Rose Lawn is a charming property, a pleasant place to live and visit and an ideal choice for a wide range of care needs.

Carers are skilled in a variety of nursing needs, help residents to practice independent living and enjoy the activities residents wish to pursue.

The care provision is based on a strong Christian ethos, while carers are trained to take a holistic approach and in achieving best practice.

Rose Lawn hosts Holy Communion once a month, and is also able to provide support to those wishing to attend church.

Rose Lawn provides respite that can be booked in advance and allows carers or family some rest whilst their loved ones are looked after in a kind, caring way.

Rose Lawn overlooks the rugby field and has a shaded seating area where you can sit and enjoy the view or even watch a game of rugby.

In the garden, residents can sit and enjoy the water features and the lovely flowers that surround the sensory garden.

Rose Lawn offers many activities from weekly Pilates sessions to caking club and flower arranging

There is a wide range of entertainers who visit each month. Each year Rose Lawn holds a Summer Party and a Christmas Party, where all family and friends are welcome.

Rose Lawn has monthly visits from Grace the therapy dog, who is happy to provide big fluffy cuddles to those that want them.

My mother has been a resident in Rose Lawn care home since September 2013. I frequently visit her and I am always impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the home and the kind, caring attitude of all the carers.
It is a pleasure to visit such a happy place and the atmosphere
is very homely. The kitchen staff are always willing to provide cups of tea or coffee for visitors, or meals if you wish. In the case of illness, the staff are kind, patient and attentive. My mother frequently falls over and she receives far more attention here than she would elsewhere, nothing is too much trouble. This is a lovely home. I am so pleased I found it.

On my visit, the staff are always helpful to both visitors and residents. They also appear to be very caring towards the residents and give a general impression of efficiency and professionalism. I find the home has a happy atmosphere.
The rooms, both public and private, are clean and tidy and to be
honest, I am very impressed by the operation as a whole.

My mother in law has been at Rose Lawn for two and a half years and as a family we have been very impressed with her care during that time.
she is always treated with respect despite increasing problems with dementia. Staff are friendly and caring. Management is professional and detailed in their drawing
up of care plans. Facilities at the home are constantly changing for the better, with a new call system, lift and redecoration of the lounge in recent months. Activities are innovative and appropriate.
The food is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and visitors to residents are all welcomed into a warm and friendly family this is Rose Lawn.
A big thank you to all staff.

My mum, and each resident, is treated with kindness and respect. There is a happy atmosphere in the home. Residents are immaculately dressed and helped to look their best. There is an excellent programme of activities. My mum's health is well monitored and the home communicates with her family.

Mum came to Rose Lawn at the end of February beginning of March. The home made her very welcome and comfortable. Mum is so much happier as she can interact with other people rather than a lonely existence at home. There are lots of activities to keep her occupied and her mind active. The rooms are clean
and tidy with mementoes from home. The staff are friendly and caring and nothing is too much trouble. In fact it's so nice I want to move in.

It is symptomatic for an old person to resist change in particular when moving from their own home to a care home. As my wife and I were going to Australia for a month we could not oversee her care at her own flat so moved her to Rose Lawn on the basis of it being a holiday and that she could go home
on our return. The holiday completely transformed her! When we returned she had decided that she wished to remain at Rose Lawn. Undoubtedly this was due mainly to the care and kindness she has received from all the staff. I am full of admiration for the way the residents are looked after and the enjoyment and interest of all the staff in their work.

My mother first went into Rose Lawn for a months respite care as my husband and I were visiting family in Australia. She was somewhat reluctant to go as she was not sure what to expect and intended to return to her flat after the month. However on our return, she was so happy and felt so much at home
and well cared for that she chose not to return to her flat but decided she would much prefer to remain at Rose Lawn. It is such a relief that my formerly anxious mother is now so contented and feels safe and I cannot thank the staff enough. They are always friendly, kind and cheerful and there is a wonderful atmosphere- it is a pleasure to visit.

It is hard to overestimate how wonderful this home is. A year ago my mother would have been appalled at the thought of being in a home, but she thoroughly enjoys her life here. The care (and all staff) are so kind, caring and thoughtful, they all have a genuine desire to make their residents comfortable
and happy. The Christmas party was a very special occasion with superb food, a quiz, and then exhibition dancing. All of the residents and guests had a truly amazing time but as important as this the carers looked as though they were thoroughly enjoying themselves- this is what makes the atmosphere so relaxed and happy. My mother loves the fact that she can join her friends for the delicious meals or she can have them in her room if she prefers. There is a wide range of very suitable entertainments, debates quizzes, art, music and visitors.

We are extremely happy with the care my mother has received at Rose Lawn over many years. The rooms are pleasant and all the facilities are kept clean and tidy. The staff provide excellent care, are very kind and patient, and go out of their way to provide personal care to a very high standard. The
home has a Christian ethos which our mother appreciates adding to the kind and caring atmosphere. The location is close to the shops and with a flat walk to the sea front allows residents who are independent to enjoy living in Sidmouth. We would recommend this residential home to anyone and would be happy for other members of our family to stay there.

I came here to recover from a major operation. The fact that I leave here looking 'amazingly well' is due to the real pleasure of care I have received at Rose Lawn. Everyone from the senior to junior members of staff have been excellent, such lovely people. I am sorry to say goodbye to all, thank you.

My Mother had the pleasure of living here until recently. I support the other positive reviews here; it is indeed a safe, loving and caring place for a loved one. How they seem to attract the kindest and most motivated staff I have had the privilege to observe I don't know. When my Mum became very ill,
I needed to visit at all hours of the day from London. I was always made welcome. Never did I witness any resident being treated in any other way than with warmth and as an individual. It may not have the swankiest rooms or biggest car park in the world but the can-do ethos of this incredible place more than makes up for this.

Christina is the manager at Rose Lawn and her positive approach to any problem is known to provide a calming presence over the whole community. Christina has 13 years of experience working in the care sector and has held positions such as Night Carer and Team Leader. Her biggest achievement would be completing her NVQ in Health and Social Care. In her free time, Christina enjoys taking her dog, Mambo on walks and attending concerts.

Kathryn is in charge of the activity programme at Rose Lawn, as well as social media. She has worked in the care industry for over 15 years, and in every department from Team Leader to Kitchen Assistant.
