Over all time St Clair House has 21 reviews.
From my first phone contact, through the process of her assessment and arranging mother's stay, then our meeting with the team at St Glair, everyone was friendly, kind and caring. We saw first hand how very patient all the team were helping my somewhat "set-in-her-ways" mother.
Clearly this approach was genuine and it continued throughout her stay.
Her room was spotless, freshly painted and the en-suite sparkled!
St Clair had a very homely atmosphere and everyone went out of their way to make her stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
Should the need arise for further care, my mother has said that she would be happy to return to St Clair House.
Thank you to everyone.
We are so pleased to read that your mum had such a wonderful stay at St Clair. This review is lovely to read - thank you for taking the time to write it. I will make sure your kind words are passed on to the whole team.
My father has lived at St Clair for the last 18 months. He has been very happy there. The staff are always friendly and kind, treating residents with respect and warmth. In the last few months of my father's life, the staff really stepped up to make sure Dad was comfortable and his needs met, whether it was helping him be comfortable in his chair or bed, or providing something different that he felt like eating or drinking. I always felt confident leaving him in the hands of senior carers - they reached out for medical support when needed, dealt with difficult situations well and kept me updated. The facilities are good, lovely garden area and sunroom. The only downside was the location of the room upstairs around a few bends which he found tricky to navigate. However he could always ask for help if he wanted to go anywhere. The room itself was lovely, big window and ensuite. Overall a fabulous care home. The warmth, friendliness and consistency of all staff made it feel a home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this lovely review. It really is heart warming to read about the warmth and respect that your father felt. I will ensure your kind words are shared with the whole staff team. Thank you.
I worked in care for many years and was a little anxious about Dad coming in to full time care. St Clair's was recommended by a family member whose in-law had been here for several years and had been very happy here. I feel we have been so fortunate. Everone at St Clair's has been so kind and supportive to Dad as well as us. Dad's had the best possible care and the family are so grateful. All the staff have been lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I can't praise them highly enough. Thank you so much everyone xx
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review. It is so lovely to read your kind words and it means a great deal to all of us. I can understand that you felt anxious about your dads move into care and it is really great to know how reassured you now are and the good standard of care he is receiving. Thank you!

My husband has only been in the home for 11 days but he has settled in extremely well. He is so well looked after. The staff are excellent, so kind & caring, not just to my husband, but to the family as well. The place is home from home, spotlessly clean & his room is spacious yet cosy. A lovely garden space & last of all the food & catering is excellent. We are so glad that we chose St Clair.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review. Your words mean such a lot as our residents are at the heart of all we do. I will make sure that your lovely feedback is shared with the whole team at St Clair.

What a lovely review - thank you so much! I am delighted to hear that you're happy with St Clair. We have a fabulous team and I'll make sure they see your review.
The overall condition of the building is good with only minor signs of wear and tear. Mother has only been in the home for 2 weeks but has already expressed that want to stay. She has shown signs of happiness not visible before. A 5 star award is required for St Clair House.
This review is so lovely to read and a real credit to the staff at St Clair. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. It is wonderful that your mum is so happy and has settled so quickly. I will be sure to share your kind words with the whole staffing team. Thank you.
Mum hasn't been in St Clairs long but the whole experience from assessment to mum moving in has been amazing. The staff are friendly and very caring and anything needs she gets. I no longer have to worry about her as I know she is getting the best care. The staff are lovely with me and my family when we visit, we are made to feel very welcome. Overall I'm so pleased we picked St Clairs for mums care
Your words are a real credit to the team at St Clair. It is really lovely for us to read that your mum is so settled that you no longer need worry. I will make sure your kind words are shared with the staff team. Thank you.
I am delighted with the care provided at St Clair House. From the moment I contacted them with regard to a vacancy, to moving in every stage was completed with compassion, sensitivity and professionalism. I cannot thank the staff at St Clair enough for taking such care of my father. The management are very responsive to emails and work well with external agencies to make sure my father has all his care needs met. He has a lovely light airy room which is clean and tidy. He is very pleased with the choice of food available which is prepared by the homes own chef. His medication is well controlled and monitored. He has enjoyed the company of other residents and has also commented how well all the other care staff have interacted with him. As I live far away from St Clair I cannot visit very often but the management are great and if I ever have a worry or concern I just need to ring or email and they are happy to help. Lovely home, great staff.
