft.

Nice care home and staff very friendly and helpful. The care home is very well decorated to give it a home feeling. The only downfall is there is nothing around to take the residents out like for a coffee etc.

Reply from Lisa Fryar, Manager at Little Croft Care Home

Thank you for this kind and lovely review, I look forward to sharing this with the care staff. There is a railway station which has a nice cafe and it is walking distance from the home, if you ask the care staff they will help with directions with the easiest route. Best wishes

My mother first went into the Little Croft Care Home in February 2022 for respite care. However, it quickly became apparent that it would be impossible for my mother to live on her own again, so her stay became permanent.

In total my mother spent three years in the home, she died earlier this month aged 95. During that period she at all times received the most outstanding care. The manager and her team provided the most caring and considerate environment possible. To say my mother was well looked after would be a huge understatement. Often when we visisted she would be sitting in the communal lounge and staff walking by would wave to her to say hello. One important aspect of her care was the quality of the food. My mother always looked forward to her meals and had nothing but the highest praise for the food provided.

We could not have picked a better care home.

My mother moved into Little Croft in December 2024. From day one the care and love she received was exceptional. The team supported my mother for nearly one and half years which gave the family the confidence that mum was safe and cared for. The team at Little Croft supported mum with all her needs, food and medication and with love they accepted if she was difficult from time to time. Mum loved her time in Little Croft. Mum passed away in early March and the family are very grateful to everyone in Little Croft for their support and care.

I was dreading my mum having to go into a care home as this was something she is so against however her health made this her only choice. Well, she just loves it. the staff are just amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent with a good choice. Her general healing and dementia have imported so much since she came to Little Croft. Mum is very happy as I am.

My mother, with dementia, aged 90+ has been at Little Croft for just over a year.
I am an only child living abroad and we have had the ongoing Covid situation, during which my mother was admitted.
I cannot praise the home, the managers and all staff highly enough. They are professional and very kind and thoughtful, not only to my mother but also to me, making my visits as smooth as possible.

Physically the home has its design quirks, as it is an extended ordinary house. But this does not matter, in fact, it reduces the institutional feel and it is the staff that makes the place what it is.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I will pass on your lovely comments to our team, who will be over the moon. Caring is a job done because of a passion to care and look after people, and the staff are always overwhelmed when their hard work and commitment are recognised. Thank you once again for taking the time to write this.

I am proud to say I am the Registered Manager for Little Croft Care Home and I have been in this position for the past 13 years.

Since taking up my role at Little Croft Care Home, I have gained many qualifications, including the Registered Managers Award, as well as a vast amount of experience. My focus is to provide a comfortable and welcoming home that enables residents to feel safe, calm and at ease, with laughter and fun along the way.

Outside of work, I am a wife, mother, grandmother and I adore spending quality time with my family, especially my young grandchildren. I enjoy social evenings, music, reading and walking my 2 dogs Poppy and Rosie.
