My husband was admitted to The Manor House in 2018. He was transferred from hosptial and I was told he was unlikely to walk again after breaking his leg and afterwards, having a massive heart attack. He has since been doing physio and is improving his mobility to walk with an aid and partly wheelchair,
this has happened due to the hard work of all the carers.

In June 2017, my mum's safety was at risk as she began wandering and leaving the premises of the nursing home she was in so it was time to move her. Manor House was the third home I visited and I knew as soon as I was greeted by a member of staff that this was the home for mum. I was made to feel very
welcome and this has continued to this day.
Manor House may look a little tired in places but I believe the care is outstanding and mum is no longer the anxious lady that she was. All residents can wander freely within the home and enter the garden which is safe and secure. Hand on heart I can honestly say that the staff all speak with kindness, compassion and respect to all residents and I would like to say thank you for making mum and myself feel very lucky under the circumstances.

Mum came to 'Manor House' in 2012 from a residential home where she'd been since 2009 where the lack of food and care nearly killed her - literally. Initially, I very wary about the home and its staff at that time, I made it my business to get to know the staff and the manager for those precise reasons.
I can honestly say that I think Manor House is a lovely home for mum to be in. The manager and staff are all very approachable and any sort of problem, you can talk to them. There is not one member of staff who would lie about anything. The residents as far as the manager is concerned, are her family and their welfare, care and protection, is of paramount importance.


Before each resident comes to Manor House she goes to see them personally to assess their needs but also to make sure they will fit in with the residents she already has. There is entertainment every week there are trips out in the summer and residents are allowed to walk around the home if they want to or sit in the lounge/stay in their room as they please. For the residents, the way the manager looks at it is that Manor House is their home. It is clean, has decent furniture and beds are purchased according to the resident's needs. Food looks and tastes good and any dietary needs are catered for.
