My father-in-law moved here in September and I have nothing but good to say about his time at Sainthill House. Prior to this, he was in two other homes which left a lot to be desired. From the owner and manager downwards, all the staff are very polite and friendly, constantly engaging with all the residents, which is lovely to see. It really is a home from home atmosphere and we always leave him safe in the knowledge, he is being very well looked after. The genuine and ongoing support of the Sainthill team makes this difficult dementia journey much easier.
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review card and for the lovely comments. It is so rewarding to hear how happy you are with the care your loved one is receiving and that they and you are both happy with how he is being supported at Sainthill. It is both a privilege and a pleasure...
All that matters to me is that Dad is safe, well-cared for and as happy as someone with Alzheimer's at 90 years old can be. Sainthill House provides all of the elements to ensure this, from the management downwards a service is provided beyond excellence. Professional, caring and total investment in the residents is evident and constant. Clean, homely surroundings with food and drink on tap adds to the overall fantastic experience for Dad. This is not just a "Care home" but a real home with a family feel. Ded can relax if he wants or enjoy numerous activities on a daily basis. Thank you, all at Sainthill House.
Thank you so much for taking the time to submit a review and for your lovely comments. The team always work hard to ensure the service we provide is person-centred and that every resident is supported in an individualised way and that their experience of living at Sainthill feels like home from home, so it is really positive to know that is how it feels for you when you visit your Dad.
My sister recently moved into Sainthill House. We were all made to feel very welcome from day one. Her room had been decorated and personalised especially for her, which was a lovely touch and made her feel special. Sainthill House is a really unique place and feels very much a home, residents are able to move freely around and mix together socially. The atmosphere is incredibly warm, friendly and relaxed whilst providing a very high standard of care and supervision at all times. Everyone of the team recognise each resident and offer personalised care required for that individual. Activities and stimulation are provided by a team of committed staff who encourage independence whilst providing a safe and healthy environment. My sister has flourished in the short time she has been there and is extremely happy and relaxed, which gives me peace of mind knowing she is safe, happy and well cared for. Thank you to all the staff.
Thank you so much for taking the time to submit a review and your feedback is important to us The team at Sainthill are very committed and we are always looking at ways to improve the quality of the service we provide. Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and we are really pleased that your grandmother is happy living at Sainthill.
My friend came to stay at Sainthill at a very difficult time and was made to feel so comfortable there - the staff really made him feel at ease and provided very kind care. The home might not be the most fancy or spacious but the atmosphere is so friendly and warm and that is what really matters.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and recognising the amazing work the team at Sainthill provide ensuring the experience for those living at Sainthill is a happy and positive one.
My uncle moved here in a very poor way and within two weeks was a different man. I put this down to the kindness and care of the whole team of Sainthill. Totally compassionate and great communication.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and for your kind words. It was a pleasure to provide care and support to your uncle and to meet you and we wish you and your uncle all the very best for the future.
In my experience since my brother was admitted he has had first-class care. The manager and all the staff have taken great care of him. I would certainly recommend Sainthill House for their brilliant care.
His love of the carpenters and football and the stories of his footballing days will be remembered by the team for a long time to come.
Sainthill House and staff always very welcoming and have a very relaxed atmosphere. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Residents are at ease to go about the home as they please. Food of high standard and every resident likes and dislikes catered for. The residents have access to refreshments and snacks as and when they wish. Residents, family and friends are encouraged to be involved with activities and care plans.
I am extremely happy with how they provide for my wife. The carers do a good job of looking after my wife and providing for all her care needs and stimulation.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review card and for your positive feedback; it is always very rewarding for the team to be recognised for how well they not only provide care but that they really do want to make a difference.

