Overall Experience

On the whole I am very satisfied with the treatment given by staff at most times of the day and night when needed. Kind and conscientious even when very busy, nothing is too much trouble and when not well in health the right medical help is available when needed. My only slight complaint is that I often feel cold. The heating is turned off when I need some background warmth especially in the bathroom and bedroom first thing in the morning and evening.

Overall Experience

Mum's time there was a very important step in her route into residential care. I would have liked her to remain there if they had been able to provide the nursing care she required and at a price we could afford.

Overall Experience
Mum has been using the daycare service for a hoisted bath and lunch for a few months which she enjoys and recently stayed for a few days to enable me to have a break. The staff couldn't have been kinder or more welcoming to her, her individual needs were well catered for (she is has poor sight and hearing)

The Hyde is clean and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. She enjoyed the food and was able to choose from a good menu, her room was ideal. The home is beautifully and comfortably furnished. She was also able to enjoy the grounds and well kept gardens. She is happy to be returning later in the year.

Overall Experience

The level of care provided is exceptional. All the staff are genuinely lovely, my aunt is so much happier since being at The Hyde and she has a lot more confidence, also I don't have to worry about her, knowing she has 24 hour care is a big weight off my mind. I would highly recommend The Hyde.

Introducing Rebecca Dawe

Home Manager at The Hyde, Bridport

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?

“Empathy, dignity and wellbeing.”

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Rebecca has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.

Rebecca closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She decided to work in the care sector because, as a young child, she helped her grandmother care for children with learning difficulties; this gave her a passion to improve the lives of others.

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Rebecca remarked:

“Working in an amazing team who are dedicated in providing the highest levels of care.”

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, including her sons, and she also enjoys travelling. She counts herself very lucky that she was able to go traveling to East Africa and worked in two orphanages and a maternity hospital.

If you would like to find out more about The Hyde, Rebecca would be delighted to have an informal discussion with you over the phone to answer any questions and provide further information.
