Nazareth Lodge

Mum spent 2.5 years at Nazareth Lodge. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Mum had vascular dementia but was still able to have a laugh and joke with her carers. When I visited, I could see that the relationship mum had with the staff was very positive. It is very homely and there is a lovely, family atmosphere. The food is good and mum was very well cared for. In her final few weeks, the love and compassion shown to mum was exceptional and was extended to me when I sat with her. I have no regrets about our choice of Nazareth Lodge.

Dad is a dementia resident and is often in bed when I visit. He is looked after well and treated with respect. Although dad doesn't know me anymore, I am happy that he is comfortable, clean and encouraged to eat and drink. His room is always warm, clean and tidy. The management team should be awarded several medals in their response to the Covid situation. They managed to keep it out of the care home from the beginning until after the vaccinations had taken place, and then only one or two residents had mild symptoms. The weekly newsletter is lovely to read and I forward it on to his grandchildren.

Despite Covid, there have been no cases amongst residents or staff to date and that is only due to how the home is managed. We are kept up to date with events via a weekly newsletter, including what the residents have achieved, experienced and participated in during the previous week. I have no hesitation in recommending Nazareth Lodge to others.

Fantastic dedicated staff - this year has been extremely difficult for families especially as I live in Australia and had to cancel planned visits due to travel restrictions. The staff and management have kept us informed, helped mum with Zoom meetings and answered all our concerns - they have cared for and engaged mum as one of their family and it is great to feel she is being loved and cared for.

We have been extremely happy with the outstanding care mum and dad have received whilst at Nazareth Lodge. The home is welcoming and everyone is treated with respect. This has been a difficult year for families with restricted visiting and the staff have done everything they can to make the residents be safe, healthy, happy and not isolated.

A friendly small home with good staffing levels and low staff turnover. The accommodation is pleasant and well maintained. The staff have been very helpful in managing my Mother’s increasing disabilities with tact and good humour. They have coped well with the restrictions due to COVID.

During what has been an extremely challenging time for everyone with Covid-19 the care shown by all the staff to the residents while we as relatives could not support them, has been amazing. They have treated everyone like their own parent or grandparent. No standards have dropped, in fact, the extra measures put in place have been more rigorous and rightly so. The result is a clean bill of health for everyone and to now be able to visit, sit in the garden, hold hands and laugh together is testimony to the exceptional way Nazareth Lodge is run. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done to make life good for my mother.

Nazareth Lodge is run in a very efficient and secure manner. The staff seem to have endless patience. I have marked down the facilities section because there was no lift available.

My mother has been extremely well looked after at Nazareth Lodge. The staff are very kind and the managers are very friendly and efficient. We have always been informed immediately of any change in my mother's condition. She has a very nice room and the food is excellent. I would highly recommend Nazareth Lodge.

One country to another they are always keeping us informed on what is going on in the home.

A lovely care home with family values and wonderful staff. My mum is well-dressed, well-fed and always looked after. A great find for us as a family.

My mum went into Nazareth Lodge initially for respite last September and is now a permanent resident. I knew the moment I walked in that I had found the perfect place for her as all the staff were so welcoming. I cannot fault the care my mum has had since moving in and I know she now sees it as her home. I would highly recommend this care home.

My mother is extremely happy here, she has been resident for 9 months. She has very mild dementia and receives excellent care. The food is first class and she enjoys whatever activity is provided. The staff are always inclusive and welcoming at any time of day.

Prior to my uncle's eventual arrival 10 weeks ago, the management of the home were superb in their support for us during a difficult time and arranging the transport from a hospital a few counties away. Thanks to the staff he has settled in well and we are pleased our initial very good impressions of the home have been borne out.

My mother has lived at Nazareth Lodge for a year now and throughout that period she has received excellent care. The staff are kind and considerate the atmosphere is cosy and homely with plenty of social engagement and activities on offer and a beautiful garden to enjoy.

I know that everything possible was done to make my wife's stay as comfortable as it could be. I look forward to another visit to Nazareth Lodge in the future.

I have been visiting my cousin for a few months now and am very happy to see the level of care has been extremely high all that time. There have been many improvements to the home in the last few months which only make it a better place to live and visit.

The focus has been on exceptional care and all staff are focused on the individual and ensuring there is an activity suitable for everyone. Family and friends are encouraged to take part in all aspects of life at the home. Truly one in a million!