It’s not easy so well done Sainthill House.
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review and for such lovely comments.
The staff are very kind to Mum. They are so good to her. I couldn't be happier.
I am really happy to hear that you are happy with the care your mum receives and it is an absolute pleasure to be able to provide care and support to such a lovely lady who has the most amazing sense of humour.
Sainthill House and all the staff provide exceptional care for not only my Mum but for all of its residents and their families. We are constantly kept informed on how Mum is and she is content and happy. It is very much a home for Mum who is treated with so much respect. Today Sainthill are having a fete and I am astounded by the energy that has been shown to coordinate this on top of the workload that comes with the care requirements. This is above and beyond and thoroughly outstanding. Thank you.
Thank you.
My sister's needs are complex and difficult to meet but Sainthill House does more than I thought possible for her. She is monitored very closely and action is immediately taken when needed. I am kept very well informed of her condition. The care home environment is attractive and stimulating for residents and visitors feel immediately welcome and at home. Residents are consulted over all aspects of their life e.g. meal choice, hour of rising, etc. My sister is happy here and we would both be upset if she had to leave. We have experienced two other homes over the years. Sainthill House is far superior. A superbly well ran home.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. The team at Sainthill House work very hard to ensure they provide outstanding care and it is delivered in a person centred way and when this is recognised by others it is very rewarding. Your sister is loved by all and it is an absolute privilege and a pleasure to support her. She has a smile that lights up a room.
All the staff are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. The food and choices are brilliant. My dad is kept clean, and when we visit, we are made to feel welcome.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review card. The team work hard to ensure our residents are supported in a person-centred way whilst promoting independence, and it is so nice to be able to share with the team that their support is recognised and appreciated by others. It is a pleasure...
When I arrived Mum was looking radiant with a new hairstyle - she'd obviously had extra pampering that morning for her special day.
Lunch was lovely homemade Meatloaf with a selection of fresh vegetables. The staff were all very attentive, cuddling Mum and admiring her new look.
Then a beautiful homemade birthday cake decorated with fresh fruit arrived complete with lit candles and the staff all singing Happy Birthday! They presented Mum with flowers and chocolates, Mum and I were reduced to tears! So unexpected... and so very very kind.
Thank you so much lovely Sainthill people for making Mum's birthday such a special day... she was so chuffed. Also for proving, once again, that my mum is in the best place ever!
Thank you so much for taking the time to send a review and such a lovely one. I have shared your review with the team, and it was a pleasure to see the joy on their faces. Your mum is a pleasure to support; she is kind, funny and always so appreciative to the team and knowing that we are making a difference not only for her but for you too is an absolute delight
My brother was in a previous home, and I wanted to move him to Exeter. I am so pleased I found Sainthill House; it is an amazing home. Everything from the greeting you have on the first meeting to all facilities provided is warm and welcoming. He has a lovely room and excellent care, and I feel so much better knowing that he is being looked after to such a high standard. Many thanks to the manager and all the staff.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review; your review was a pleasure to read. We are so glad that you are happy with the care and support your brother is provided, and it is our pleasure to be able to support such a lovely man. The team work hard to ensure the care provided is...
My mum is the happiest I can remember. She's extremely positive now. I'm so very pleased with how you all look after her.
Regards.

Meet the Team (11)

I began my career in banking before pursuing a career in Health and Social Care when my children were young. During this time, I achieved an HNC Level 4 qualification and started my first role supporting individuals with direct payments to recruit and manage their own care packages, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.
In 2005, I began working with people with learning disabilities and have since progressed through a variety of roles within the sector. Along the way, I achieved both an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management, building extensive experience in supporting individuals, leading teams, and delivering high-quality care services.
I am passionate about developing and supporting teams to provide outstanding person-centred care and ensuring residents enjoy the very best experiences possible. I strongly believe in working in partnership with relatives, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to deliver a truly holistic approach to care.
Although I am relatively new to Sainthill, I hope to bring a broad range of knowledge, experience, and fresh perspectives to the team—always with a smile and a positive attitude.

I am the Managing Director and Group Builder for Vision Healthcare and have spent most of my life involved in the care sector, having grown up around family-owned care homes from an early age.
Together with my wife Holly, I own and lead Vision Healthcare, a family-run care provider focused on delivering outstanding, person-centred care within warm, homely and values-led environments.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Computer Systems & Networks and began my career with Intel Corporation before moving into business development, technology and property ventures. I later joined Vision Healthcare, where I have helped lead the organisation through significant development, modernisation and growth.
A large part of my role focuses on supporting our teams, driving continuous improvement and ensuring we maintain a positive culture for both residents and staff. I have a particular interest in innovation within social care, leadership development and using technology to improve outcomes and quality of life for the people we support.
As Vision Healthcare continues to grow, I remain focused on building sustainable, high-quality services that deliver outstanding care while also creating wonderful places to work.

I have worked for Vision since 2009 and have worked in the care industry since the age of 16, giving me a wealth of knowledge and experience within health and social care. Over the years, I have developed a strong understanding of supporting individuals with a wide range of needs, and I am passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
In 2023, Barnaby and I bought Sainthill from Barnaby’s uncle following his retirement. Since becoming owners, we have been dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and homely environment where residents feel safe, valued, and comfortable. We strongly believe Sainthill should feel like a true home from home for the people who live here.
Alongside my role as Co-Owner and Director, I also oversee HR and recruitment, supporting the growth and development of our team to ensure we continue providing the best possible care and support. I am particularly passionate about empowering our staff, encouraging confidence and development within the workplace, and promoting internal progression opportunities wherever possible.
One of my favourite parts of my role is dropping into the home and spending time with our residents. Seeing them happy, comfortable, and enjoying life brings me so much joy and reminds me why I have always been so passionate about working in care. I take great pride in helping to build a compassionate, supportive environment for both residents and staff, while maintaining the family values that are so important to us at Sainthill.

