Cornerways is close to Preston Sands seafront in Paignton. The home is arranged over three floors with a number of different spacious and light day rooms on the ground floor. The residents enjoy many activities including cooking within their own kitchen. It has a lovely patio although also likes to take advantage of its proximity to the beach with its own beach hut.

All staff cared for and cared about my husband in a genuine manner, through the year I have visited him 3 days a week staying 4-6 hours every time and joining him in the dining room for the days main meal. The whole building always smells fresh and any spills are always dealt with immediately. The carers
always answer residents questions as if hearing them for the first time when in fact it's probably the 4th or 5th time in the last half and hour from the same resident. Marvellous! They also give caring answers to awkward and sometimes upsetting questions. Brilliant!

Looking for care home for my husband. My first impression was the warmth and friendliness of all the staff and now after just a short time I know I have chosen the right care home for our needs. My husband has settled well thanks to all at Cornerways also they have been so kind to me at this very stressful
time. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.

Job Title: Interim Home Manager

I joined Cornerways as a Night Senior, bringing over 10 years of NHS experience from various hospital wards. When COVID turned the world upside down, I moved to day shifts and gradually worked my way through several roles to where I am today.


Cornerways genuinely feels like my second home. I feel incredibly lucky to lead such a brilliant team and care for our lovely residents—each one with their own stories, quirks, and ability to make me laugh every single day.


When not at work, I am married with three brilliant children and grandchildren whom I adore.
