Bluebell House Care Home

Good afternoon KJ. We have spoken on the telephone. As was discussed at that time it's really important at the pre-admission stage that all information relating to an individual's care needs are disclosed. On occasions such information is withheld for fear that a desired placement will refuse the admission. Sadly, the most likely outcome is that the placement very quickly breaks down as it's not suitable for the resident or the care home. Our Care Home Manager at Bluebell House, and her Deputy Manager and Care Team, are excellent and always available. You have raised a number of other issues but we have only a limited number of characters to reply. I'll sign off by saying that we do not feel your complaints are justified and that the care provided to your Mum was excellent. You are, of course, most welcome to take a complaint to the CQC and we will assist them with any information that they may request. We hope your Mum settles in well at her new Care Home. Good morning Joanna. Thank you for leaving this really lovely and personal review of your experience with our care team and care home at Bluebell House in Westward Ho! North Devon. It's always really nice when people recognise the importance of our care teams in this way - they are - of course - at work but, whilst working in a highly regulated and formalised care environment - they nonetheless create an atmosphere that is homely and person focussed. That's some achievement and, as you say, it's the result of treating people, well, as people! Thank you also for recognising that the home is well managed, there is, indeed, a mountain of administration behind the scenes and the home manager and her management team have this all well under control. Hello M S. Thank you for taking the time to write and post this really positive review of your experience with our Donnington House Care Home and Care Team in Westward Ho! North Devon. We're all really pleased that your friend is fully satisfied with the care and support that he receives at the home. With regards to the room - residents are able to choose their room. Our fees are charged as a room rate and a care package rate. If he would like to change rooms this can be facilitated, as a desired room comes available, though there might be an increase in the weekly fee should the preferred room have a higher room rate attached to it.