I am a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years’ experience working within the care home sector. Throughout my career, I have held a variety of both clinical and operational roles within the private sector, giving me a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities involved in delivering high-quality care.
I am passionate about ensuring that every individual receives compassionate, person-centred care and believe strongly in maintaining the highest standards across all areas of service delivery. Supporting teams to provide safe, effective, and dignified care is something I take great pride in.
Outside of work, I live in the countryside with my husband and two children, and I enjoy spending quality time with my family, creating lasting memories. I am also partial to relaxing in a good coffee shop and enjoying good company.

I have worked in the care sector for the past 22 years, gaining experience in a variety of roles ranging from Carer to On-Call Manager. During that time, I developed a strong understanding of the importance of teamwork, compassion, and creating a warm and supportive environment for residents.
More recently, I decided to take a step back from management responsibilities and move into housekeeping, where I continue to play an important role in helping the home feel clean, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone.
I am outgoing, bubbly, and always happy to lend a hand whenever needed. I enjoy being part of a supportive team and take pride in helping residents and colleagues alike.

I look after the company’s finances and have over 25 years of experience working in finance. I hold an AAT qualification and have developed extensive expertise in financial management, budgeting, and supporting organisations to operate effectively and sustainably.
My experience and attention to detail help support the smooth running and continued success of the organisation.

I have worked in the catering industry for many years, holding a variety of managerial roles and gaining extensive experience in food preparation, kitchen management, and delivering quality dining experiences. I am passionate about providing nutritious, enjoyable meals and creating menus that cater to a wide range of tastes and dietary needs.
Before moving into catering, I worked as a Land Surveyor and Site Engineer. These experiences have given me a practical and disciplined approach that continues to support me in my role today.
I take pride in creating delicious meals, maintaining high standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for everyone I serve.

I have worked within the care sector for over 20 years and have built extensive experience across a variety of care roles, including Carer, Senior Carer, Medication Lead, Head of Care, and now Deputy Manager.
I have a strong background in both dementia care and palliative care, supporting individuals with a wide range of physical, emotional, and cognitive needs in a compassionate and person-centred way.
Throughout my career, I have focused on ensuring residents receive high-quality care that promotes dignity, comfort, independence, and wellbeing. I have extensive experience in medication management, care planning, safeguarding, and working closely with residents, families, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for those in my care.
I am passionate about creating a warm, safe, and supportive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and truly at home.

I have worked at Sainthill for four years as the Wellbeing Coordinator. Prior to joining the team, I worked within Special Educational Needs (SEN) and as a Family Support Coordinator, supporting individuals and families to overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes. I also hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Adult and Child Learning Disability Support Practice.
In my role, I support residents to engage in meaningful and enjoyable activities through personalised wellbeing plans tailored to their interests, abilities, and goals. I am passionate about promoting all aspects of wellbeing and helping residents maintain independence, confidence, and a sense of purpose.
What I enjoy most about my role is supporting residents to achieve things they never thought possible. Seeing their confidence grow and being part of those achievements is incredibly rewarding and is what makes my role so fulfilling.

I am a Senior Night Carer with an NVQ Level 3 qualification and three years of experience in the care sector. Before moving into care, I spent 13 years as a qualified Geography teacher. While I thoroughly enjoyed teaching, I was looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to work with people on a more personal level.
I chose a career in care because I felt I had more to offer in helping people feel valued, appreciated, and genuinely cared for. Supporting residents and making a positive difference to their daily lives is incredibly rewarding and gives me a real sense of purpose.
I am naturally caring, compassionate, and approachable, with a positive outlook on life. I am always smiling and enjoy being around genuine people in a supportive and uplifting environment. Building meaningful relationships with residents and ensuring they feel respected, safe, and loved is at the heart of everything I do.

I am originally from the Philippines, where I graduated as a Teacher. After moving to the UK, I chose a career in care because looking after older people is something that is deeply valued within my culture, and I have always been passionate about supporting others.
I hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and a QCF Level 3 qualification, and I have worked in the care sector for over 20 years. Throughout my career, I have gained a wealth of experience and progressed into management roles, becoming part of the leadership team in my previous position.
I am hardworking, dedicated, reliable, caring, and empathetic, and I believe strongly in the importance of teamwork to provide the highest standards of care. I have also worked with people with learning disabilities, which is an area of care I particularly enjoy and find very rewarding.
I am passionate about making a positive difference to people's lives and take pride in ensuring those I support feel valued, respected, and cared for every day.
