Over all time Kenwyn has 36 reviews.
The care staff that I have met were kind and helpful but there are not enough. Residents sometimes have to wait for a very long time for anyone to answer their bell. I appreciate carers can be tied up with a resident who is unable to do anything for themselves but my friend is paying for a service she is not getting.
We are pleased to hear that you have found our care staff to be kind and helpful. However, we are sorry to learn of your concerns regarding response times to call bells.
Please be assured that we make every effort to respond to residents...
My wife Pamela has been in Kenwyn Care Home since October, myself and family visit regularly and have found maanger and all staff very kind and helpful, they have beene excellent in their care for my wife as she has advanced dementia and is not the easiest of patients to look after, but they looked after her well, so I've got nothing but praise for all of them.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It is a pleasure to support your wife. I will pass your kind words to our team.
Thank you again for the last year of care
Hi Sallyann. Thankyou so much for your review. It is an absolute pleasure to support your mum. I will pass on your kind words to our team who will be thrilled with such positive feedback.
My grandad recently moved to this care home from another home due to his needs. The staff have been absolutely brilliant making sure he is settling in ok and making it feel more like home for him. One of the team leaders has especially gone out her way to make sure he is doing ok which I appreciate. We also went to their end of summer bash and it was absolutely brilliant and well organized it was lovely to see my grandad getting up and dancing and the other residents too. I feel like a is weight lifted off my shoulders knowing he is well looked after.
Hi Grace. Thankyou so much for your lovely review. We are so happy that your grandad has settled in so well. The team will be thrilled with this amazing feedback.
The very short time my friend was in Kenwyn I couldn't complain on the way he was cared for, especially as my friend wasn't the easiest of the patients to care for. The staff were wasn't available to give me updates and very caring toward him- even when he wasn't nice to them. I must say the manager was always ready to assist me if I had any concerns.
Thankyou for your kind review. I will pass this on the team.
Small amounts of different textures and consistency. All staff we met were very compassionate and always answered telephone calls we made to ask about our family member as we knew she was approaching end of life
Thankyou so much for your positive feedback. It was a honour to support you all through such a difficult time. I will will pass your review onto our team.
My dad has not been well, but I know he is being looked after really well. I can see they really care about my dad, and make sure he is comfortable. Which gives me peace of mind. There are some wonderful people working at Kenwyn.
Thankyou so much. It is an honour and a pleasure to support you both. The team will be thrilled with your review.
Now, when we visit her at Kenwyn, we see a remarkable transformation. She is comfortable, happy, and, most importantly, free from fear. The management and staff carry out their responsibilities with professionalism, but what truly sets them apart is their warmth and kindness. Their caring and friendly approach not only reassures our mother but also provides us, her family, with peace of mind-knowing she is in safe hands.
Though the home is not new, it is consistently clean, tidy, and well-maintained. We will always be deeply grateful to Kenwyn for providing our mother with a safe and nurturing place to call home.
Thankyou for you kind words. It is always an honour and a pleasure to support you mother. Our team will so proud to read your review.
A friendly, clean and happy home with helpful staff and engaging management. I was last present when the home had entertainment and the residents were singing and dancing with the staff and other visitors. I visit monthly and always receive a warm welcome.
Thankyou so much for kind review. I will pass on your lovely review to our team who I am sure will be thrilled.
Mum went into respite in Kenwyn for a short stay as she has early dementia. Mum found it overwhelming at times and ultimately chose to go home. but whilst there the staff went above and beyond to help her. I cannot recommend there highly enough. If mum needs care in the future she would readily choose Kenwyn!
Thankyou so much for your kind review. The team will be thrilled with such positive feedback. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like us to assist you again.
I cannot praise this care home enough; I am fortunate to have never had to experience being in a care home before my granny joined Kenweyn in January 2022. The care they provided not only for my granny but also for our family. Even though I wasn't able to see her as often as I would have liked, if I called, they were always happy to answer questions and lend an ear to my beautiful memories of her. There is a genuine sense of community that you perceive the moment you walk through the door. All of the careers are amazing, and I'm sure Granny would have been very pleased with the care she received. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Kenwyn for looking after my granny for the past two and a half years and always having a shoulder or tissue to cry on.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and kind words. It was an honour and a pleasure to support your wonderful granny. We will always be here if you need us. This kind review will mean the world to our team. Thank you.
The home is warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My sister has gained weight due to the plentiful and tasty food. My sister enjoys the planned activities and is very much at home able to access all parts of the home safely. Staff always have time to talk to her and to listen to any concerns that I may have. There is a consistent staff team which gives continuity of care. I am very happy with Kenwyn and do not think my sister would receive better care anywhere else.
Thank you so much for for your lovely review. We are so glad to hear that your sister and you are happy with our service. The team will be thrilled with your wonderful feedback.
I would really to say that this is the best place for my mum. Every time I visit Mum she is always smiling and happy and always cheerful. She loves all the staff. She enjoys interacting I feel that Kenwyn is my second family.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review. We are so glad that you and your mum are happy with the service. Our team will be thrilled with this wonderful feedback.
I visit my sister-in-law 3/4 times each week, and almost without exception she is sitting in her chair either sleeping or staring into space. Sometimes she is dressed but often in her pyjamas: with time and encouragement she will participate in a simple game/drawing or jigsaw, but mostly just gets lost in conversation about her situation at Kenwyn. I do find it difficult to get into and out of Kenywn - long waiting times for someone to come to the door - I guess there is a staff shortage.
Thank you for your review. There may sometimes be a delay in answering to visitors especially during busy periods. We are consistently fully staffed and have very good staff retention across all departments. We have an open-door policy and the team are always available and happy to discuss any issues with individual resident needs.
Fantastic place, the staff is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Mum is happy and safe. I wouldn't want her anywhere else.
Thank you for your kind review. We are glad your mum is happy and the team will be thrilled with your review.
Friendly atmosphere, staff seem kind, nice and clean, in a nice location with a lovely entertainment lady.
Thank you so much for your kind review, we will be sure to cascade this with the team.
On all of my visits, I have found the staff very friendly and the food is excellent.
Thank you for your kind review. We are glad to receive such positive feedback on our service.
Kenwyn is home from home. It feels like home as soon as you walk through the door. The carers are lovely and do their utmost to make sure the residents are happy and comfortable. The manager is superb and goes out of his way to make sure that relatives as well as residents are happy and that nothing is too much trouble for him. I couldn't have made a better choice for my mum.
Thank you for your lovely review. At Kenwyn, we are committed to providing high-quality care, and your feedback is really valuable in helping us with our ongoing quality assurance. Our team will be thrilled and proud of your feedback.
My mother has resided in Kenwyn for the past 18 months. I really cannot speak highly enough of the care my mother receives at the home. The staff cannot do enough for her, and nothing is too much trouble. On the 17th of November, my mother reached the ripe old age of 100 years; the home put on the most amazing party for her with all our family around her. Thanks for everything to the manager and staff.
Thank you for this lovely review. 100th birthdays are always to be celebrated, and your mother had a really good party. She got her birthday card from King Charles and was on the front page of the local newspaper - she was talking about it for days!
The staff are dedicated, caring and accepted all of my mum's individual needs and made ger feel cared for, safe and a in home-from-home, relaxed environment. The freshly prepared food also of a very high standard, which Mum loved.
