Cornerways

We visited my sister today for the first time at Cornerways. Much to my delight she was more motivated and knew who I was even though we had not seen her sine before COVID approximately 3 years ago, at which time she apparently didn't seem to recognise me. We were so pleased to find how much better she was. Thank you for looking after her so well.

Whenever I ring to check on how he is doing whoever answers is always kind and never too busy to tell me how he has been. The home always tries to learn as much as possible about the residents their likes and dislikes and interests, my husband tells me about the meals he has had and seems to enjoy them. It means a lot knowing he is being very well cared for every day.

My father has been in Cornerways now for just over a year, he is happy and very well fed! It is a lovely place to visit! The staff are kind and caring and always happy to see you, you can see the care that they give to the residents. All the admin staff too are great and informative.

Friendly and very informative, it was clear that the wonderful team knew Dad very well and that they genuinely care about him. I have complete peace of mind and nothing but praise for all the staff are Cornerways. Dad is very impressed with the food.

My husband has been a resident at Cornerways Care Home since May 2022. The care he is receiving is excellent. The staff are really caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They have endless patience with my husband. He is not always responsive but I know he feels safe and cared for. Thank you to every single member of staff at Cornerways. Also, thank you for being so kind and understanding to me, it means a lot.

My husband has been very content and happy with the staff and management, they have been kind and caring. This, in turn, gives me some peace of mind. He speaks to me regularly on the phone as I am unable to visit often due to my own health problems.

I can't thank all staff at Cornerways. My brother has been with them for two months now, and the care and attention that's been given to him in that time has been exceptional. You are all wonderful people - thank you.

The staff are very caring and I am so grateful. They will do their best to meet my husband's needs.

The senior staff are excellent, and they answer any queries I have. I can't fault this home; they are brilliant.

We have 100% peace of mind my father-in-law is being looked after and caring for all his needs.

The staff at Cornerways Care Home treat my dad with so much respect and kindness. We feel he is safe and well cared for. He enjoys having the company of the staff and other residents and they often ask him if there is anything they can do or supply to enable him to fulfil his interests. My dad said he couldn't fault the food. His life is more fulfilled and knowing he has someone around 24/7 is very reassuring for our family.

Since Dad moved into Cornerways Care Home he has had nothing but the best of care. The staff are extremely attentive and I think this shows in their excellent management of the Covid-19 pandemic. Dad has always liked his food and Cornerways does not disappoint!

My father was resident from Sept 2017 until his death at 97 on 23/6/19. It was the fir4st home we visited - and it was head and shoulders above others we saw. The home is very clean and all the staff knowledgeable, extremely caring and experienced in dealing with dementia. It is a true home from home. We were able to visit whenever we wanted and always made welcome and offered cups of tea. All the food is homemade and beautiful. They supported my father and us to his last breath. I could not recommend them more.

I found Cornerways to be caring, considerate of residents personal and psychological needs. High standards of professional behaviour from all members of staff. Very impressed with the standard of care given to residents. Visitors were always greeted politely and treated with respect, as were the residents.

We as a family can't thank the staff enough for their support and compassion shown not only to us but to our mother when she was at the end of her journey.

My husband was well cared for and was happy despite the dementia. The staff I came into contact with were great to both him and me - even to the end. The night duty staff were amazing.

Staffing issues were a problem but that is endemic in the sector.

My late brother was a resident of Cornerways for the last three years of his life and during that time the family were very happy with all aspects of his care.

The care my father has received during this time has been exemplary. I have met at least fifteen members of staff and all of them have shown a sensitively and affection that goes beyond what I expected. I have shared a room with my father for a week given his terminal condition and have been overwhelmed by the care and attention I've received also! The only problem is the labyrinth in a building which has been adapted for purpose but the carers more than make up for any inconvenience caused by that.

My father was very old (101) and he had excellent care. I live in Birmingham so my visits were not as frequent as I would have wished but every time I met with dad I was really impressed with the care there. I would not hesitate to recommend Cornerways because of these high standards in all fields of care and personal support.