This is a lovely review to read and I would like to extend a huge thanks from the whole team for taking the time to complete it. Our residents are at the heart of all we do and whilst it isn't a surprise to read that you were treated with such compassion, sensitivity and care, it is so kind of you to feedback. I will ensure the entire team are aware, Thank you.
My mother has been in this home for 18 months and has been extremely well looked after throughout. The home is always clean and tidy. The staff are polite, friendly and caring. The management have been so helpful and professional. Special mention to the deputy manager who could not have been more helpful throughout all this time. Mum is happy and that is a huge relief. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely review. Your words are so kind and as you know, are residents are at the heart of all we do. It's wonderful to read such a positive review and that your mum is happy. I will make sure that your review is shared with the whole team.
My mum moved into St Clair House a couple of weeks ago following a period of time in hospital. She has settled in really well. I have been very impressed with the staff team - they are welcoming, helpful and extremely kind. The manager and deputy manager are very knowledgeable and have guided me through the whole process of the move. The progress my mum has made in her health since moving into St Clair has been a delight to see. The regular activities organised within the home give opportunities for the residents to meet each other and provide vital stimulation. I live far away and cannot visit as often as I would like but have peace of mind that my mum is in safe hands.
I am delighted to hear that you are and your Mum are happy at St Clair.
I have been so impressed with the care and respect that they have shown her in coping with her numerous care needs but also some complicated personal circumstances.
I have been impressed with how the manager has circumnavigated these issues on my friend's behalf and been so supportive of me and the family in this matter.
I would recommend St Clair House.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. I will pass this onto the whole team.
Dad enjoys the sing-along and the entertainment that the home has.
I am delighted to hear that your dad is happy at St Clair and enjoying the entertainment!
Dad has been a resident for some time now, and we have always been happy with his support. The staff are always very helpful and welcoming, and the manager is very approachable. Dad can be quite difficult at times as he has dementia, but the staff coped very well, and as a family, we are very appreciative of this.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is great to receive feedback. I am delighted that you and your Dad are happy with St Clair.
Want to say a big thank you to all staff at St Clair for their attention to Dad. He is the happiest I have seen him for a while and loves being in the home. Praises the food and staff to anyone he talks to when we go out or any visitors.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. I am delighted to hear that you and your Dad are happy with St Clair.
We congratulate the manager and her deputy on the calibre of their team of carers. The care and compassion shown to our mother were outstanding, and we are so grateful.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. I am so pleased to hear that you are happy with the service at St Clair. The team work incredibly hard. I will pass your lovely comments on.
The carers are always lovely and polite, especially one in particular that always greets us at the door. The bedroom facilities are not good - the mattress is too small for the bed frame and the toilet roll hanging from the commode on string. Glass on stained glass windows missing. But my gran is more comfortable which is the main thing. The food always looks lovely, tidy and clean home. Parking at the front. Decor is a bit dated. But the main thing is my gran is getting good care at a high standard.
Thank you for leaving a review. I am delighted to hear that you are happy with the care provided, however, I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with elements of the room. The manager had not been made aware of your concerns until now. Please know that the manager's door is always open if you...
The home is an old building with a large extension to the rear, which means some of the rooms have access directly to the garden.
An excellent residential home, made so by the staff.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. I will pass this on to the staff.
Luckily we managed to get a temp room at St Clair, and all I can say is what a lucky break that was. The staff are second to none - always polite and willing.
Dad has been on his own for ten years, and I have seen a great improvement in his demeanour.
The company of staff and residence is responsible for this.
I would recommend this care home in a heartbeat.
Well done, one and all.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am delighted to hear that you are so happy with the Home. I will be sure to pass your kind words on to the team.
I can't praise the staff here enough. My mum has Alzheimer's and a number of other problems, but the staff take it all in their stride, nothing is too much trouble. Importantly, Mum is never left out, despite being unable to communicate properly, both staff and other residents always talk to Mum, and you can tell she always seems happy there. My thanks to all at St Clair House.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. I am delighted to hear that you and your Mum are happy with St Clair.
