All the staff at Rowen House are fantastic.
Whenever we visited we knew our gran was in safe hands and being very well looked after. It always was clean, smelt nice and had a homely feel. There was never that feeling of regret when leaving as she was happy there.

My husband has only been in the home for 11 days but he has settled in extremely well. He is so well looked after. The staff are excellent, so kind & caring, not just to my husband, but to the family as well. The place is home from home, spotlessly clean & his room is spacious yet cosy. A lovely garden
space & last of all the food & catering is excellent. We are so glad that we chose St Clair.

My Mother gets wonderful caring with compassion. Her room is lovely and so are the facilities. Activities and days trips are well organised. Senior staff liaise with doctor, then to myself.
Sometimes it's difficult for me to accept my Mother is in care, age and having advanced dementia. Highborder
is the best place for her, she is safe and loved there. Ultimately, my Mother is 'happy '. Excellent communications, which are always Reasurring, I couldn't wish for anything else for my Mother. Thank you Highborder.

Moving Mum into a care home was one of the hardest things we ever had to do, but Rowan House has been a blessing. She settled in beautifully and is genuinely happy, which means the world to us. The staff are warm, compassionate, and treat her with such dignity and care. I'm deeply grateful for the peace
and comfort they've given our family.

My dad has been here for 2 years now and he is receiving good care, seems very settled and in better health than he has been in a long time. He struggled a lot with a difficult diagnosis and transition, without fully understanding what was happening to him, but the care home has become his safe place
and his carers his friends. The staff have to deal with very hard situations with my dad being very tricky at times and I have nothing but respect for them, always professional, friendly and welcoming. Thank you. The grounds of the house are very pleasant too.

Initially we needed respite care for my 85 year old Mum with dementia. We met with staff at the home who came out to make a home visit that same afternoon. Mum was initially very resistant but was soon sensitively talked round to trying out the home. She has been there over 4 mths now and is happy and
thriving. The staff are all so lovely caring full of humour and smiles. Mum can be a challenge but they are patient and regularly update us as to how she is doing. She loves the food

Dad has been here for about 7 weeks now. He settled in quickly, much to our surprise.
He thinks he is in a hotel. Everywhere is spotless, the staff are very caring and friendly.
We are regularly kept informed of any concerns and Dr's visits etc.
Open visiting hours means we can visit Dad whenever
we like. We are always offered tea or coffee, on arrival, presented on a tray with a plate of biscuits.
I cannot fault the care and support received and would recommend the Care Home to anyone with a family member with dementia.

Our experience of the staff care is exceptionally good. They are always happy and helpful with any questions we have. The staff are always well structured and are always on hand for the needs of residents and visitors.
The overall condition of the building is good with only minor signs of wear and
tear. Mother has only been in the home for 2 weeks but has already expressed that want to stay. She has shown signs of happiness not visible before. A 5 star award is required for St Clair House.

I first viewed Longview Nursing Home in November 2024 when I was distraught as I hadn't been able to find an appropriate home for my Mum.
As soon as I walked in I felt a relief come over me - the team gave me all the information I needed and more than that confidence that my Mum would be looked after
in a safe environment.
From the moment I was told that there was a room available the Longview team made the whole process, transfer from hospital to Longview seamless. Believe me the hospital were not helpful and the team just organised everything.
Mum passed away January 2025 and I thank Longview every day for being there for Mum and our family.
