My experience hear so far has been great, I get an update of my grandads daily care and how he is feeling weather he is up or down, content or upset, and that helps me understand how he is and just have an awareness of his wellbeing is great and it's great to see this place has a certain amount of residents
in the building which doesn't make it overwhelming for everyone, very calm and grandad is very well looked after so I'm happy so far and also the Manager who is just amazing and recommend to many if they choose to come hear

I cannot say in words how kind and caring all the staff here are. The manager is amazing not only to residents but to family also the staff go above and beyond to ensure everyone is cared and loved for in every way. The activities are brilliant even a visit from the local horse riding stables arranged
what an amazing thing to do for all the residents.
Nothing is to much trouble brilliant in every way. My mum has been here for just over a year now and the care and dedication she receives from all who work there brings a tear of joy to me everyday

I had been my mums main carer for 15 months and could no longer do it. I was very worried about her going into a home. She has been in Fair Havens for 10 months now and I needn't have worried. Everyone is very caring, nothing is too much trouble. As soon as you walk in you are warmly welcomed and it
has a really peaceful and friendly atmosphere. I can't thank all the staff and management enough for looking after my mum. I can now be her daughter again and not her carer. Thank you.

They take very good care of her and keep me totally up-to-date with her progress and her well-being. There is a beautiful garden that she can sit in when the weather is good . I am

My friend entered Alexander House in January 2023. Through to Easter 2024 a series of management changes took place which, at times, resulted in a lack of focus on organisation. Since Easter 2024 a new management team has been in place resulting in a marked improvement in all aspects of provision.
Throughout
my friend's residence his everyday carers have been consistently kind and thoughtful. I find them well informed about his care and health needs. They are professional. The Home is welcoming to visitors. I am received warmly and cheerfully by name. The food provided is very good and well prepared. It conforms to my friend's dietary needs and his preferences. My friend is settled in one of the larger rooms which enjoys a pleasant aspect. The room is comfortable and well maintained. My friend is happy residing in the Home. This is confirmed when I ask him and in the way he responds to his carers.

An amazing atmosphere for supported living. All staff that I have encountered have been empathetic and helpful, encouraging and enabling residents to lead a life that encourages socialisation and practical independence when appropriate to the individuals capabilities and needs. The friendly staff dispense
"care" with an emphasis on personalisation which is ideal as individuals preferences and needs vary greatly. Well done to all involved.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister has been a resident for a number of years and the staff have worked hard and sensitively to adapt to her changing needs. The manager consults with the family whenever an issue arises and is always available to discuss concerns. The atmosphere in the home is warm and welcoming. The range of
activities offered to residents continues to grow and family members are encouraged to attend coffee mornings and other special events. I feel that my sister is well cared for and seen as an individual with her own personality, including some challenging behaviour in the past. She is treated professionally and with compassion and our whole family is reassured that she is safe and sound in Alde House.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I had no idea of what to expect when I arrived and was introduced to some of the staff. So many names to remember. After 24 hours I found that I was comfortable when I entered the lounge and the dining room and joined other residents. The only problem I had with my room was the lack of hot water in
the bathroom which was quickly put right by the maintenance staff when they obtained the necessary parts. The most impressive feature of Rosemary Mount was the caring attitude of the staff towards the residents, some of who had serious problems. Generally everybody got on well together and meal times were something to look forward to. There is not much room on the review to give a broader outline of my experience but thank you for looking after me during my two week stay. Best wishes to the staff.

Rose Lawn

Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Rose Lawn has been home for my mum for five months now. It is an exceptional place. Knowing that Mum has first-class care 24 hours a day is priceless.
It is clear how much staff put residents' wishes and needs at the heart of what they do. Residents are consulted on a wide range of issues, from choosing
their menu and giving feedback on activities to having input into Summer and Christmas fayres.
The range of activities organised every week is amazing. From crafts, hymn singing, Pilates, musical performances, and quizzes to dance demonstrations, there's never a dull moment (but no pressure to join in if it's not your thing).
The location of Rose Lawn couldn't be better. It is on the flat and a short walk into town. My mum even gets to watch rugby matches from her room! The home is well maintained and definitely does not have a "care home" feel (or smell!) about it. The residents can even enjoy the company of a couple of pets.
Thank you to every member of the Rose Lawn staff for what you do.
Reply from Christina Williams, Registered Manager at Rose Lawn

We take great pride in offering a wide range of activities and ensuring that residents have a say in their daily lives and special events. It's also fantastic to hear that the location and environment of Rose Lawn are contributing to your mum's comfort and enjoyment. Your kind words about our staff and the care they provide mean a lot to us. We will be sure to share your appreciation with the entire team. Unquestionably Rose Lawn is a happy home where every effort is made to ensure the well-being of residents. The staff comes across as a well-managed, united team, happy to walk the extra mile. The food is excellent in terms of both quality and quantity and activities are appropriate to the needs of the
limited number of residents able to take part.
My views are based on a recent respite stay. Should the need arise I would look to Rose Lawn again with confidence.

In the time my Gran was there, she was always happy with her care and complimentary of the team. They looked after her with care and compassion. As she entered her last days, they really made things as easy for us as a family, as they possibly could. They were with her as much as possible when we weren't
able to be with her and I know that Gran will have felt loved and cared for in her last days.
After her passing, they were understanding and supportive. I was very grateful to the whole team.
