Review from Richard H (Brother of Resident) published on 15 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My sister Madeleine has been resident in St Annes Court for over four years now and is well settled and has been looked after very well.
The staff are friendly and attentive and well used to, and tolerate, her little quirks.

As her younger brother and only surviving relative it has fallen to me to make sure that she is secure and well looked after and Sy Annes Court has given me the peace of mind that this is so.

Very happy with all aspects of care given. Respect and compassion shown by all staff. Some good changes made by new care manager - e.g laundry and cleaning by designated staff. New safety features. Love to see the residents enjoying the live music and entertainment laid on.

The staff are always friendly and caring towards the residents and families. I am made to feel welcome anytime announced or unannounced. I can ring up with enquiries or just to ask how my parent has been. They are busy but always make time for a little chat.

Overall, I am satisfied with the care my mother receives. The staff are kind, and communication with family has been good.
The home is clean and well maintained, with ongoing improvements and repairs. It is reassuring to know that my mother is in a safe environment.

We are so grateful to all the staff for the wonderful care they gave our dad throughout his journey with Alzheimer's.

Dad was a cheeky character who loved rearranging furniture and even managed to break two Christmas trees during his time there! The staff always treated him with patience, kindness, and good humour, while ensuring he was safe, comfortable, and respected.

The compassion shown to Dad, and to our family during his final days and after his passing, meant so much to us. Thank you for caring for him with such dignity and warmth. We will never forget your kindness.

I would highly recommend St Annes Court to anyone looking for a home for their loved one.

Reply from Victoria Keddy, Manager at St Anne's Court

Thank you, HC it was our pleasure to care for him, he made everyday special and his smile was something to be admired, even when rearranging furniture.

Our mum has been a resident here for approximately 3 years. The care provided is second to none. The team are amazing and truly cares for their residents and knows all their foibles, likes and dislikes.
Headed by the manager (who was immensely helpful in the transition of our mum going from home to care home), nothing is too much trouble. We are always invited to have meals and drinks are immediately offered when we arrive. In this challenging environment, there is never a grumble or harsh word spoken, instead, the residents are showered with affection and any contretemps are swiftly dealt with calmly and gently by this skilful team.
Finally a shout out to the backbones of the team.

Grateful thanks to you all.

It has been a pleasure to visit my sister-in-law at St Anne's Court, the hospitality shines in every visit. No matter what time we visit there is always a smiling, happy welcome and always a tray of tea or coffee with biscuits. The home is kept bright and cheerful and patients and staff look relaxed, a lovely atmosphere to visit and live in. After taking my sister-in-law out, no problems when taking her back, she is welcomed back into the field and so nice to leave her with a staff member chatting away and laughing, a lovely feeling and we feel good as we know she is well and truly looked after.

We are so pleased Mum chose to move to St Anne's Court just over one year ago, settling in so well. The staff make every effort to accommodate individual needs and personalities. With Mum's inevitable deterioration it has given all the family peace of mind knowing she is always receiving the best care. Mum's family and friends are always made to feel very welcome, it's one big family!

We cannot praise St Anne's Court enough for the care they give my mum. Mum is treated as an individual, and everything is personalised to meet Mum's needs. All staff are kind and caring, and we are always treated with warmth and kindness. We really do feel like we have joined a family. Communication between us and the home is fantastic, and the manager and senior staff really do go above and beyond. I hope other care homes could experience St Anne's Court so that everyone gets to have the care my mum receives.

My brother has been a resident at St Annes Court residential care home, Bournemouth, since April 2022 where he has received the highest quality care that you could wish for. The professional, friendly and caring staff have been outstanding and first class throughout his stay and their understanding of his condition and personal needs is exceptional as is the kindness shown to me and other family members.

I hold the highest regard for all staff involved in the successful running of St Anne's Court. Words cannot express fully the extreme pleasure of my husband's love; their efficiency and caring are always a true pleasure to see and has to be top of the sales! Staff make eye contact when asking questions of them, always with huge smiles. Attention to detail is confidence-building for visitors of the patients. Our two daughters are fully assured I made this very right choice in St Anne's Court.

My mother passed away peacefully at St Anne's Court after enjoying her twilight years there. She did not have Covid. The manager and her staff were exemplary in maintaining a Covid-free home, and my mother continued to receive outstanding medical and social care in a very safe and loving environment. Across the board, every staff member was cheerful, compassionate and diligent during this very stressful and challenging period. Yet maintaining the high quality of care that my mum had always received. While we could not visit, I knew Mum was in the best hands possible. When she passed, the manager and her staff were there to support us with compassion and love, which was in keeping with the nature of St Anne's Court.

We have since still been included and invited to parties at the home. Such as the Jubilee tea party, which was a fantastic afternoon. An amazing tea and great entertainment. The ethos of St Anne's Court to me is that it is a “beautiful family home“ and also a “beautiful home for families“.
