I have lived here for 3 years now and think this is a nice place to live. The staff are very good and I feel that I can talk to them about anything. The food is very good and we have even more choices now, along with good portion sizes.

I stayed at Asher Care for a few weeks and found all the staff caring and patient. They were always willing to help and to have a chat. The management answered any questions I had. I felt safe at all times. I would highly recommend Asher Care.

I’ve been living at Asher Care for about 3 months and could not be happier. All the staff and management are extremely caring and attentive to all residents. The home is clean and warm, the food is very good and plentiful. If I would like refreshments between meal times I only have to ask. I have never
heard a bad word said by any of my fellow residents against the staff or Asher care home in general. In fact I have only heard how happy people are. I would recommend Asher care home to everyone.

Everything about this care home is good. The staff are good, the food is nice and there's lots of choices, especially recently!
I have a flat to myself which is alright, better than being on the streets!
I would recommend this home.

My mum was until recently a resident at Asher Care. At first, we felt confident with Mum staying here but slowly throughout her stay it was evident that staff were disconnected, didn’t communicate with families and showed little empathy. I understand the difficulty of these homes during Covid times,
however, these are the times when people aren’t able to see their loved ones as frequently as they would like, communication is key to reassurance.
Overall disappointed in this home and would not recommend it. I can’t comment on mum's care, as I never was never able to enter the home or witness any care given. However they wanted mum out after nine months in a huge hurry as could no longer meet her needs, the pressure put on us as a family was immense. The whole thing was treated extremely unprofessionally. I would never want anyone else to experience such a lack of compassion!
Glad to say mum already a lot happier in her new home and we feel confident she is being looked after well.

We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
