Courtlands Care Home staff have got to know Mum really well and I have no doubt that she is well cared for. They have a great, professional relationship with the local GP practice so I know all her medical needs are met too. Being able to access the 'Nourish' site enables us to stay informed with her day-to-day care and reassures us that she is well looked after. Staff respond to our questions or concerns and are quick to sort out any minor issues. Their management during covid has meant whilst visits have been harder, especially during lockdowns, we have still been able to see her whenever we could and staff have been great at enabling us to do so whilst still following guidelines. Their outdoor garden and surrounding area makes this much easier and indeed the garden is one reason why we picked the home for Mum - she loves being outside. I'd be very happy to recommend the care home to other families.

Mum has a lovely room overlooking the garden area. Mum is well cared for by all the staff members who treat her with respect and care for her demanding needs due to her illness (dementia).
I take great comfort in knowing that she lives safely in Courtlands Care Home.

I happily recommend Courtlands to all who need their loved ones to be kept safe, well and care for.

At 95 had dealings with a number of homes. Management very good, staff best yet.
Plenty of space to sit (more than most homes). Requests are done without delay or fuss.

One of the better homes.

My cousin was deeply distressed at having to go into a care home. Courtlands Care Home staff have been wonderful. Very kind and respectful and she is now very happy and values the staff so much.
The home is clean, very comfortable and nothing is too much trouble.

I cannot recommend Courtlands highly enough.

Naturally, it was a wrench leaving my home but I was immediately made welcome here. All the staff are friendly, kind and efficient. I have my own room with private facilities, which is excellent, I have some of my own furniture; paintings and family photographs on the walls and ornaments on display. My family visit frequently and contact me by phone and 'FaceTime'. I am very happy and comfortable. I have my own television, tablet and disc player in my room, so I have connections with the outside world.

Courtlands Care Home has a first-class management team and is well organised with kind carers and a family atmosphere. I have not seen all the rooms. Mine (with a bathroom) is excellent. Those I have seen are all of high standard. Friends visiting me kept saying how incredibly clean everything is.
Before lockdowns, the variety of activities was excellent. When lockdowns permitted and social distancing was possible, some have continued. I'm sure they will increase as safety permits.

I know I am fortunate to live in Courtlands, a very pleasant home to end my days.

Through these difficult times, we feel the home has coped extremely well. Mother feels at home and seems very content. The staff have always been very kind and helpful with all our enquiries; Mum is in good hands! Cost is always a concern, but we are all managing at this time. Thank you all!

My mum spent the last 20 months of her life at Courtlands Care Home and although I was only able to visit infrequently even in the first year due to my residential location, I visited mum on around half a dozen occasions. She was always well looked after and very well liked by all the staff.
If at anytime there were any issues, Courtlands would phone me straight away and discuss the situation with me and would always be resolved satisfactorily; not that anything was ever major, usually Mum's dental needs or similar.

So I can only have nothing but praise for all the care provided to my mum during her time at Courtlands.

My father was a resident at Courtlands for seven months before passing away. During that time he was treated with respect and dignity. He was loved and cared for by everyone he came into contact with within the home. It was hard not to be able to visit him in the home during the COVID pandemic even though we could visit him in the garden. Despite this, it was a huge comfort to us as a family to know that he had a second “Courtlands” family who cared for him so much. Thank you.

The staff and management are outstanding. Well tuned in to everyday life within the home. Always happy, caring, conscientious, helpful, and understanding the resident's needs. And now adapting to the Covid pandemic. I cannot fault them and am so glad they were able to look after my mother. She needed care and attention, me and my siblings couldn’t provide.

I cannot speak too highly of Courtlands Care Home at Rosudgeon. The management, staff and the home are excellent. There is always a very friendly welcome to visitors and the staff are well trained and respectful to every resident. They freely demonstrate kindness and consideration and provide residents with reassurance and encouragement. The care home is very well maintained to a high standard.

I don't live close (300 miles away) so it's important to have trust in the home. Not once have I came away feeling slightly unhappy at leaving mum there as I know she'll be well cared for, in fact, this time I left feeling she was being cared for in a superb family atmosphere. I have been impressed with the way all the staff interact with the residents (not all of whom are always straightforward and easy) and with each other.

My wife stayed at Courtlands for the first time for a two week respite break. The staff welcomed her and made her feel at ease.
Everything was very good and she felt relaxed very soon.

For any further respite care, she would like to go to Courtlands where she felt safe, secure and welcomed.

On arrival at Courtlands, I was greeted with warm smiles and eager carers who helped me with my luggage. the manager and deputy manager escorted me to my charming, cosy room. I was totally overwhelmed. Courtlands is so beautifully managed, it is spotless, food well thought, planned menus, staff that are always loving and kind, great activities. I can't find fault with the home, it bursts with love and care. Definitely deserves 5 stars!
