Thank you for your honest feedback. As far as I am aware, the concerns you have mentioned have not been formally raised to the management team so please feel confident in using our internal feedback and complaints systems if you wish. I also warmly invite you to have a conversation with me personally at your convenience. All feedback helps us to improve the service given to our residents and their families and I hope to use your feedback in a positive step. We endeavour to make adhoc visiting and/or day visits as pleasurable and meaningful as possible, so I am disappointed you have not found this to be so. Thank you again for your feedback.

I found the home very welcoming when we visited prior to my Mum moving in (August 2018). Since then I have made many visits and find all of the staff friendly and helpful. There are many activities planned for the residents to keep their minds and bodies active. Also, the events including family members (eg., Christmas party) have been very good. My Mum is very happy to have support when required, and her general well-being provides me with peace of mind.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. It is a pleasure to welcome you into Rose Lawn and we thank you for your continued support.

Extremely good break at Rose Lawn. Well fed, no need to suffer in silence and moan afterwards! Staff organising games, fun or quiet time if required. I was fortunate enough to be booked in over Easter, to give my daughter a rest. Being restricted over chocolate and cheese I was given a beautiful bouquet of flowers - not to eat of course but to put in the lounge for everyone to enjoy. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your Easter with us and had a good experience. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
I am 98 and have stayed here short term twice. I have no complaints, staff always friendly and helpful. I have passed this on to anyone due to come here. It is exceptional for staff to be arranging theatre and beach outings as well as shopping in the big stores in our local town.

This home is situated near a holiday resort so it has both small town and seaside in walking distance. Those of us who can move around can go around town and beach with the assistance of one of the carers. Most of us have become friends as it is a smaller residence than some. Friends and family can come by train as well as road so we are able to have easy contact with family and friends, very important to those of us who aren't very mobile. The staff, accommodation and food is excellent. We each have our own toilet and bathroom which is very important. This is my third home due to movement, so I have comparisons.

I came here in November 2017 because my mobility was failing. They have been very kind helpful and caring. The food is excellent in fact too good and I have put on two stone since I have been here. There is a lot of fattening food. There is an alarm system which works fairly well. Sometimes some of the younger carers don't always do what they say they will and in cases like this they do not always report back to say why they did not do the request.
Staff always welcoming. Clean and tidy building. Residents well cared for. Happy atmosphere.

My sister and I live several hours away from Sidmouth and we were reassured that our mother was well looked after. Never was there more time than during her final illness when the staff's care, compassion and respect for my mother's dignity made her passing as peaceful as possible for both her and her family.

My mother spent her final 16 months of her 93 years in Rose Lawn. She could not have been happier or better cared for. When her dementia meant she could no longer live alone, we never imagined we could find somewhere so amazing as Rose Lawn. We will be forever grateful that she was able to stay and be nursed in Rose Lawn during her final short illness. All the staff are fantastic. Thank you, Rose Lawn.
I came to Rose Lawn after a spell in hospital to recuperate. After 4 weeks, I decided I would prefer to stay at Rose Lawn for the foreseeable future rather than return home relying on part-time daily carers. I have not regretted that decision to date.

I found Rose Lawn very welcoming - residents friendly, meals homely. My room overlooks the garden surrounded by trees. We are provided with entertainment which is varied. Also we can go out - walk along the seafront and imagine we are on holiday. Couldn't be better.

The care provided for Mum is very thoughtful and really excellent in every way- the staff are always so very considerate and kind and respectful. It is huge for me and my whole family to be able to completely trust that Mum is being looked after by the whole staff team consistently 24/7. I always...
I speak to Mum at least once a day on her private room phone and she regularly makes a grateful and appreciative remark about the staff or the care - this is high praise indeed from a lady who is not afraid to say it like it is if things are not up to scratch. Well done Rose Lawn and all who make it what it is - excellent. Thank you.
